I did all that I was supposed to do and…
I did all that I was supposed to do and also had my car title notarized. My car was picked up. When I went to the DMV to give them my and told them I donated my car, they said that nothing was done to my car and that I had to pay the taxes on it. I called back the VforV and was told that I never had the car notarized and that they might not have the car I donated because it had been over a year. I told them that I did and that it was not a stamped-in ink notarization but a pressed-in one done by the UPS store. The woman checked on my title and said that it was notarized. I asked her what she or the VforV was going to do about that since I have to pay taxes on a car that I donated and she said nothing and would send me proof that I donated the car, which should have been done long ago. I don't use a computer much, just my granddaughter's when I need to. So VandV mailed me proof. I finally went back to the DMV to show them so I didn't have to pay the taxes. You try to do something nice and you go through hell about it. I didn't even get an apology for their mistake. I won't donate again.
