Would give zero stars if I could.
My experience with Therapie has been deeply distressing, and I feel a genuine responsibility to warn others. During one of my laser treatments, I suffered burns—something I had never experienced in any of my previous sessions with different staff members. What makes this even more alarming is that a close family member, who was treated by the same practitioner a couple of weeks prior, also sustained burns as well as severe facial discolouration and pigmentation. We both immediately felt that our sessions were unusually painful compared to past treatments, and the injuries we were left with confirmed that something had gone seriously wrong. But the treatment injuries were only the start of the ordeal. What followed felt cold, dismissive, and deeply disappointing. Therapie’s handling of the situation came across as more focused on protecting themselves than on supporting the people who were harmed. Despite the seriousness of our injuries, they provided no transparent or convincing evidence from their “internal investigation” to show that no negligence had occurred. Instead, the process felt heavily geared towards shifting blame rather than taking accountability. What shocked me the most was how the complaints and refund process seemed designed to limit how freely customers can speak about their experiences. In my personal view, the emphasis appeared to be on protecting the company’s reputation and income rather than doing the right thing by clients who have been injured. The way the situation was handled left me feeling discouraged from openly sharing my experience, and gave me the impression that minimising negative reviews was a higher priority than genuine care. Adding to this, my Data Subject Access Request (DSAR)—a legal right—was handled appallingly. I submitted it in early October and responded immediately to their verification request. Despite this, my emails went unanswered, follow-ups were ignored, and they later attempted to claim that they had never received the information that I had sent on the very same day. I had to point out the exact email timestamps to demonstrate that their statements were not accurate. The entire DSAR process felt evasive, unprofessional, and incredibly disrespectful—especially given that this involved an injury and sensitive personal data. After weeks of contradictory communication and avoidable delays, I am now escalating the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office because I no longer trust Therapie to handle data transparently or responsibly. This experience has been painful, emotionally draining, and deeply disappointing. From the burns themselves to the way I felt dismissed, unheard, and discouraged from speaking openly, I have lost all trust in this organisation. Based on everything I have been through, I cannot recommend Therapie to anyone. In my opinion, they lack transparency, accountability, and genuine care for the wellbeing of the clients who put their trust in them! The below response is curiously silent on the fact that I have requested my data and they have thus far failed to comply and incorrectly tried to state I did not provide them with information requested. I stand by the above.
