A good experience, if surgery can be.
I had a hernia repair at short notice, in a clean and modern hospital. I was provided with a comfortable room with an en suite bathroom and TV. I had two pre op visits to the hospital for my initial consultation with the surgeon and a pre-op assessment and was dealt with efficiently and in a caring manner by all staff. I was offered the choice between a general anaesthetic or epidural but on explanation of the drawbacks of the epidural I opted for the general anaesthetic. After a couple of days at home a nurse called to check that I was having no problems.
