WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! AVOID TID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
It is now ... 601 days ... 86 week ... 19 months SINCE my husband and I travelled to New York on what we thought would be one of the most wonderful experiences of our life. It was. Until we had to make a claim with TID Travel Insurance. The current JOKE of the Australian travel insurance sector. After breaking my wrist, I was unable to remain barely conscious with the pain, and the associated nausea and dizziness. Hospitalisation in Brooklyn led to emergency treatment, which then led to two necessary surgeries to correct the damage done to my wrist. We have been locked in conflict with TID ever since regarding their NON PAYMENT OF OUR CLAIM. For anyone reading this, FIND ANOTHER INSURER. They are heartless and insincere people who have no real desire to help you. We are currently out of pocket to the tune of $15,000. I noticed the other day that one of their posts was offering condolences to the poor victims of the Nice tragedy. God. Let's hope none of the them had insurance with these people! TID can't even look after their own local legitimate policy holders! My reviews on their Facebook page are constantly deleted and I notice on their website that they don't have negative reviews at all. Isn't that funny? What company only has perfect reviews?
