Recently I had to make claims for two items while on an overseas trip. A camera was accidently left in a taxi in Mumbai and my prescription sunglasses were stolen in Naples. I had reported both to authorities and TID made the process of claiming simple and effortless. However, owing to a misreading of the information, one of the claims was valued well and truly below its actual cost. On explaining the problem TID rectified it and paid out promptly. Having the correct information, receipts and so on will greatly expedite a successful claim.
