Check the small print!!!!
Pretty awful experience. I thought i had been given a 'guaranteed' sale price and a set time for collection (Between 2pm and 5pm on Friday 10 May) from a reputable and professional company, Remove My Car. Four days later, the car is still on my drive. If you check the Terms and Conditions (I DIDN'T, to my regret), the set-up quickly becomes apparent. Remove My Car is the online shopfront - who instantly give you a quote and then (just as instantly) hand the job on to a local scrap dealer. In my case, they turned up just before midday, although to their credit, did give a very begrudging "take the new time or just FO" kind of 'notice about the new time beforehand. And then started to quibble about the 'guaranteed' price. Admittedly, at least they were honest and upfront about this; they didn't have to be because, if you look at the small print, you only get the money AFTER the car is removed. Up to 3 days later. I'm definitely not saying RMC is a scam. It's just that, in my experience, the appearance was far from the reality. With the massive difference being hidden in the small print. So do yourself a favour and read it, so you know what to expect. RMC have asked for more details to validate my comments. Registration Y442 AGH. I'll look up the exact RMC reference but they know it as they have already replied to me with their opinion of the events. Along the lines of "the dealer had every right to reduce the "guaranteed" quote - it is clear in the T&Cs". Which is totally correct, technically, but not the response I was hoping for. #customerservice
