One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with
I am genuinely surprised to see so many positive reviews for Swyft Energy, as my experience was deeply disappointing from beginning to end. The initial assessment with Des was excellent — he was professional and helpful. Swyft Energy also impressed me initially with a prompt quote and a discount offer if I proceeded quickly, which suited my urgent need for a new boiler. However, once I signed the contract, the communication became non-existent. Despite multiple calls, I was continually promised a callback from a representative named Jessica — a call which never came until I threatened to cancel after two and a half weeks of silence. When installation was finally scheduled, the crew arrived at 8AM — but when my tenants asked for a brief 15-minute delay, they simply left without informing anyone. Despite assurances from Swyft Energy that I would be contacted to rearrange, no one called for over a week. To make matters worse, when I followed up, I was told I had incurred a €550 "missed appointment fee" — a fee that had never been mentioned before and that, frankly, was outrageous given the circumstances. It was only after submitting formal complaints and providing video evidence from a neighbor’s camera that Swyft Energy agreed to waive the fee. The re-arranged installation date took place two months after my initial contract signing, and even then, the day before, I was informed it needed to be postponed again due to an emergency — no mention of a fee that time, notably. When the boiler was finally installed, the experience was, sadly, no better. The installers were rude and dismissive when I asked questions. Worse still, the installation itself did not match what had been agreed upon: instead of running two pipes discreetly through a corner into a wall, they drilled holes unnecessarily and routed piping across my ceiling — without consulting me at any stage. When questioned about the poor workmanship, the response I received was both unprofessional and insulting. Now, I am left having to hire someone else to fix the mess. Given the amount of money I paid, the quality of service and workmanship I received is utterly unacceptable. In summary: Swyft Energy were quick to take my deposit, but completely absent when it came to communication, customer care, or professional standards. I strongly advise others to think very carefully before choosing them. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Swyft Energy to anyone.
