This is for the GTxpress at 1085…

This is for the GTxpress at 1085 Wellington West in Ottawa. Today was one of the most unpleasant shopping experiences of my life. The blonde lady manager here is a vile, nasty person. I am low income so I came in with a $30 community centre voucher and I was on the list for a $20 voucher from a local church. This was the second time I was on the voucher list and there had been a problem the other time as well. I had quickly found my name the last time and I was confident I could find my time again but instead I was given a number to call which I did. The lady promised she would sort it out but when she called back...apparently this lady manager despises so much being wrong that she badmouths me to voucher lady on the phone. Says I am extremely rude and have a horrible attitude. I am just trying to explain my case and stand up for myself and get enough groceries so I can survive until the end of the mouth. But I guess that is what passes for rude these days. Anyway long story short she convinces her not to honour the second coupon and now I am banned from getting future vouchers because I was "rude" and supposedly I am out of the church's service area. Not true because my neighbour Steve in the same boarding house receives that very same voucher. Also I get a lecture about having 2 vouchers...if two different resources offer me a voucher I'm supposed to turn them down? If you're in need you'll take help from any resources who are willing to give it to you. Anyway at the end of it all I'm forced to return several groceries which I needed to get through the month just because this woman chooses to be vindictive, I got people staring at me like I'm a criminal and she manages to burn a future resource for me as well. Meanwhile lady manager has the biggest smirk on her face as half my groceries fade into the abyss. I guess some people just like to use the little bit of power they have in their life to make things miserable for low income people. I felt like asking her if humiliating me was making her feel better but by the dazzling smile on her face the answer to that was obvious. My only consolation is I will never have to see her again because I wouldn't go back if I was offered free groceries for the rest of my life.
