Absolutely shocking company
Absolutely horrendous experience. I took out a new contract with ID mobile after being lured away from Vodafone with an amazing deal. Wish I hadn’t bothered. Two weeks after I switched I still couldn’t send or receive messages and calls. After a couple of days of using the annoying and time consuming chat box I figured how to make calls and texts but not receive. After speaking to over 20 (no exaggeration) different people over 5 days, I escalated it to complaints department. They told me to wait 24-48 hours and it would be sorted. 48 hours later still not sorted. I was told it would be escalated to another team and would be another 24-48 hours but would definitely be sorted. Friday came around and still not receiving calls and texts - kind of the point of a telephone. I rang up - because they couldn’t call me - and was told another 24-48 hours but as it was “business days” I would be looking at the following Tuesday. I changed the sim off their advice - going out of my way to a Curry’s to get a new one and it didn’t solve the issue. After three weeks of giving them a chance I cancelled the contract and sent it back to them. I’m still waiting for a refund on the upfront cost, the return postage cost (which I was promised I would get back) and half the first months bill. God knows when I will see that. It is next to impossible to speak to an actual person on the phone. The chat is ridiculously frustrating as they do not listen to you, they are chatting to a million other people and just give you the same script even when you have told them it doesn’t work. I’ve spent hours and hours and hours everyday chasing people just wasting my time. I’d never recommend this company to anyone. I took out another contract with a different company (£2 more a month) and they done my switch over in 24hours, receiving and sending calls aswell.
