My Instagram account was hacked
My Instagram account was hacked. Someone changed all my login credentials — email, password, and even added two-factor authentication that I never activated myself. From that point on, I had zero access to my account, and worse, the hacker started posting inappropriate content pretending to be me. I tried everything to recover it: • I submitted the official forms multiple times, • I attached my ID and personal details, • I asked friends to report the hacked account, • I followed every single step from Instagram’s help center, • I waited days… and nothing. No confirmation email, no contact, no progress. Silence. Then I tried to create new accounts, thinking I could start fresh. I changed my email, changed my IP address, even changed my username entirely. Still — each new account got banned instantly, sometimes seconds after creating it, without even posting anything. No explanation. Just automatic suspension. At this point, it’s clear Instagram had flagged my device or identity — and I was being punished for being hacked. That’s insane. I work in tech. I know how cloud systems and recovery flows work. Instagram’s system is broken, robotic, and completely unhelpful. The support is non-existent. The “security” is so extreme that even real users can’t get back in, and the hackers walk free. Instagram failed me. I lost my account, my memories, my photos, and my peace of mind. And after weeks of trying, I still don’t have a solution.
