Our experience with Centauro in Mallorca was nothing short of a nightmare. We had already paid for full protection coverage in advance with our reservation, yet when we arrived, the staff flat-out refused to give us the car unless we paid again for full protection on the spot. It was a blatant scam, and we were essentially held hostage at the counter – either cough up more money or walk away without a car. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they charged us an additional €51 as a “deposit” for returning the car in good condition. Surprise – the money has never been refunded, and any attempt to contact them about it has been ignored. Absolutely disgraceful. The staff were shockingly rude, completely uninterested in helping or even explaining anything clearly. Their office looked run-down, chaotic, and unprofessional — not at all what you’d expect from a supposedly reputable car rental company. This place shouldn’t just be avoided — it should be shut down. There’s no excuse for the level of dishonesty and customer mistreatment we experienced. If you’re thinking of renting from Centauro in Mallorca: don’t. Just don’t. There are plenty of other companies that won’t try to scam you the minute you walk in the door.
