I told them of my plans and they didn't stop harassing me anyways

I bought a house four months ago. At the time, one of the many projects was needing a new front door. I was on the West Shore Home website to request a quote. Two MONTHS later a rep called me about the quote I requested. I was surprised how long they took to contact me but no big deal, I had since realized I had a number of bigger, more important projects than a front door. I told the rep I didn't see a point in sending a salesman out anymore as I'm at least a year away from completing higher priority renovations. The rep assured me a visit from a saleman was still a good idea as whatever quote the provided was good for a year. I agreed to the appointment thinking there was a chance I'd be ready for a new door at that time. "Renee" came out and I told him the same thing I told the rep on the phone - I am NOT buying anything right now. This is a low priority project that I might get around to in about a year. Renee was a very good salesman and I was on board to buy from them when I was ready after his pitch. Days later I started getting calls from West Shore Home. Repeated calls...even though I told the original rep on the phone, THEN their saleman, I'm a year out. After a handful of unwanted calls, I texted Renee to tell him I made it perfectly clear to everyone I was a year away from this project. I told him I think you have a good product but if your team keeps harassing me w/ unwanted phone calls, I will not do business with you. Please make them stop. He texted back, "sounds good". The next day I got another call from West Shore Home. Needless to say, I'm now getting upset about these harassing calls. I texted Renee again telling him his team called me AGAIN after I requested he make them stop and that West Shore Home has now permanently lost my business. His response to that was the exact same "sounds good". ONE hour later, West Shore Home calls me AGAIN!!!!! I have since blocked their number. They might have a good product but their sales tactics are deplorable. I'd rather buy an inferior product than support a business who operates this way.

Took over a year to instal the patio…

Took over a year to instal the patio door from point of order. I had to cancel due to flooding in my home and when I wanted to rearrange it was so hard. so I agreed to have it done in 2025 but trying to rearrange the installation was just so hard. they have no customer service you cannot talk to the branch manager etc. The Salesman Steve Howell was kind but once got these was not very helpful in fact never took my calls if you ring up the installation department and then ask to talk to a manager they cannot transfer you. anyway eventually we had a fitting date only for them to turn up installed it well but screen was not fitted due to handle being wrong so instead of coming back the next day had to wait another 5 days for them to come back time was between 4pm and 6pm turned up at 7pm. only not be able to fit the screen due wheels being broke so had to wait another 5 days time arranged was 4.30pm to 6pm turned up a 6.30pm took 20 minutes good guy. I would never buy from these ever again. the salesman was in my house 4 hours pressure was so hard. they are just not worth the effort. very very poor company full of excuses. do not buy keep away from them they are over priced and once they have your money then they just dont care.

On a brutal summer day

On a brutal summer day, I had an appointment for a sliding glass door installation. West Shore Home of Salisbury MD provided an amazing staff for the project. Mike and Nick initially began the work and latter joined by RD and RJ. Unfortunately, the requirements were more intense than originally planned. Nonetheless, the crew finished the task with true professionalism. All company policy procedures were observed throughout the day. The finished work functions as expected and delivered clean and neat. Customer satisfaction is vital to West Shore Home's success. I selected West Shore Home as I wanted to have one contact for all my project needs from sales to service. There is no third party contractor or sub contractor involvement. I recommend the product and services of West Shore Home of Salisbury MD for current and future customers..

Unprofessional Sales Tactics

Be cautious of their sales tactics and the pressure to upsell additional products. I was satisfied with what I had agreed upon during my initial consultation with the consultant. However, I received a call on Sunday—just one day before the consultant was scheduled to return for me to sign the paperwork. The call was to inform me that the manager wanted to come back and discuss some additional options. The representative would not share any details over the phone, which I found unprofessional. I expressed my concerns, feeling that the company was only interested in upselling me items I did not want or need. As a result, I decided not to proceed with this company. Proceed with caution if you're considering their services.

Purched my windows 2/24 and was very happy with them until I broke something, "pretty sure it wes my falt". I called them on Monday and Thursday morning JASON showed up right on time and had it fixed within minutes 😀. Very professional and friendly service from person taking the call and repairman. I've had no issues at all with the services they provided.

This process was everything but the hassle-free advertised. One day tub replacement turned into more than a month before the project was completed and acceptable. The techs were nice people, but struggled with skill and problem solving. Customer service was less than polite and very ready to pin their errors on me. We used this company because of the promised quick turn around and were without a shower for a month. The price was excessive for the quality of work and hassle of getting the project completed. I would not recommend this company.

They had to do the shower over due to crappy work. When tearing out their crappy work, they damaged the drywall. Did a crappy job again. Do not allow these people in your house. WE are getting black mold around the caulking which they repaired one already. The black mold is back and they are telling us we have to pay for their crappy labor. This company is a rip off an I have the pics to prove it

Run from these people

I'm with the other two commenters who showed up first - their markup should be illegal. I did a back of the napkin (and I've run 100M P&L in manufacturing and while I don't know their exact costs, i bring this up as I'm making a very educated guess - 35 years education in pricing, etc!) their markup is minimum 400% and likely closer to 700%. They are the reason Americans have a bad reputation - with each other! There should be laws against this kind of userous pricing. But sadly there don't seem to be and greed continues its march over humanity. SMH.

#1. The salesman, Ryan, was very informative and easy to work with. #2. Curt M. and Tyler R. were here right on time. They were friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable about the installation of the shower. They were also very efficient about getting the job done!

Beware of Overpriced Quotes

Beware of Overpriced Quotes – Do Your Research First I recently had West Shore Home come out to quote a door installation using ProVia doors. While the product itself seemed solid, the quote I received was a jaw-dropping $8,500 — and that’s the most basic door , no glass or addons. without any clear itemized breakdown. No explanation of the actual door cost, installation, hardware, or labor — just a vague “all-inclusive” number. After doing my homework, I found out you can purchase the same ProVia door through other local dealers or contractors for significantly less, with transparent pricing and similar lead times. West Shore is clearly inflating the total cost and hoping most people don’t compare. If you’re considering them, shop around first. You might be surprised how much you're overpaying for the same product. Demand a detailed quote and don’t fall for high-pressure sales tactics — their product isn’t the issue, it’s the pricing model.

Scammers

I had a salesman come out to give me a quote to replace a tub and put in a shower. He started out trying to convince me of their 5 star ratings with everybody including BBB. 1st quote $25,000 then we made a couple adjustments and dropped it to $17595. I told him another company had quoted me $14995 with payments of $142 a month then all of the sudden they were willing to meet that price if I agreed 1. put a sign in the yard advertising for them & 2. agree to those terms right then. I don't like high pressure sales so I instantly told him no sale I'll go with the other company. After he left I looked up their BBB rating they had over 375 complaints in 3 years and 175 of those were just a year ago.

This company preys upon elderly people.

Avoid this slimeball company. Their obnoxious advertising on tv is intentionally marketed to elderly people. The salesman will be syrupy sweet in person, acting like your grandson or the boy next door, but it's all a facade. They put on an act, like you're getting a great deal, but you're getting scammed. Expect the quote they give you to be no less than $12,000 for a basic shower install.

Be Aware!

Be Aware! West Shore Home should be ashamed of itself for taking advantage of a senior citizen trying to make her bathroom safe. My 85-year-old mother just (within a week) had her bathroom remodeled by West Shore Homes. They charged her $20,000.00 for a floor, a fiberglass shower stall without a door, a vanity without shelves, and a toilet! And the material appeared to be prefabricated. Her bathroom is tiny—a 5'x6' space. The footprint is even less for the flooring because it has a sink with a cabinet, a toilet, and a shower. Their work did not include her walls, molding, or a shower door! There is no way they did $20,000.00 worth of work in her bathroom! And for the record, her flooring, plumbing, and electrical were in great shape before the redo. West Shore Home practice may be lawful, but it is unethical. Please be aware of this and protect your elderly relatives.

Impact Windows Replacement

I normally don't write the reviews unless something really good or really bad. And Westshore Home is one of the really bad one that I need to write the review to let people know so they can avoid making the same mistake like me. I could give them zero star if I had a choice. This company is extremely bad in both doing their job and customer service. First of all, Steve Howel was the sale rep I had dealt with for my home impact windows replacement. He offered a discount with a condition that I must give a 5-Star review before the work even started. He also tricked me to sign finance agreement without processing fee but his finance department still charged me $148.50. He had promised me many times thru text messages to refund me the fee but never did. He's now stop responding to my text message completely. I took them nearly 4 months to complete the job of replacing 14 widows. None of the Westshore crew working the job were able to speak English; therefore, I couldn't communicate with them at all. The stucco around the old windows were removed for the installations of the new windows and it took them over 2 months to fix the gaps between the new windows and the existing stucco. The is the worst company I've ever experienced with. Please stay away from this company.

Quoted over 18k!

I was just quoted over 18k and that didn’t include tearing out tile, nor did it include the glass door even! This was for tearing out the jacuzzi tub, applying the protection on the walls and the shower basin with the material they use. Also a tiny bit of plumbing for the drain. Insane!!!!! My son is a plumber and can do the entire job but I wanted it done quickly. I asked if my son could do the plumbing since it’s already there he just needs to carry it up the wall and maybe relocate the drain - over the phone they said yes he could but sales rep said no he cannot. And that’s fine but wow 18k and not even doing the floor nor the glass shower door! That’s outrageous!!!!

westshorehomes.com is sending malicious email ads that cannot be blocked, cannot be ruled out and worse yet when deleting it, it reappears again in the inbox and hold box. I am using outlook mail. These emails were unsolicited and unwanted. I have never contacted the firm therefore question how they got my email. For 35 days I have requested they stop sending this email. They have refused to stop! If they stoop this low in advertising I would never trust them in my home!!!!!
