Excellent introduction to water no matter how young your baby
The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Progressive and fun
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

Would not recommend
The water babies classes are not good value for money and the customer service is poor. We had an expectation set that we would have one tutor for the whole of our term however we had three. This made for inconsistent teaching methods and classes that were duplicated, not what you expect when you are paying this much. Photograph is noted as not permitted however almost all attending spectators walk around poolside filming or photographing the lesson. I appreciate that as a parent you want to capture this occasion but it should not be permitted without consent from all parents as their children are also in these pictures due to minimal distance between each pair when in the water. Spectators were allowed during COVID dispute is being told it was not and when questioning this with the staff we were told they did not know why the spectators had been allowed but they were there again week after week so this was clearly not communicated or just ignored. We also had another issue and the response from the team in email was appalling. I do not recommend these classes and will not be returning for another term.

Excellent lessons dire company
Excellent lessons and teacher. Admin and organisationally shambolic. Try to charge twice. Respond to emails slow often incorrect, company policy continue to say sorry but never. Change. Lack of communication, results are after dutifully paying during covid and waiting for lesson to restart. Attending every session. They gave the child's space away. After email and calls promising this would not happen. It did, extremely upset child. Nothing can be do to sort no spaces and limp we are sorry. Also extremely expensive lesson in a pool members of the public often walk through, and sit in hot tubs watching children in lessons. Very odd set up safeguarding wise.

I would not recommend water babies
I would not recommend water babies, we have had an awful experience with lessons being cancelled very last minute and as lessons are term time only - you don’t get the continuity you need. Very expensive compared to other options.

A no pressure approach really worked for us.
We started Water Babies with our son at 4months old. His dad is not a lover of water all and so I wanted my little boy to be happy and confident. We started our classes in Norfolk before the pandemic hit and when we had to stop our local office stayed in touch to reassure us that they would be back in the pool when it was safe to do so. Fast forward 12 months and we were able to restart our lessons. Our son was a little hesitant at first after such a long break, but our wonderful teacher Anna took everything at our pace and tailored the classes accordingly. I always really feel that the teachers are very attentive to the needs of each individual in our class. Our little boy soon got back in the splash of things and now absolutely loves it. Our teacher said we have to go at his pace. It is by far the highlight of our week. From social interaction with other little ones, the exercise for my little boy and for me, seeing the same friendly faces in our class each week is lovely. I couldn’t recommend highly enough! Swimming is a life skill and I am so pleased that we have been able to do these classes.

Everything I could have hoped it would be!
When I was young, not being able to swim was a significant problem for me for various reasons I won't bore you with here. So when I had children of my own, I was really interested in them learning. All four of my children have been through Water Babies, and in all cases they love it. The classes are fun, they clearly give the kids good exercise, the teachers are attentive and involved, and seeing how excited every one of my children have been about going swimming once they have been a few times is a 5-star review in itself. But most importantly of all? My 7-year-old now has his 200m badge. My 5-year-old has done over 50m. The younger two love the water already, and are progressing just as well. I didn't get my 50m badge until I was 11. So I can't recommend it enough.

Simply the Best!
Water Babies are simply the best! They are so knowledgeable and experienced, you can completely trust them with your little one. We have had a number of teachers over the years with both our children, and every one has been fabulous. Each teacher is so empathetic and caring, and they really bring out the best in each child, adapting the content of the lesson to suit everyone's needs. The office team are always on hand to sort out payments etc. Having now finished Water Babies with our eldest, I can definitely say that Water Babies offer a seriously great service. Not many other swim schools run as efficiently as them. Water Babies really are worth it!

Try local council first
I took my little one to water babies when she was 7 week old. We missed the first session in the block so started on week 2. Part of the session was to splash your baby in the face, she didn't like this and got quite upset so the instructor advised not to dunk her under water. On our second week I was told to dunk my baby and she absolutely hated it, she was heartbroken, this in turn made me upset. At the end of that class we were told that the following week we would be teaching the babies how to hold on to the side which I thought my baby was too young for. I didn't return to the classes as the thought of how upset my baby got made me so anxious. Nobody from water babies contacted me in any way. I think they're just money orientated. They do not have age restrictions on the classes and I believe this is just so they can make as much money as possible. My baby is 5 months old and now goes to swim tots at the local council baths for £2.30 a session and she loves it. Other babies in the class seemed OK but I would advise to try local council pool first to see if your baby is ready for the water then you won't have wasted all that money.

Water Babies Norfolk- loved every minute!!
We have absolutes loved our Water Babies journey. All the staff here in Norfolk have been amazing - from the office staff through to the teachers. It has helped give us lots of confidence in the pool with our daughter, we have learnt so much and most importantly she has had lots of fun! We couldn’t recommend it enough!!!

A big shout out to Waterbabies. . .and “The Wonderful Vicky!”
We started Waterbabies, Norfolk with the wonderful Vicky when my daughter was just 6 months old. She adores her swimming teacher and has gained so much confidence in the water from her lessons. As well as highlighting the safety aspects of learning to swim young, and encouraging children to support themselves in the water, the classes have taught my daughter to swim at a young age. A wide range of songs and rhymes are used to engage the children, making the sessions friendly and fun even for the very youngest of swimmers!
