Dewalt DWE 492K Angle Grinder - click and collect
The order was click and collect, with one of the items available next day. I have not collected the ordered items yet. UPDATE One of the items collected was a Dewalt DWE 492K 230mm 240volt angle grinder, which immediately tripped the breakers in my garage on the only three times that I tried to use it (I tried different mains sockets). So I took it back to Toolstation, who offered a refund or replacement without quibble. Once bitten - twice shy, I gratefully accepted the refund. Then I went home and read all of the reviews that I could find online. It transpired that I was by no means the first person to encounter this problem. Theories ranged from a very high start current (this machine does not have a soft start) to old, worn or sensitive breakers. I fell into the latter category as I had recently had new MK breakers installed. The 13 amp fuse in the plug attached to the machine did not blow. I now favour the breaker theory, allied to the poor design and specification of this Dewalt grinder. In any case, this machine could not be used in my garage, so it had to go.
