Been using this company for 30 years…

Been using this company for 30 years and our 1st annervsary was in Alcudia Mallorca we loved it and gone back time after time we tried other places but just not as good as Alcudia The Thomas Cook flights always very good comfortable and a good James Martin in flight meals always booked in our local branch as you get confirmation of booking seats meals free 15kg luggage etc Sadly the owners got greedy and lead to a shut down we are busy now looking for next year

WORST and Fake

DO NOT USE THEM!!

DO NOT USE THEM!! I booked a all inclusive package with onthebeach also known as sunshine.co.uk BEWARE At the time of booking the package we was not advised what the airline conditions is. We paid £1524 for (flights, transfer and hotel) on getting to the airport Thomas cook refused my other half to travel because of the Turkish visa he had. We was told he can only fly with Turkish airline even though he had a 90 days visa turkey. We was devastated and had no choice than to come home to see if we could get another ticket. This wasn't planned so we was pained buying another ticket. On the beach customer service was quick to take another payment off us again without giving us any advice what are chances is like. My other half went with turkish airline and we went with tui as Thomas cook couldnt find an early flight bearing in mind i was going to fly with an infant all alone.We missed 2 days out of a 7 day trip. My other half had to go on a different airline and this tore us apartment. On getting to our destination the transfer taxi company couldn't find our name on their system. We had to pay £50 from the airport to the hotel. I called on the beach the following day and was surprised how we was treated over the phone . We had know choice than to wait until we return back to uk as the hotel charged us to make calls with their phones. Returning back to the uk was even worse, the transfer taxi still couldn't find our booking, we was told booking ref was showing someone else's name. Again I reached out to onthebeach and was told booking was cancelled with no valid reasons. We had to pay another £50 to get to the airport. Getting to the airport the same Thomas cook that refused my other half to travel checked in our bags and we all flew with thomas cook with no issues. Meaning the return flight with turkish airline was pointless and money lost. Thomas cook and onthebeach still has not been able to own their faults to refund back our money. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Does TC give a damn? No!

I was ill at the airport and attended by paramedics. TC would not let me board the aircraft. Fair enough - I can understand that. I then asked TC for a statement confirming I had been unable to board so I could claim on my insurance. They will not do this. So I lose the full cost of my holiday. I have been passed from pillar to post but nobody will provide me with a simple note confirming I was ill. Unbelievable but true. Why would they do this? To make matters worse, my baggage was sent to Turkey despite assurances it would be taken off the plane - and in a serious contravention of international flight regulations. The security implications of this are very serious indeed. I am still awaiting the return of our luggage. Their customer service is lamentable. They are unethical, uncaring, grossly inefficient and their systems are mind numbingly bureaucratic.They seem to be designed to avoid contact with their customers. I certainly don't plan to use them again and suggest you don't.

worst most uncomfortable flights I have…

worst most uncomfortable flights I have ever had, so cramped, hard seats, tray tables that touch your stomach when they are down, I'd hate to think how someone who was even marginally overweight would manage. Never again.

Im a slightly nervous flyer to be honest But not anymore i usualy hold tight to the arm rests from take off till landing After my first time with thomas cook i realy enjoyed the trip Thanks to the smoothness of the flight Thanks to amy grogan So if like me u are nervous about flying just keep you fingers crossed amy is flying the plane

Poor CS, don’t respond to complaints, don’t refund when promised.

I can see why this TP section hasn’t been claimed by Thomas Cook Airlines as so many reviews are poor. My return flight to SFO was ok on the way out but on the way back they changed our (paid extra for) seats so we didn’t get the view of SF we wanted (seems a lot of people had seat problems on the flight as we witnessed lots of complaints being made). Also no tea and coffee available on a 10 hour flight - eerrrrr what???? Not even offered soft drinks for free instead. The worst bit was trying to get issues resolved back home and get a refund for the seats they didn’t supply us. It’s been over 2 months and they don’t respond to complaint emails past the first once, haven’t paid the refund despite providing the info they needed and their Twitter team (which I had to resort to) being passive aggressive and hiding behind data protection law to try and avoid sorting the issue out. Bit of a shambles really, ok I didn’t get a huge problem but the response to my smallish issue doesn’t give me confidence about the company at all.

Check your duty free sizes on board before buying

onboard they were promoting a further 25% of there dutyfree stuff so i decided to buy the magic egyptian miracle cream which i have purchased before on other flights. Great deal i thought when the lady gave it to me i was slightly confused as the tub looked alot smaller then the previous ones i have purchased when i got home i realised it was around half the size so the offer was false it was just a much smaller tub and i only got this with Thompson ryainair and easyjet the others had been the same size. Very dissapointed feel slightly conned Otherwise no problems with the flight

Dissapointed, will not use again.

1st time we've used Thomas Cook Airlines. Normally use EasyJet for our yearly family holiday. Flight was delayed by just over an hour on the way out to Cyprus. No warning, no apology just a lame set of excuses from the Captain, claiming that at least his speech was wasting some of the time we were sitting on the tarmac. Very cramped seating, I'm 6ft and had less space than on Easy Jet. Can have a meal if pre booked. Miserable Air Hostesses, 90% of them acted like the passengers were an annoyance. Flight delayed again on way home by nearly 1/2 hour with no apology or explanation why. Will NOT use again!

Do not book with Thomas cook airlines it's £200. minimum cost for one person to change a name!

Wish I had read the reviews! We have just been robbed of £550.00 to change 2 names on return flights to Mexico. We already paid £1,139.96 for the tickets. I'm stunned. We booked the trip for our daughter to celebrate her 30th birthday, she has since discovered she is pregnant and we don't want her to risk exposure to the zika virus or be so far away when she will be 6 months pregnant. So we swapped our European holiday with her and her partner. Jet 2 charged £58.00 total cost to change their flights. Thank you Jet 2 a reasonable fee. It just doesn't compare, it's extortionate. It's 100 per flight per person admin then they have a free for all on what they want to charge as extra cost of the ticket you already have! The website is a joke too, it's not easy to make a complaint. They are a disgrace. I'm so cross I have not been able to complain right away too. I'm absolutely dreading the trip and it's meant to be a holiday.

Disgraceful

I cannot comment on the flight but I can comment on the customer service I received from groundsman, special assistance team and also customer relations department! Groundsman was obnoxious and rude to myself and my husband! Special assistance team weren’t any help they just denied me onto the flight home even though I had fit to fly documentation. Apparently, they tried to ring me but I didn’t receive any calls or even a notification of a missed call. Also an email was sent which I didn’t receive as I was already checked in to the airport. Yet they didn’t deny me until last minute at the boarding gate. So I wasn’t able to rectify the problem. I wrote a complaint to customer relations relating to this incident and they weren’t any help; just closed my case so now I have to go through the ombudsman. I will never use Thomas cook airlines again!...no wonder they’re in financial trouble!

Avoid flying with Thomas Cook

Wonderful week in beautiful Skiathos. Hotel and staff great. However, flight home with Thomas Cook was awful. One and a half hour delay, even though plane was there, no explanation. Then a quick half hour refuelling turned into a two hour nightmare. Problems again not explained, sat on a boiling hot plane with no water! Horrendous journey home.

Tale of two companies

Tale of two companies. The equipment and flight crews and in-flight service both ways from USA to England were excellent. However--that's a different company and this is what's disappointing. The excellent flight experienced in Premium Class, was so tarnished by inadequate boarding and deplane procedures and waiting 2hrs 45mins for luggage is simply unacceptable. Not to mention a ground crew that directs the plane to the wrong equipment stop-line at the gate. And you know what happens next. I truly hope Leadership leads as the flight crews waited just like the passengers--for boarding and luggage.

Change on the way

Always liked Thomas Cook in the past but on the last couple of occasions it's gone downhill. Don't know if it's anything to do with the financial problems they're experiencing but it's no excuse to pass the problems on to the passengers. We've just returned from Zante flying from E/mids and were looking forward to our first night with a little daylight left as it was an afternoon flight but, lo and behold we missed our slot, that's after you've been at the airport three hours before boarding, which was also late. Coming home was worse. Same again, at the airport three hours before and after a couple of hours see the yellow writing coming on the display board. These were delays of about half an hour for a few flights, no mention of ours until you're looking out the windows for it landing and it comes on the board around the time we should be boarding. Should have left 8:35pm to land approx. 9:50pm our time. Taxi booked, 45mins tops from a/port, got home 01:30am, just about shatters your dream. Thanks Thomas Cook. Planes are becoming more economical too. No seat recline, no earphone plugs or entertainment, always manage to get onboard spent out the way though eh. Priorities!!!!!!

Hands down thee worst.

Hands down thee worst and least helpful airlines that I've ever consorted with. And that includes Spirit. Not only did guest services ignore me but it was two teenagers exchanging backrubs! I thought i was part of a candid camera gag. This airlines is beyond a joke.

Shambles.

Shambles. Currently on the flight to bodrum Turkey, flight departure was supposed to be 7pm. It's 7.28 and still no movement. Bad organisation. Plane tables are FILTHY. Crumbs and dirt inside the pull down table attached to the seat. Not sure why they hadn't bothered to clean them. Not impressed. Will avoid Thomas Cook in future.

Awful At Stansted!!!!! Beware.

Awful At Stansted. Charghbg for everything. Check dimensions of your hold case as they were charging for new cases, excess.luggage etc. Rude service with Swissport. Please check weight and dimensions of hand luggage. No wonder they are going bust, worse than Ryanair now. That says something! Oh seemed to be sane check in woman also. Jet2 helped me and they were great!

AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COSTS!!! UTTER MUPPETS. Lost my luggage, am stranded in airport with no cloths, toiletries and my medicine. What a start to a holiday I have been waiting for, for over a year. Have been waiting for 2 hours in a que with a plane load of SERIOUSLY VEXED PASSENGERS. This is utterly disgraceful Thomas Cook. AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Recently

Recently, I went to the office in Reading, UK to receive a payment sent through Moneygram. I have to wait almost an hour to be told that their system has frozen and now it will take them another hour to process. My hunch, based on my observation, is that they did not have the requisite money to pay. Such pathetic service, poor customer service.
