I placed my order online and received an email confirming it had been received and passed to the relevant restaurant. Over an hour later still no food had arrived so I rang the restaurant to be told there were no orders in the kitchen and everything had been taken by the driver to be delivered. They then checked with the driver and said it would be with me within the next few minutes. Still nothing arrived so I rang again and was told the driver was in my street and should be outside. I then went outside and no-one was there. My mobile then rang and it as the driver on foot walking down my street!! When he got to me he apologised and said he had been given the wrong door number and had been going up and down trying to find me! At no point did I get told this on the phone or did they even double check my details. I then checked my original order to make sure I had put everything correct - which I had. So nearly two hours later my food arrived - still hot which was unbelievable, but I would NOT recommend these to anyone.

Did exactly what it promised. With the list of restaurants that were offered I found an Indian restaurant I had never used before with a high user review rating. The quality of the food was excellent so the app had helped me to find what will now be my new first choice for Indian food. After I ordered someone from takeaway.com called me to let me know that the restaurant was exceptionally busy and would take 1 hour rather than the suggested 40mins that the app suggested. I was offered the opportunity to cancel which I declined. The food arrived within the hour so overall very impressed.

I placed an order at 22:56 on Monday 25th of July, for a chinese through takeaway.com to a restaurant called China Garden. I didn't know at this point takeaway.com closes their customer service at 11pm. so I receive a confirmation email saying my order has been processed and sent to restaurant - China Garden. So I call China Garden and I spoke to a guy who was really rude to me, arguing on the phone interrupting me saying he has not received my order I rang a total of 5 times to keep checking if order had came through and he hung up on me twice. I am appalled and shocked, I work in a call centre and if I spoke to my customers like he spoke to me I wouldn't have a job. I think he clearly received my order it was the end of the night and so he thought it would be better to lie to me and say he hadn't received it so he could go home early. At this stage all I'm able to do is email takeaway.com because according to the website and the email i received for urgent enquiries contact the restaurant directly. I can honestly say I am irate, I've been charged for my order, I've got no food and I've got to wait until tomorrow before getting a response, I will be reporting the website for having appealing customer service and not having any means in place to offer assistance to someone who works 11 hour shifts and wanted to order some damn food

comparing just-eat or hungryhouse, i find takeaway.com as the best as the minimum buy is less compared to the mentioned sites.

Ordered here twice. First time the food was rubbish but the service from Takeaway.com was great. Second time no food was forthcoming with just a cryptic mail coming from the site. So 50/50 performance, but, nothing that would make me order here again.

I like this site. There are fewer takeaways signed up than on certain other sites, but the prices here are cheaper and there's a higher cashback rate on sites like Topcashback.

They got much better over the last couple of months. Pizza was Delicious and smelled great

Also Takeaway gives a better payback on Quidco - would be nice if you could get more restaurants though
