The call centre staff were very helpful and obliging and came up with a solution to my query.

My trip to Australia Filling out the Application for Travel Insurance for my journey to Australia was very straight forward. Uncomplicated.

The help and conversation with the advisor was good and well explained

Apart from the price rise due to my age and infirmaty, the process was good - and I was promised a hard copy as my printer has recently failed.

I booked insurance originally for Greece last year not realising I took out an annual policy I received a renewal reminder for the policy after a year so I realised it must of been for a year. I realised though the policy didn’t cover me for Greece when this had been my only destination. I contacted staysure as I had made multiple trips since what I thought was a single trip policy paying for a separate policy with them when I visited Denmark in February. I spoke to a customer service advisor on Tuesday to advise them of this saying that if I had an annual policy why have they allowed me to purchase another one to cover me for a trip already covered and also the shock finding out tgat I have been travelling to a country on a policy that won’t have covered me. Tge agent 109% agreed with me finding this wrong with them advising me I would receive a call. I never received this. I rang 2 days later chasing this as I then recieved a notification saying my annual policy had been renewed????? What a policy that I can’t use for Greece as it advised me and I go to Greece a lot of times through the year. The agent gave me the new trick cop out in our world of technology advising me that because I used the internet they wouldn’t be able to stop me purchasing another policy and wouldn’t warn me if I had a policy still in force despite it not been valid even when I entered Greece. They made it clear that speaking to arrange the policy is separate to you going on line so there are different rules for speaking to a person than using the on line facility. Guess what somebody else is ringing me back. I have paid 12 months for a policy I can’t use and perish the thought if I’d if been ill on my trips that weren’t covered when the destination had been entered

The adviser I spoke to was very helpful, enabling me to start the policy at a later date as it was not needed right now, but still allowing me time to enjoy the existing customer discount; also adjusting the policy to current requirements. Staysure is commendably flexible!

The renewal document gave my age as 83, it is 84 and will be at the date of renewal. It has taken me 3HOURS to get this corrected. I tried on-line, then on Chat when I got the reply "not understood". I repeated this simple correction 4 times writing the change slightly differently each time, always the same reply. Then I tried phoning; the menu does not give the option to amend a policy so after several calls I opten to cancel, just to speak to someone. I did, he tried to teansfer me to renewals but failed twice. I have at last secured this amendment - which should be obvious from my date of birth anyway.

Apart from the length of time waiting for an assistant to be available I was able to have a good conversation with a very helpful person and was able to do everything I needed to.

Customer service was excellent and the lady who answered my questions relating to my renewal responded very efficiently and politely. Have been with this company for the last 5 years and very happy to continue. Would happily recommend.

I called to cancel auto renewal because I have no travel plans for the foreseeable future. I continue to get emails reminding me to renew, then I had a phone call today - caller hung up immediately when I said I had already called to cancel. Poor manners, making me less likely to use the company in future.
