What an absolute joke

What an absolute joke. I set my insurance may 2023 and they call me today to tell me after a year, that any gold in my house would not be covered by their policy. That this would be an additional payment. Wth your telling me this today, when asked why wasn't this flagged up, said it was because it was set up online. So where was that disclaimer online to tell me that? Do not waste your valuable money with these clowns. I asked for then to resend the email or letter, apparently they called me in 2023? 🤔

First time claiming SKy home insurance…

First time claiming SKy home insurance and having a complete nightmare, for an emergency fix and with a vulnerable person in the house with a window frame hanging off the wall, first called Tuesday AM, eventually got through and they hung up, told someone would be out within 24 hours, didn’t happen, called back today and no ticket had been raised, contractor came out, said he couldn’t do the job an hour ago as it needed a building assessment , now left with an unsafe wall and window in my sons bedroom which he can’t use and no further info, absolutely dreadful service, and now have my son sleeping on the couch for a 3rd night with an unsafe bedroom, would most definitely NOT advise using this company

I have taken a new car policy via 1st Central and it appears is underwritten by Skyfire. I have requested a hard copy of my policy and have still not received it. I have lodged a complaint with the broker now. I have been given an address for Heywoods Heath Uk. If I had known how bad this company and the broker 1st Central were I would never have dealt with either. I have been driving for 35 years.

Absolutely awful home insurance

Absolutely awful home insurance. I had a blocked pipe which caused my kitchen to flood (my wooden floor is now ruined) and they sent out a plumber who said the pipe is blocked and the soil pipe is faulty. He told me to call the insurance back and ask them to send a drainage company. I called the following morning at 9am and they said they had assigned someone to me. Hours passed, I called again at 11, then at 1.30 and both times they said the same thing. When I called again at 3pm, they said no one was actually coming as I’m not covered because the soil pipe is faulty. Firstly, why make me wait all day to tell me that? I took a day off of work, I had no bathroom facilities available as the waste water coming from the bath and shower was causing the flood and I have a small child. I managed to get a drainage company round the same day (and paid evening rate) who sorted the blockage in 45 minutes; he said the soil pipe didn’t cause the the actual blockage so technically I should have been covered. I’m absolutely disgusted with this insurance product and would strongly recommend others are not fooled into using them.

DO NOT use them or you will regret

Absolute joke they are. I am trying to get a new phone after my screen was damaged. 3 weeks after, they cannot even find my delivery company, tracking number, delivery date?! I am cancelling my insurance, trying to get 75quid back for phone replacement(whic on the end, never happened). I did call them 4 times and every time they gave me different answers to same questions. ZERO professionalism. Very frustrated and unhappy. That is why they are so cheap, as they will offer ZERO help. Joke

Report them to the Federal Trade…

Report them to the Federal Trade Commision if you have been scammed. Its the only way to get this company taken down. They are fradualent. Will make out they are you car insurance or that your car warranty has expired when it hasn't and you need to pay a one time fee. Then they will charge your card on different days every month and have you think its a recurring charge.

Hideous claims service

Hideous claims service. DO NOT use Sky insurance for either your home or motor insurance. Worst customer service and claims service I have ever encountered. STAY WELL CLEAR AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Poor customer service & broken promises

We have had our contents only policy since May 2023. Our separate insurance for my engagement ring is coming to an end and we wanted to get a quote to see how much it would cost to add this on to our contents. I have been astounded just how difficult it is to find any information about Sky contents insurance on their website. I am unable to make any changes or do anything with my policy online and the website is not very user friendly. I ended up sending an email of complaint to Sky about this situation. I received some communication back where Sky appeared to want to make amends and offered to call me this morning to discuss the quote, advising it would be a 10 minute phone call. Unfortunately the call never happened and this poor level of service and broken promise has only served to strengthen my opinion about their company. Luckily for us our contents insurance is due for renewal in May 2024, so we will definitely be looking elsewhere, and not sticking around with Sky due to this poor experience. If they can't get it right just with a potential amendment, I hate to see what they are like if you try to engage with them to make a claim.

How difficult can it be to lodge a claim!

Ive been trying to lodge a claim for 10 days The website, naturally, says we can email a claim but after that no reponse in 4 days Phoned a call handler who took my details. 4 days further on and still no claim started! Changing back to a reputable broker in the summer

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Had been a loyal customer with 1st Central car insurance for 2 years, rang them to renew my policy. They said part of their 'clauses' had changed meaning they were unable to offer me insurance (I have bo claims or convictions, 8 years no claims) but were unable to tell me exactly why they can't insure me again. Gave me a website address for sky fire insurance as this is underwriter of first central but could not provide a direct number. On the website the only number for sky fire insurance relates to claims. HORRIFIC customer service!! I am now left having to find a new provider with just 3 days!!!! WILL NEVER EVER USE AGAIN.

Absolutely garbage do not use sky insurance I have home insurance with sky and I took emergency cover On Sunday my roof started leaking into one of my bedrooms called sky at 10.30am they took all My details and told me someone would be in touch well by 2ish not heard anything so I called back and got put through to axa the guy called the company that’s was to come do the repair the guy told me it would be Monday morning thought right ok not great but the rain had stopped so thought could be worse only to get a call on Monday morning saying it’s going to be Tuesday or Wednesday as I live in Scotland this could be catastrophic if we have days of heavy rain my whole house could end up flooded with everything knackered told him this he says they are very busy so does an emergency not mean anything to these people this is my house my stuff do they want me to keep awake 24 hours a day emptying buckets because the insurance company are using companies that’s are to busy to deal with emergency’s this is totally unacceptable so I have now been told it will be tomorrow morning if anything changes he will let me know told him high winds and heavy rain forecast for tonight do they absolutely not I will 1 million percent not be going with this insurance company again they are absolutely garbage not worth the money sky you should be ashamed of yourselves I could be old and vulnerable and this is how you treat customers with emergency’s So right now I have very little damage because with some miracle it’s not rained again but if I do end up With a lot of damage this is 100% your fault and I will be seeking legal advice of the matter

Won’t be going with sky insurance again…

Won’t be going with sky insurance again roof started leaking on Sunday morning got emergency cover with my policy the company they are using never bothered getting untouch on Sunday called them back in the afternoon spoke to the guy that was representing the company who they assigned to come fix it told me it would be Monday first thing he called me Monday and told me it would be Tuesday or Wednesday so I called the insurance company back and told them it’s not good enough now on Sunday the rain stopped but if that rain kept going my house would of be totally flooded roofs floors walls all knackered but luckily for me not them they don’t care what happens to people house on a emergency that it hasn’t rain since miracle because I live in Scotland and just been told they are coming tomorrow morning if anything changes we will let you know well tonight high winds and heavy rain forecast does anyone reading this think this is a good service or exceptable because I don’t think it’s absolutely garbage will 1 million percent not be going any where near your insurance company again and if they don’t come tomorrow and my house ends up recked because of it I am going for legal advice on the matter Ian bell

I was involved in a car accident in…

I was involved in a car accident in September 2021 , the driver of other vehicle was responsible for accident as driving under the influence of alcohol ( Insured by Skyfire / Evolution.It is now January 2023 and I still have not had completion of this claim , even though I would consider this to be a straight forward case. You can contact me directly if you like claim number FC9733884 as I am considering contacting the financial ombudsman.I just want an end to this claim , and feel I have been unfairly treated.
