Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill".
I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland???
Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.
Really frustrating search engine
I don't want to see 'shared' houses and though I opt out not to see such properties but they come again and again. Zoopla is much better on this.

Van Mildert have been great! Sorted out the checks for my new home, and a lovely lady called Rachel rang me the other day and got me a really good deal on a sky package. People like Rachel give you the confidence to ring if ever you have any questions or queries. Lovely personality, and was really helpful with everything. If all agents on the end of the phone were as nice and helpful as Rachel, the world would be a much happier place!! Thanks alot Rachel!!
We are going through referencing at present with this company. This has got to be the poorest service I have ever received. They had 4 weeks to do their job. 3 days before move in date we enquired as heard nothing, only to find out they still needed evidence which they didn't contact us or estate agent to ask. We are meant to move in tomorrow, however, because of their incompetence we have no contract yet. The amount of stress and miscommunication and lack of contact this company has generated us is a joke. They don't move in the process if we don't call, when we call they say they can't talk due to data protection, we get reassured they will be in touch with the other end, when we realise they don't we get the other end to contact them, only to end up with a different person every time and the whole process gets lost again.

They contacted me to offer tenants insurance and also got me a great deal with Sky for my new broadband and TV.
Spoke to Emily regarding tenants insurance. Was very happy with the outcome. Was given all the necessary information and asked if I wanted extra cover for other items, but not pushed into purchasing anything I didnβt want. Very happy with the service and all the information I was given.
Had no issues getting my referencing done and spoke to Paul about insurance and he was very helpful and efficient in helping me choose the right policy. Very good customer service so far.
