Right move is set up to sell financial services (like mortgage products) and promote estate agencies that pay for additional promotion. Registration is painful, taking 5 mins to wade through their security protocols

I would give minus stars if possible. Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill". I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland??? Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.

Polite and friendly!

I spoke to a lady named Emily and she was lovely! well spoken and so helpful. Any question I asked she answered. She was extremely polite. Would 100% recommend anyone to speak to this lady. Real credit to the company x

Fantastic Customer Service

I had a rather complex scenario to be referenced. Van Mildert took the time to engage in multiple phone calls with me to understand the situation and assisted me with providing the necessary information. The company was extremely helpful and their representatives were very pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend using Van Mildert as their advisors are both professional and patient.

Spamming spamming spamming

The Lettings team I used for my new property are possibly the nicest people I’ve spoken to (Emma & Alex). However, they use this company to do credit checks and the whole experience changed from floating on clouds to tension and annoyance. The rude and condescending woman I spoke with was only the start of the problem. I’m now getting a daily email from them asking me to buy more services. 1. I did not give them permission to contact me with Marketing 2. One update on my application success is quite enough. 3. They do not offer a facility to unsubscribe 4. They do not action your request for a right of deletion and instead continue with 1 and 2. Would not recommend

No option to include a pet.

Good idea but sadly lacking in options/filters. You struggle to put in your own filters, for example I couldn't include a pet. So totally useless for me.

The lovely ladies I’ve spoken to on the…

The lovely ladies I’ve spoken to on the main phone line and in the insurance department couldn’t have been more friendly, reassuring and efficient. However my interaction with an individual in the referencing department wasn’t the best, with little communicating or updates throughout the process. Which also seemed to be inefficient in requesting for individual pieces of information each day over the course of weeks, rather than a breakdown of everything that is needed from you in one go at the beginning. When I contacted to chase up or query things she was quite blunt and unfriendly. Luckily my interaction with other staff, particularly a lady on reception and Emily Kinnear have completely won me over and allowed me to look past any other issues. Staff training and better procedures definitely sound like they could be put in place, especially after reading others frustrations with the referencing department!

First Class Referencing Service from Van Mildert

I found Van Mildert to be a very professional company that carried out their referencing checks quickly and efficiently. I spoke directly with a very helpful man called Charlie Donnelly on three occasions who dealt with the queries straight away so the whole process only took 3 days to a very satisfactory completion.
