Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill".
I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland???
Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.
Very strange referencing agency.
Provided an offer of £8,400+ Deposit to rent a tenancy (6 Months upfront) while looking to buy my own and received an email back advising they refused me for tenancy due to being unable to provide evidence of income. This was on the back of me explaining that I had a new bank account however, I did provide them proof of my company profit/loss and they could see what I earned/profited.
In summary they required me to verify my income despite me offering the entire 6 months tenancy upfront along with security deposit (sure this is probably rare). Common sense by real people is seriously lacking here.
Finally, I actually also had already emailed Aberdeen Considine the evening before explaining I wanted my deposit back prior to RightMove emailing me about there decision due to how long the process was taking also. Viewed on 10th, offered entire 6 months upfront with security deposit etc on the 10th also and didn’t hear a thing from RM until 19th August despite me putting down my Move in Date as preferably the 13th.
I can never quite get my head around why people take so long to make decisions, make the decision and get on with it the processes are lengthy. We have decided that we won’t be using any rental agency that use this company for our own properties in the future. Just lost a landlord over £8,000+ and a very reliable tenant.

I keep getting notifications NOT RELEVANT to my searches my top price is £600000 but get houses at 750000 ? also over a MILLION !! want ONLY bungalows but sent houses as well ???

The referencing section - Denied a member of our staff on a ridiculous technicality when clearly his income was visibly more than enough for the rental. I have no idea if some of the members at the other end can decipher the facts in front of them. This situation has caused great stress and pressure on the person in question. The market is difficult out there already without additional complications piled on young people.
My enquiry was sorted quickly and can I say what a excellent customer service you have at right move, Maddie, Daniella and Stephanie were exceptional and put my mind at rest, can’t thank them enough

Spent 2 and a half hours on hold waiting to discuss a property to go and view, was ‘first in line’ for 40 mins and got absolutely nowhere.
How are you meant to book a viewing or organise anything with this company if it takes 2.5 hours to get through? Called on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm, didn’t think they would be closed, and if they are they should shut off the phone line to save people wasting their time.
Very poor customer service, 2 and a half hours is not acceptable.
