Excellent, efficient and friendly service

Excellent service from the new build team. Friendly staff were always available on the phone to give updates and the service was smooth and efficient from start to finish - we had no issues to speak of, so a big thank you to the team for doing their part to minimise the stress around an otherwise quite stressful period! The only slight improvement would be for the online tracker to be updated a little more quickly/accurately, but overall a 5* service; the team always gave reliable updates when called and email updates were also good. Highly recommended.

Terrible Service

The worst solicitors I have ever had to deal with. I have had so many issues from the start: They downloaded the wrong property deeds. They said they didn't get documents which were emailed to them multiple times by the lender. They struggled with fundamental things such as saying that only one person is listed on the property deeds when it clearly stated three. Phones aren't answered. Promised phone calls back don't happen. I'm still waiting for a full response to one email from three weeks ago despite chasing. One person you speak to says one thing, and the other says something different. Despite telling them how time critical the case many actions on happened when I chased or a complaint was made. I had to follow their complaints procedure twice just to get the case handler to complete certain actions.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! BEWARE OF REMORTGAGE TEAM 1. The most stressful and disappointing service I have ever had. AVOID this company at all costs. They have made me ill with stress. We are using them for a remortgage which was due to complete around 7th January due to fixed rate ending. We are now on 22nd January and have still not completed which is costing us a lot due to higher interest rates once a fixed rate ends. Communication has been non existent. I am having to contact them daily for updates as they never contact me. They have lied about where they are up to with processes and have basically just not been doing their job. I can't explain how terrible this service has been. I feel like I have been chasing this around and contacting the relevant people more than they have, what kind of service is that? Absolutely shockingly terrible.

Exchange of Contracts

I am extremely pleased with the service offered by PLS Solicitors, specifically Megan Ferendenus-Reynolds Team. They were responsive via both emails or calls, promptly addressing any inquiries I had. If there was any aspect I was unsure about, they explained everything thoroughly, ensuring a seamless process, as I am a first-time buyer. I wholeheartedly recommend these solicitors and intend to utilize their services in the future.

Look I had a really challenging… sale/purchase

Look I had a really challenging sale/purchase it went on and on. Typical property market shenanigins of buyers pulling out. I had a pretty poor mortgage advisor to top it off. Lets just say it was not an easy job for PLS. However they were excellent, my main contact was a young lady in the new build team, and she was just outstanding (L you know who you are). On top of an exellent Team, Thank you Thomas. I felt I got excellent & fair service, I just have to recommend them. They did not take advantage of my situation and when the push came to get the contract out (3rd time) they were on top of it. Still waiting for the landing registery documents, thanks Gov.uk. So far, highly highly recommended.

Avoid! Land registry application not submitted 4.5years after purchase

We used PLS to purchase a property in June 19, they have not completed the services we paid for as they have not submitted an application to the land registry. We raised this to them early Dec 23 when we found out as we are trying to sell. They have still not submitted the application, ignored our requests to escalate with the developers solicitors and raising formal complaints seems pointless as apart from being sent a PDF of the process (which mirrors what we already found on the website) we have had no contact from a Manager or Director. We are at risk of losing our sale and are at our wits end. Avoid.

Brilliant service from remortgage team, but new build team needs some improvement

It was brilliant service and care from remortgage team 1 (specifically from Simran) for my remortgage of existing home and manage deposit funds for new home. Honestly, it was not looking promising to do completion on time for new build and remortgage of existing home because of delays from mortage lenders and valuation people, But Simran and her team made it all possible within 2 and half days after mortage offer was out. Saved me from developer's constant notice of breach of contract for new build completion. For new build team, I would say they lack in form of communication, I had to explain them same things multiple time, also not proactive approach from them compared to remortgage team. Didn't informed me about even completion done so that I can get in touch with developer for keys of new home. It was remortgage team who informed me about both completion.

Your not their client, the developers is.

Used them on recommendation of Bellway homes, but I found most of the time they were representing Bellway not me. It was near impossible to speak to the solicitor and coms ended up in long email threads with often different people replying. Any questions I asked I was referred back to their docs on the portal, and at one point I was told ‘just sign it’ when questioning a boundary title document. Just before completion I had an issue with the build quality but they didn’t want to confront my builders solicitors, I’m now still trying to resolve this 6+ months later. The icing on the cake was they sneaked in three extra charges that weren’t on the original quote, these were: Anti Fraud Fee £80+vat; Maintaining Archive Fee £40+vat; Activation of New Build Warranty £95+vat- warranty.
