They are completely useless

They are completely useless, not to mention rude and uncaring. We starting renting a house with them on a short term contract which we were perfectly happy to do, and had their assurance that they would help us find a place after the tenancy was up. We get a few months into out contract and they find us another house and assure us that our deposit can be carried over as expecting £2k from a young couple trying to rent is absolutely absurd. Anyways, a month later I had surgery and lose a large portion of my pay because of this meaning that even though we could have afforded the deposit and advance rent before, we absolutely can not now. And on top of that, they insisted that we started a contract on the new house that they picked up with a 2 month over lap so they want us to be paying double rent for 2 months as well. We explain the situation to them as obviously I didn't ask to need surgery and we have a few months until out tenancy is up and their offer is, pay it in smaller chunks but it still has to be paid by the same time, and not only that but they also want the deposit it can't be transferred and apparently they never said it could. So I had to ask for a loan from my dad who has just retired and can't really afford that type of loan to not end up homeless thanks to this agency. But it doesn't stop there. They then demanded we have viewings while I was still bed bound, and spring those viewings, a prospective buyer claimed we had a dog (we don't, we have a small white cat that the landlord approved and we paid pet rent for) and that the property was ruined because of this dog and they wouldn't be able to pay the full asking price. Suddenly out of nowhere the new house pulled out and knightsbridge ignored our asking ro find us a new one. They didn't do an inspection or double check these claims, nothing. They then sent a section 21 for the day after our tenancy ended and tried to act like that was normal moving our procedure. We realised just how shady they were at that point and insisted on cash for keys and got the hell out. If you're thinking of going with them remember my experience and don't. Unless you want to end up homeless.

We had a very positive experience with…

We had a very positive experience with Knightsbridge, from viewing our purchase property to our purchase. The Knightsbridge in Wigston, Leicestershire, kept us informed and were extremely helpful. This was quite difficult as we were a part of a chain. The team at the Wigston branch were knowledgeable about what was happening and what needed to happen as well as at the end when we were exchanging. They provided an excellent service and I thank them for their commitment and diligence.

A very unreliable agency

A very unreliable agency! They ask to provide all the data through the application, after which they promise to inspect the house for rent, and at the last moment they cancel the viewing .. When you fully rely on them and in the end they throw you without a conscience! It seems that they absolutely do not care about people!

The most unprofessional and discriminatory letting agency I dealt with

The most unprofessional letting agency and with incredibly rude people to talk to. THEY ASK FOR REFERENCES TO BOOK A VIEWING ONLY. Even though you don't know whether you will go ahead with the renting or not. And the application form talks about a pending move and not to book a viewing. From my impression, my own opinion based on my experience, they are trying to discriminate against people with the excuse of following Covid-19 government advice JUST A FEW DAYS BEFORE TO REOPEN INDOOR HOSPITALITY!!!!! THIS IS ABSURD! Unprofessional policies and rude staff!

Over promised and under delivered.

TLDR: Over promised and under delivered. We decided to put our house on the market nearly six months ago after feeling reassured by Aaron and his valuation. Aaron mentioned that this standard of property in the area we live in was extremely likely to sell quickly. Given that both mine and my partner’s work schedules are demanding, this is precisely what we wanted to do as the ONLY reason we wanted to sell was because we were very interested in another property being sold by Knightsbridge. Aaron recommended that in order to sell quickly, we should drop our asking price slightly and suggested we opt for their more premium listing as this would give us a boost with more comprehensive marketing in their newsletters etc. Based on the confidence he gave us, we recommended Knightsbridge to someone else we know who wanted to sell their property. For the first couple of weeks we were comfortable with our listing and the regular updates, our only issue was that no one person seemed to be assigned to ‘manage our account’ and we did have some issues with communication. Sometimes we had several people contact us about the same thing, or when we contacted Knightsbridge, our messages weren’t always relayed. We put this down to the fact that they were extremely busy because of the demand during lockdown, so could give them the benefit of the doubt. Initially there was some interest in viewings, but that was because we were a new listing on rightmove and not to do with the fact that we ever featured in their newsletter or additional marketing - as this has still never happened. Although when Jessica became our primary contact things did become a bit more organised, it took repeated attempts from my partner and myself to get Knightsbridge to understand that they should contact me instead of my partner during working hours. We’ve also run into a lot of confusion due to conflicting messages from multiple people, viewing appointments and updates in the months since. We’ve had many instances where we’ve been contacted by different people at Knightsbridge to book a couple of viewings in and it transpires it’s the same person they’re trying to book. We feel that their internal communication isn’t great and there’s a general lack a lot of clarity on what’s actually going on. The view of the person we’d recommended Knightsbridge to after Aaron’s valuation also expressed the same concerns saying that “there’s too many of them working there and they either don’t speak to one another or aren’t interested in selling my property”. Given that it took 6 weeks for this person to have a For Sale sign put up, both of those statments may be correct. Despite this, my concern is how frequently they misstated what we had discussed with them. After rejecting offers from someone who’d wanted our furniture as part of the deal and was offering 20% less than the (already lowered on Aaron’s advice) asking price, we stated that we had no intention of leaving anything as “it would cost a significant amount to replace it, and some of it is inherited and holds sentimental value”. Later down the line once we were in the process of selling to someone else and the deal fell through, we were told that our vendor asked why we didn’t accept the other lower offer and Knightsbridge explained that ‘we were sentimentally attached to our property’. I was also told that out of our property and our vendor’s property, we were more likely to sell, but yet it is frequently implied in various ways that it was our fault our property hadn’t sold, even regarding the very low offer mentioned above, the attitude from Knightsbridge was to just accept what was an unreasonable offer and a bad deal. Both my partner and I had spoken with Jessica and other people at Knightsbridge regarding what the lowest offer we would reasonably sell for, whilst taking into account monthly repayments on the property we’d been accepted for, without having to live beyond our means. I’m of the opinion that for us as their clients, they were happy to disregard financial responsibility in favour of a quick sale - any sale. What was a great sales pitch has completely failed to deliver on all of the benefits it offered. They aren’t interested in marketing it or doing anything to generate more interest beyond the initial couple of weeks. Nearly 6 months later our property isn’t sold, our vendor’s property still isn’t sold, and my referral’s property hasn’t sold. I think it says it all.

One word. Avoid!

At the beginning they were the perfect estate agents...keeping us updated, on the market especially Gemma and Jake both were exceptional but as you progress you don't hear from them, it gets passed onto a sales progressor, in our case Sam.... as things progressed we noticed the way they were playing all of us the 'most annoying' for example (one that cost us)...they misadvertised property to include x,y,z but did not include it, something which came to light later with solicitors and i then raised with the Sam and also the manager Glen. but all he had to say to their wrongful and misleading Advert was either we buy or not...with the audacity to say he will support us fully!! this comes months into the sale when we have already put money towards solicitors, searches, surveys etc.. ...after this they never called us despite us selling a house with them ...still not heard from them.. there were other games played which we managed to resolve with vendors/buyers since we had contact with them...despite all their lies and dirty games im suprised i did not flip at them... use their pre-sales; it's really good, but only progress if you want a big hole in your pocket and a bad after taste.. there are better more honest agents out there and much cheaper also.... also a good idea to get contact numbers of people you are buying/selling to this prevents fall outs and to get things completed sooner.. I know we did!
