JustCancel - Charges for necessary features.

Continually remove features and charge you to replace them. Access to the CPanel is extremely limited and the uptime sits at a mere 97% with gaps of a few hours, while they tell you that its the uploaded code, not the server.

The worst hosting provider I have ever come across

Had a domain and website hosted by justhost for a customer we took on and have been trying to transfer the domain out for over a month with no progress. Was finally given an email address to log a formal complaint and the email bounced back as undeliverable as the route isn't available through Google Mail. Having to report to Nominet now for them to take action against Justhost. Personally wouldn't use them or recommend them for any services.

Awful company to deal with

Awful company to deal with. Used to keep backups as standard, and have now started charging it as an extra service without informing customers. 0845 support number is a premium rate number and I got charged £12 for a 27 minute call (most of the 27 minutes was spent on hold). Unhelpful staff with poor attitude.

15 years of being a customer, just cancelled!

15 years of being a customer isn't a big enough incentive to provide decent support after they killed 3 of my domains lol. 3 phone calls and multiple emails and still down. Cancelled my account for obvious reasons. Host anywhere else...

Lost Domain Name & Charged for it !

A couple of years ago I set up a website for a non-technical friend using a Domain Name and Hosting service provided by Just Host. Both domain name and hosing service were on a direct debit contract. During November 2018 my friend called me to tell me that his domain name / site was a dress shop. I contacted Just Host after a month and some investigation by me admitted that they had lost the domain name see message below: "Thank you for reaching out to our Domain Administration Team. Unfortunately, your domain greatgums.co.uk failed to renew due to a technical glitch. We apologize for the inconvenience. Our Domain Administration Team is trying to recover the domain from the new registrant, however, please understand that process can take some time. We will provide you with updates as we attempt to contact the new registrant, but we cannot guarantee the recovery of the domain. As a gesture of goodwill, we can register a similar domain such as greatgumsperiodontics.co.uk at no cost to you now, and offer 12 months of complimentary hosting. Again, we are truly sorry for any inconvenience. Joseph Domains Specialist Justhost.com " Since this message there was a commitment to provide a free years hosting and domain name but not to edit the website, compensate for the production of new stationary or to signage that carried the GreatGums URL. Clarification was asked for and December 2018 was the last time Just Host was heard from, with the exception of an attempt to draw down on the direct debit hosting fees for a site that cant be viewed ! I am now registering a new DomainName and uploading my site to a new HOST which will be just as far as possible from Just Host and any EIG company !

I was with just host for 7 years… it almost killed me

I was with just host for 7 years running 5 different websites 2 of which are very successful. Until just host decided they were unable to make simple settings to make a site run smoothly without suggesting a method that would cost you money. I’m quite happy to pay to begin with which I did. But through the years I learnt to fix my sites. I had every malware defence known to man, optimised my sites daily, images. The lot I did everything. When I denied their help £160+ for a second time to fix my frequent problems I immediately found 100 more problems. They created these. It took me a long time to realise they are creating problems to draw money out of a desperate person who’s spent many day, hours, years creating a business and website. They have you by the balls. I moved to 3 different hosts. A unnamed host I joined . I’ve never had a problem since. They compile your tickets and problems and it’s fixed within minutes. Actually there has never been a serious problem. I can’t belive I wasted all these years with justhost. The stress and down time until you pay them to keep you going is criminal and only real after the comments you read after what I’ve been through. Do not bother. Do not go here. It could be your funeral. Almost mine

Terrible service. Difficult leaving. Do not use them!

After cancelling my domain service I was still charged for the SiteLock security addon (Why is this not automatic? Why do I need Sitelock if I do not have a website?). This could have been a simple mistake, so I used their Live Chat service to discuss the issue, received a refund, and had the addon cancelled. Everything seemed fine. THE VERY NEXT DAY I receive another invoice for the same thing! Again, I contacted them, had it cancelled and refunded. The customer service worker was apologetic but guess what ... The next day it happens AGAIN!!! How many times do I have to cancel something before their customer services actually do as I ask?! I've noticed other reviews below are mentioning the same thing. I've even logged back into my account to see where the options are for me to manually cancel it myself but there doesn't seem to be anything! I'll be contacting my bank to block this company directly. Ridiculous.

JustHost was once a great web hosting company, not so much now...

JustHost was once a great web hosting provider but since becoming part of the Endurance Hosting Group all they will do is tell you what they don't support so they can upsell you their products, which are not fit for purpose in most cases such as SiteLock (an ineffective malware tool). Customer support is always available but 9 times out of 10, the agent will be 1st line and not know what to do and have to escalate the ticket, and you may or may not get a reply. Stay away and go with an independent host.

They removed my website off of their…

They removed my website off of their server after 5 years. I had been paying on auto pay and about 1 year ago they told me I had malware and they took it off line. I had put the project on hold until I could find someone to work with me on it - so I never looked at the site when it was where - ever infected sites go. But I continued to auto pay for over 1 year. I finally found someone to work with me and it showed suspended account. When I called they said they had written me in June that my auto pay did not go through (due to fraud on my account) and I had 30 days to pay. I never got the email. So they removed it from the server. Who does that? Thousands of dollars of work on it - and hundreds of dollars to them and only one email before they wipe it out? Why would they not keep something that has been there for 5 years on their server. I trusted them with my idea - my work in progress - and they said well, you can pay us and start over. Really?! That's it? You can't hold on to it for 6 months with reminders? I am more than upset. I sent several emails with no response - and asked to talk to a supervisor to vent my frustration and was put on hold and finally hung up. DON"T USE THEM!

The support chat people only waste your…

The support chat people only waste your time. I have months with my page suspended because Justhost says there is malware. I have had several chat sessions and deleted files (in one session even they gave incorrect instructions about how to delete a certain folder, I lost about 1 hour until I figured out how to do it) and at last, I requested the page is reinitiated from zero. I am disposed to begin again, they said page will be ready, but it was another lie.

TERRIBLE! - You have let me down.

I first joined JustHost in 2010 and their server was amazing. Over the years, it has been steadily going downhill and I have to admit that I can’t take it anymore.. As a freelance graphic designer, I build and host some of my clients sites. Over the last year alone, I have lost 3 sites (completely), even the back-ups were affected. Although they have their WordPress Tools panel, it hardly works and as if by magic, every time i try to access the WP tools and update or service the sites, I can’t do it and guess what? My hosting account has been hacked (once again!!!!!) I have contacted their tech support countless times and wasted so many hours (UNPAID!!) just hanging there whilst they try to ‘fix’ the issues. One time, they even managed to totally wipe all my data!… Obviously washed their hands off it. The latest: I tried once again to access the WP tools to update my sites as I have been notified about some plug-in updates, Guess what?… the WP tools access is not responding and the following day, my account has been hacked as if by magic… I contact tech support right away and its always the same story: We have blocked your account because you have malware. Well guess what? I know and I have been trying to fix this BEFORE getting hacked (this is why you get updates by the way, to stay on top) The best bit: We can fix this for you for $50 per site per month!… but don’t worry, we’ll give you a discount for multi-sites….(oh, did I forget to say that this service is usually $70?) Guess what?! Forget about your multisite discount, forget about your crappy tech support. Enough is enough, is this how you look after loyal customers?? You have failed me MANY times over the last 3 or 4 years and I stayed with you, giving you the benefit of the doubt but this has now severely affected my business and I can’t take it anymore.  JustHost, you were good, once; but now, you are just dreadful. You have just lost a faithful customer.

Unacceptable business practise

Our company pays a 3 year, upfront subscription. This year, the money was taken off my account without any prior notice from Just Host. Furthermore, the description of the transaction did not have Just Hosts name. Obviously I assumed this to be a fraudulent transaction, and instructed my bank to return it. My card was also cancelled for protection, and a new one was issued. Just Host shut down my website: The online chat assistant was uninformed, rude and unhelpful. I had to phone Just Host in the USA to sort this out. Service was re-instated but it took £60 worth of phone calls, a penalty charge by them and an enormous amount of aggravation. I find it utterly unacceptable, that Just Host did not send me an invoice for the due amount, and notify me that it was to be taken off our account. This is not a monthly bill, but a 3 yearly bill. .

Shoddy from start to finish. Waste of money

Rendered my multiple domains useless for months. Refused to give me useable instructions to remove "malware". Refused to allow domain forwarding. Offered zero solutions. Poor customer service. Not worth the money. Refuses to deal with complaints or give refunds. Use only if you want to throw your money away.

The Hosting is fine, with a lot of notes, but really unlimited !

The Hosting is fine. And it's really unlimited !! What I mean fine is that the hosting is give's you slow connection (The servers not have proxy worldwide). The Panel they build is Face lift of Cpanel, that work very bad and not nice. I had some issues in FTP connection, after a lot of support that feel like talking with robot I got solution. Some times I got forward to BlueHost hosting, so I think it's small company that sold to them and now are just running. I wan't renew my account next time.

Very angry with them

Very angry with them. My domain was set to auto-renew, and everything seemed to go through fine (including payment). My dashboard said all was well and the next renewal is a year away, but in actual fact it didn't renew at all. My domain is now expired, my website down and my emails / google apps completely inaccessible, and I only found out because I was notified by nominet (the .co.uk registry). I have clients and customers that cannot contact me or access valuable information. I contacted justhost support and was told they'd sort it and I'd receive an email shortly. 10 days later I contact them again and same story. In 10 days my domain becomes available for others to buy and I could lose it forever. Absolutely fuming. I had already moved hosting elsewhere as I was getting constant "site inaccessible" notifications from jetpack. I didn't think they could mess anything else up so badly. Completely unacceptable
