Joined in 2011 after JustHost was reviewed in the Green Guide in The Age. No problems until 01/10/2020. I received an email stating that...since my website, poveyphotos.com, was not created using Justhost new Site Builder tool, I, (not Justhost), would have to update my site. It is a sports site with 132,301 images of cricket, football & family photos. This would require me to resize each photo, watermark it and upload it again. Why is this my problem as they have created it?
This is the worse hosting company ever. I would not recommend then even to my worst enemy. When you have a crisis and need support, the so called chat agents keep telling you about experts that are escalating GOD knows what. The client never reaches the top. Its as though they hope you will eventually give up on contacting them. I had a serious crisis and was taken on the escalation note to days. Their 24-48hrs period is now into the 5th day with no word from them.
A cheating weh host, get the registration, but can not editing my paper, and charge a lot of money for auto-renew without permit.

This is worst hosting providing service in the world, they open 100s of tickets saying wait for one day 2 days, no any single solution of problems which are technically their hosting issues. BAD BAD SERVICE
Tech support has a 98% fail rate over the last 7+ years on my account. It's there, (live chat only, despite a GUARANTEE of local phone support here) but is toothless and inept. You WILL eventually read the phrase 'I will refer this to our Admins'.... this means 'Goodbye'. I'm waiting to hear from 'Admins' on about 6 separate issues this year alone. It's July. The first went in early January. Don't ever expect a response, an 'i' to be dotted or a 't' crossed. Redefines 'sloppy'. Lousy to a point where it WILL damage your business. (And sanity.)
Stay away! Do not waste your time. Hotmail and Outlook emails bounce back over and over without solution to be had. Have spent HOURS chatting with Justhost Techs – different reason each time and proposed solutions/reasons ludicrous and inconsistent. Some are out and out mumbo jumbo They ask a lot of questions, your spend hours providing the information only to realize no change. Does not matter who you are emailing, they can have you as a contact, you can respond to their email and it bounces back. Wish we had never invested the time and money switching to Justhost. Should be Justlost.
Just host is a scam, don’t give them your credit card information!!! We had a website with a different company a decade ago, just host recently took over that company and started all the old accounts back up and charged our credit card over $800! Now they want us to send an email to ask to close the account before we can get any money back. NO, the account was already closed ten years ago!
Justhost is the worst Registrar we ever encountered. I believe that majority of negative reviews against them are real. People who rated them two stars are way too lenient. Support chat is removed without resolving issue and no re-initiation of a chat. You will definitely have to explain your concern again. Never use their Domain Registrar Service, you will not be in control of your Domain as Justhost fails to provide even basic tools for this. We have disabled GDPR masking in order to deliberately expose our data. So far many weeks have passed, support tickets created, they do not react in any way beyond advising you to use their tools on your dashboard over and over again. The tools that affect your Domain only on the dashboard. After weeks of struggles to make our data visible on Whois, we finally decided to start moving our Domains to another Registrar. And discovered that feature Unlock Domain Transfer doesn't work too. Patiently waiting concept has prooven itself useless. Fact is, domain got unlocked only after we have shown our teeth to their support and the ticket got finally escalated to technical team member who unlocked the domain. And we were finally able to submit a Transfer Application. Registrar-receptor advised it can take upto 10 days dependent on, unfortunately, Justhost. More than a half of this time passed, so far Justhost failed to release the Domain. The most rubbish about Justhost is that you are paying for a Domain and you can not utilise your own right to even to publish your data, not saying about a basic feature to transfer your domain name to another Registrar. I consider this not being different as if the bank refused to release the funds you deposited. So I marked them as a SCAM, which I believe Justhost deserves. If I could rate them ZERO START I would. I rest my case and thank everybody for reading.
The worst company you could possibly choose to host your valuable website and emails. There is no email backup provided past 3 weeks! My index folder was deleted and the emails are stored inside this! A very poor configuration and poor backup service and the price for hosting just goes up every year! Stay away... 1-2-3reg are much better
Renewed a domain that has not been active since 2015 when the account was closed. No response to WebChat. Would score 0 stars if I could!
The hosting plans are ok, but they will not cancel your account and keep charging you. This is how they get you: you can cancel you domain but your account is still active, and the charges keep on coming. I canceled my AmEx last year, after 17 years of having the card, and just yesterday, I got an email for another renewal charge This is after I specifically told the customer service last year that I want this cancelled and they assured me that it would be. Scammers.
They hadn't supplied me with any hosting or domain for nearly 2 years but then decided to withdraw £435 out of my palpal/bank account for a service they didn't provide and a domain renewal they don't own. Took all my shopping money and available funds and my husband has been furloughed due to the covid-19 virus and I have 2 children still at home. Took food out of my kids mouths.. I'm trying to get money back through paypal AVOID!!!!!
TERRIBLE I WAS A BLUEHOST CUSTOMER, AND THAT COMPANY WAS ACQ BY JUSTHOST SOMETIME BACK CLOSED MY ACCOUNT 3 YEARS BACK. CARD DELETED. ACCOUNT CLOSED. BUT JUSTHOST DEBITTED MONEY AND DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY FOR 7 LONG WEEKS. TOTAL MONEY DEBITED $1000, I WAS ONLY REFUNDED PART OF THE MONEY. JUSTHOST SAYING IT'S PENALTY FEES + TRANSFER CHARGES + EXCHANGE RATES. REAL BAD EXPERIENCE OF HAVING THE HASSLE OF RUNNING PILLAR TO POST ON THE FALSE CHARGES. I DID NOT HAVE ANY ACCOUNT WITH JUSTHOST. SHAME ON JUSTHOST FOR ALL THOSE AUTO DEBITS AND GIVING ME MENTAL PAIN.
I hate them with all my heart. I have tried to contact them maybe 100 times in the last 3 months and they have never been able to solve the issue. In the beginning my site was infected from malware, I asked them what to do and they sent me a file containing the list of infected files, but, following their instructions, I deleted not only the malware but also some website's files. After this I asked him for a backup folder, they first send me a wrong folder from another site, then send me the right one. Afterwards they tell me to clean the files of the folder and to reload it and that if I wanted to do this I had to pay $ 400 to have the files in place. I decided not to pay them so they proposed to refund me this amount. In the follow chat another guy said that this was impossible. So then I fixed the files, cleaned them and uploaded them to my account. They give me a phone number to call them and they charged me the call on my account. After this I asked again for explanations and after many open tickets, which they decided to close automatically without solving the problem, today in chat they said "yes, now I will help you" and afterwards they closed the chat (this is happened 3 times just today). Today in my website still persists the issue. NEVER buy from JUST HOST.
I have been with JustHost for nearly 10 years now. Following my perusal of this site and others, and seeing the avalanche of bad reviews for them, I was all ready to transfer my domains to a new host, as I needed free SSL certificates. Before doing so, I had one last check with JustHost. I am so glad I did! I have just had over 1 hour of help from one of their call advisers, in which he set up free SSL for me for two of my sites and sorted out some tricky problems. Definitely staying put now.
The are trying to scam me since last year! I buy a site + domain + 2bussiness mails a few years ago, that I buy online on manual mode, The site never worked and never went online, the dashboard was morstly block than working I requested help almost every month for this, the 2 bus emails where hacked and later blocked. The are trying me to pay renewal that I didn't approved that never would with this... and they try to get to my through a fake line and were bounce, now after 1 year they fake the contract and claim that I approved renewal! Be careful with this hosters, they are dangerous, bad service, comercally uncapable, economicaly really dangerous.
JustHost is an example of a good company being taken down by bad support. I have been dealing with JustHost since 2009. Here is what I can say... their shared service, used in combination with Cloudflare, does create a very fast website, even if it is large and with significant traffic. However, if you run into a problem, you are just out of luck. The phone (tier-1) tech support is fine but typically can't help with real issues. The problem comes when your support ticket is pushed to tier-2, which will only communicate via email and only after they make contact first. They are supposed to communicate within 24 hours... they don't. Then, their initial contact is typically a way to push the issue off their desk... they will try to blame anything.... a vague/generic reference to plugins or Cloudflare, or will even claim they don't see a problem and that website is working fine when it is clearly not. When you respond, they will take another 48-72 hours to respond again, and will again come up with another vague idea why the site is having an issue... again to push it off their desk so they don't have to do any actual work... or you will sometimes even find the support ticket closed while the issue remains unresolved. Up until recently, I have been willing to live with this. Up until the last year, I was willing to deal with bad tech support maybe once a year because the issues would eventually get fixed. I chalked it up to something I would have to deal with for a good price. However, over the last year, every 3 months or so, I have database communication issues. They don't look into it, refuse to look into it, or respond that a communication issue does not exist... which, the way they operate, I don't trust they even checked. After a week or more, the database communication issue will magically fix itself and the website is back to working just fine. So, it is never the reason they try to blame. Wait 3 months, and repeat. After all these years, I think I have finally reached my limit. My current term ends in about a year. At this point, I just don't see myself renewing unless there is a drastic change.
