Have used Justhost for over 30 years…

Have used Justhost for over 30 years for my business and have never had an issue. After 42 years in the landscape industry I retired and worked with a rep just this morning to take down my website. This rep was very kind, considerate and knowledgeable with great communication skills. Not sure what some of the other issues others have had are, but I have no complaints about this service.

Justhost support is a disaster

A terrible service provider. Stay away from it. Their service is so bad that they have to shield themselve off completely. Support by email is not possible and their friendly 24/7 chat support is just a stupid computer. Impossible to reach someone.

Imo, just host is a fraudulent company. I would advise picking someone else.

Imo, this is one of the worst fraudulent companies I’ve ever dealt with. A few years ago I tried to cancel my account with an online chat rep. I thought we were done. A year later a Chinese adult site took over the domain and they were still charging my account. I argued with the guy and he said they couldn’t refund but he could cancel the account. I was really mad. A year later they charged me again!! My bank literally blocked my account on PayPal. They gave me the same speech. I would never in a million years touch this company. They are corrupt beyond measure. Any reputable business would do basic check into this and refund the money. Just Host is a bad internet hosting company.

Very Shady Company

I've unfortunately been with Justhost for many years. They nickel and dime you every opportunity they get.....especially with renewals. I have a very simple website with one main domain and a parked domain linking to the same website. When I go to renew online, you will get one price that is half the price they quote you over the phone. Every sales rep you speak with over the phone will quote you a different price. Very shady business practices. They do this because they know that it is a pain in the butt to switch your domain to another provider. While their actual web hosting is mediocre (average outages and performance in comparison to other providers), I don't trust people that lie to me about services. Just offer an honest and consistent price without the unethical runarounds.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. My web domain was set to manual renewal which means it should not be renewed until I actively choose to renew. Its current period of payment was through to July 2023. JustHost unilaterally renewed it at an inflated annual cost, without my authorization. They had used my credit card details from a previous transaction. I had to take up the matter with VISA as a disputed transaction. This is a try-on by JustHost - a money grab. Their online chat is never responded to, you cannot get telephone contact details as their contact page comes up with a "cloudflare" error. VISA says I have to give JustHost 15 days to respond to the disputed transaction claim. I have now put a block on my credit card for this company to repvent them trying to take any further monies. Hopefully VISA will refund me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Very disappointed with customer…

Very disappointed with customer service. I haven't used their services for over 2 years and they have been charging my credit card for services. I realized February 8th that they had charged me for another year on January 12th. I called and asked for a refund and they would not give it to me. Their solution was to charge me for the month of January and then refund the rest to me. Very poor customer service especially when they could plainly see that I haven't used their services to host my website for at least 2 years.

Is this what passes for hosting these days?

DNS has a DKIM error, but it can't be fixed automatically, because apparently, JustHost don't manage the DNS, and I should.... "Contact the person responsible for the “ns1.justhost.com” and “ns2.justhost.com” nameservers".... So... who could possibly be repsonsible for those nameservers? Those justhost.com nameservers... if ONLY there was a clue in the names! Oh well. I suppose I'll never know. I shall lay awake at night, wondering "Oh, if only I knew, I would ask the guardians of the sacred servers to spare me these problems"... but no. I languish in the ruins of DKIM hell. Emails left unsent, contacts never contacted. If only... but the names ns1.justhost.com and ns2.justhost.com are written in the deep magick of the Old Ones, and never shall I uncover the secrets of who created them... SERIOUSLY MORONS, FIX YOUR OWN DNS!!!! JustHost.com SHOULD be able to manage THEIR OWN NAMESEVERS! There is absolutely zero excuse for this level of incompetance. And when I did speak to an operator on the chat service, I was told "Thank you for confirming. I will check the issue.", and then I was asked to complete a survey on how knowledgable and helpful they were. NO. That is NOT how to do customer service, nor infrastructure management. Utterly terrible.

Money-back guarantee is a myth

I have been a long-term customer of JustHost, going back to 2010. Over the years, the company has grown but alas has not increased its server capacity and the frequency of crashes and incidence of my website being down have increased dramatically. Most often, the help desk informed me it was a server issue and would be resolved as soon as an update had been completed. It got to the point where I could no longer depend on the host and moved to another provider. At the time, I was eight months into a 36-month pre-paid contract and was reassured by the reassuring guarantee: "we are proud to guarantee a quality hosting experience or your money back." Well, don't believe that for a minute. After initially approving a refund, I was told that no refund was possible because I was beyond 30 days into my contract. In other words, JustHost commits to providing decent service for 30 days and thereafter, you get what they give you. I argued that I am not seeking a refund on the used portion of the contract, only the unused portion - but they refused to pay that. They also refused my repeated requests for an email address for their dispute team or a relevant manager and it took some firm words on my part to get the refund issue escalated, but I am not optimistic about a positive resolution. UPDATE: Persistence has paid off and JustHost has refunded the unused portion of my prepayment - but reluctantly and only after a few chat sessions. They still insist they had no obligation to grant the refund. Be warned: the hosting is unreliable, the support is useless and your money-back guarantee is a myth. In short, look elsewhere!

Bad customer service/ support

Justhost and Blue( whatever) Not great service, my websites are down, been on the online chat service for the last week or so, still no resolution and the websites are still offline. for the last 2 days or so, I am not able get on the chat service. service is terrible, very frustrated. will be taking my business elsewhere

This is the worst company on the planet - please for the love of all that is good, stop reading and pick any other company - there is nothing good about them and or blue host or what ever other name they change - bad bad, dumb, not good, rude, horrible are all words that are too good for them!!!

Case id number: 43960139 I have been with this company since 2017 and I AM FED UP!!! the people on the phone are rude to say the least. They deleted one of two different accounts I had and merged them without asking me or consulting me. They deactivated my hosting account which my business website uses. They told me I did not pay on time. Come to find out I PAID!!!!!!! They didn't want to admit to it. I am very furious as you can see. Use them at your own risk. Not great for those who are not web developers. They don't have the time to explain the what is going on. Thank you God I had some knowledge on developing a website and some of the things it may entail. I HAVE LOST tons of customers as a result of this. I not have to rebuild my very well out and thorough website all over again. I have an online business, I heavily rely on my website. I AM BEYOND UPSET!!! I am rating them a negative five (-5). They should be shut down or get better people to do the job!

Had them for a few years, but something's wrong now

Had them for a few years, and has been good, but they've taken a dive. Email got messed up a few months ago, and they helped with that (maybe during some upgrade, or ownership change), but now I can't login at all.. it used to have a menu at the left, but now starts me cold at setting up a website.. I played along and it wanted to install Wordpress.. hung up, hope anti-viral blocked it. Tried calling tech support and three times now it cuts off (thankfully after only a few minutes instead of a half hour). I hope this gets fixed, as I'm paid up til next August (pd 3 yrs, <1 left), but it's a hassle to move. Odd that it says "justhost" when answering phone, but to chat says "bluehost" which I tried but got a login error. Hope it'll clear within couple days - at least my email (and never-used website) works. Maybe I need to change password, which the phone asked every time before it hung up, but will wait a couple days. EDIT 10/11/22: Got through to them by chat on the first attempt a few days later. They fixed the problem after maybe 5 minutes of chat.. the agent fixed it to jump around the "set up your website" intro. Maybe was a software update, but it was bogus. I gave them two extra stars.

This is the worst hosting I have dealt…

This is the worst hosting I have dealt with. They are resellers of domains and have horrible customer support. I tried to transfer my domain and it was just a headache. The aurthorization codes they sent me never worked. Then the companies that the domains are actually with, you can't get in touch with anyone. I called and tried to reach them and no response. Stay away!

I have been in a three week nightmare…

I have been in a three week nightmare with this company just trying to change the registrant email address so I can respond to ICANN's verification. We're a community theater that has been in business since 1922. ICANN has blocked our website for 3 weeks now because I can't get any resolution from JustHost. First I have spoken to 7 representatives all asking the same question. Why don't they have ONE person taking care of this issue? We have been with JustHost webhosting for over 16 years. We are absolutely leaving to another webhosting company once we get our domain resolved. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Cheap... but 'you pay for what you get'!

When I went to renew my website and email hosting they pushed the price up by 37%... in a month. Tried to make a complaint asked for their Formal Complaints procedure - only to be told 'we don't have one'! - mind blown Cheap... but 'you pay for what you get'! Email and web hosting 'ok' customer service absolutely dreadful - you will waste a lot of time trying to sort any issues out and be left very frustrated.

I'm a client of Justhost since 2016

I'm a client of Justhost since 2016, so far it's been a good hosting without hidden fees, it's not cheap but there are no surprises after sing up. I had several issues "technicals" but they were resolved pretty fast. Their support is very good, and they try solve issues always. In 6 years I only had 1 big issue, they resolved and helped me with my part too
