Returned Item on Time, Refused Refund – Avoid This Seller

I returned a luxury watch on time, following unclear instructions. The seller has since refused a refund, citing arbitrary internal rules, and returned the item to me without my consent. I will filling a chargeback and report them to Trading Standards. Be cautious when buying from this seller. UPDATE follwoing Jura Watches reply: I returned a high-end watch within the 14-day statutory period and notified Jura Watches in good time, but they denied my refund because the watch was received “2 days late” and returned it to me without my consent. Their Terms & Conditions (published on their site) state: “You must either have returned or informed us the product is on its way back to us within 14 days from you receiving the item for discounted products … we refund you within 14 working days of receiving it.”  This clearly matches my situation—I informed them promptly and returned the watch—but they are choosing to misapply their policy in contradiction with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which require notification within 14 days, not actual receipt by them. Further, attempts by Jura Watches to redirect blame to their own internal policies only emphasize how little regard they hold for customer rights. I’m escalating this via a chargeback and reporting to Trading Standards, but customers beware: their strict returns policy is unenforceable by law, and they will keep your money unless you fight back.

Overall, extremely poor service

After an initial contact with one agent, the service went completely downhill. There was zero proactive feedback on an outstanding order, and when chased, I received the most minimal level of service possible.

shop elsewhere

Poor service, don't seem to have any access to the watches they claim to sell, wish I had never encountered them. Many other customers have complained of similar issues, they are not trustworthy.

Misleading and poor service

I ordered and paid for a watch in full on 15th May to be told that it then had to be ordered in. This was not what the website said. It is now 30th May and it still hasn’t arrived at Jura. I asked Jura to cancel the order as the watch is for someone’s birthday in three days’ time and they said it would take up to 2 weeks to refund me. I feel that this is far too long to wait for my money. The phone operator said it’s because ‘this is a family business and that’s how it works’. How do I purchase from elsewhere when they have my money? Shocking. On top of this, emails don’t get responses snd it takes an age for anyone to pick up the phone to give advice on orders.

Great Service

Had been looking for a particular watch for some time, spotted the watch with Jura Watches and received great service from Joshua Parfitt with regards to the purchase, would definitely recommend both Jura Watches and Joshua.

Refund experience appalling

I bought a watch from Jura and then changed my mind as the watch was not in stock and they could not give me an expected timeframe, all very vague imo. I was told that I would have to wait 14 days for a refund, so they gave me the date of when I could expect this. I called them the day after the expected refund date and they basically said they processed it there was nothing they could do - customer service is atrocious I went to Citizen straight after I cancelled my order and received my watch in 3 days with no issues. This company needs to review their feedback and do something about it if there ever to survive, my advice DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FIRM!

A Shower, which means Awful

I contacted Jura, which is really CW Sellors, on 29th April 2025 to enquire about delivery of a watch and to ask for a discount. The salesman, who could as easily have been selling used cars as watches, told me the watch would be sent with Royal Mail. He expressly said that if I bought it, it wouldn't arrive the next day, but probably the day after. That was important because the watch was to be a birthday gift for the following week. He sent me a discounted price and I bought the watch. The following day I received an email telling me the watch would be with me by 28th May 2025. I contacted Jura and spoke to the same salesman by telephone who denied confirming delivery described above. I told him the order was cancelled immediately and said I wanted a refund. The salesman attempted to tell me I'd have to accept a credit note, until I asked him if he wished me to recite the Distance Selling Regulations. I suspected he was one of those awful commission type salesmen who would sell sand if they were paid enough. I confirmed the order cancellation by email and my demand for a refund. I received an email the same day informing me my refund of over £2000 would be with me within 7-10 working days. I waited patiently but the refund didn't arrive by the end of the tenth working day. I sent another email, which didn't receive a response. I then sent a letter before action necessary to sue for debt recovery at the County Court. I received a response figuratively hitting me over the head with CW Sellor's terms of business, which wouldn't withstand scrutiny in light of the Unfair Contract Terms Act in my view. I eventually got my refund today, almost a month after I asked for it. I do wonder if the delay was caused by Jura/ CW Sellors having to issue many refunds, which would not surprise me because in my experience it sells items it hasn't got in stock, gives false and misleading information and has a, at best, dubious sales ethos. Jura/ CW Sellors replied to this review with the usual platitudes and said they'd look in to the matter etc., but nothing will be done. Avoid both Jura and CW Sellors, better options exist, and by reference to reviews it seems people agree.

Impossible to receive refund

I placed an order for a watch but then changed my mind as I found an alternative at a much better price. I contacted Jura Watches to cancel my order. This was before they had received the watch from their supplier and obviously before it had been dispatched. Therefore a refund should have been trivial to process. Unfortunately over 3 weeks later I am still waiting for my refund and Jura watches do not reply to my communications. Update 30/05/2024 - After trying to contact Jura by email, telephone, their WhatsApp number and their online chat (all not responded to) I have had to submit a chargeback claim with my credit card provider. Jura Watches clearly do not give a hoot about UK consumer law, their reputation or the experience of their customers. Update 02/06/2025 I was contacted by Jura Watches on 31st may to say they had finally processed the refund (please note that it has not shown up in my credit card balance so I have to take their word for it). This is 24 days after I requested the order cancellation. UK consumer law states that I am entitled to a refund within 14 days. So they had indeed broken UK consumer law.

Watch repaired quickly

My new watch just stopped suddently after 4 months and C W Sellors promptly returned it to the manufacturers. I thought maybe it was a faulty battery, but it seems the whole movement was replaced, which surprised me. Surita in particular was very helpful keeping me updated with its progress and I received it back today - so far working perfectly 🤞 So .... THANK YOU!!

Good customer service and well packaged

I ordered a watch which is slightly harder to find in stock in the UK so I knew when purchasing I’d have to wait a little for the product to be shipped. Throughout the process I felt like I was emailed and kept informed as to when I was going to receive the product, and it did then arrive in the time scale they said in the email. When it came it was nicely packaged and I’m happy with everything received. I also got a discount due to the bank holiday offer. So overall can’t really ask for more than that and was pretty happy with the service.

Fenix 8

I ordered my Fenix 8 from Jura Watches / C W Sellors on the 10th April 2025. Sadly I wasn’t informed at that time that the watch wasn’t in stock. After several email exchanges promising that the watch was on order and would be a couple of weeks it was delivered over a month later in the 23rd May. The watch itself is great, however I am disappointed with the service provided and lack of updates re the delivery timeline.
