The store should raise the bar on whom they hire

The store should stop having employees at the cutting counter ask about your project. The last time I was there (Toledo, ohio location), the woman asked me about my sewing project. After I told her what the fabric was for, she nagged at me about my choice of fabric and told me to get a pattern. She was awfully rude and loud, and did this in front of customers. I won't be going there again. I actually make my own patterns, and design some of my clothes amongst other things I sew. The company needs to go back to hiring knowledgeable employees.

My very first order and they cancelled every item

I placed my first order on Joann.com on 1/10/24, as I had a coupon I wanted to use which was expiring the same day. I chose several items and my credit card was charged. Within an hour I received an email stating that LITERALLY EVERY ITEM was no longer available and was cancelled. The entire order on the first try. Wow. I also noticed that although I placed the order on 1/10/24 and my credit card was charged on that date, Joann's order summary listed the order as being placed on the 11th (not true). That would negate the coupon. A note at the bottom of the email stated my card not be charged for the cancelled items, however it already has. I am hoping that my credit card will soon be refunded. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Cancelled my entire order

I just made an online order with 22 different items. These were the Christmas clearance sale items. Hours later, I received an email that ALL of my items were out of stock and had been cancelled! They have some VERY serious inventory issues! I will never order from them again! I ordered more than one of some items, but there were 22 different items. They didnt have ANY of them in stock. Wow. Terrible.

This company might as well be a scam

This company might as well be a scam. I ordered something beginning of December to be delivered to my family by Christmas and was sent to a confirmation page which told me I would received tracking via email. I never received any confirmation email but was charged so I assumed it was going to arrive. 3 weeks later coming up on Christmas, nothing had been received. I reached out to customer support via email and received no response. It was only after I sent about 5 emails that I finally received a generic response asking for my order number (which I didn’t have since I never received a confirmation email). I replied explaining this and again, no response. I think altogether I sent about 10 emails and received only 2 responses. Finally someone replied again saying that he order had been canceled. I asked them why I was never informed of the cancellation and they ignored my question and replied by simply saying “sorry for the confusion, it looks like your charge has been reversed. Let me know if you have any more questions.” Um, can you answer my question that you just ignored? I ended up having to spend $$ on expedited shipping to get the item from another company before Christmas. Color me annoyed. It’s safe to say I will be boycotting this unprofessional company.

The customer service is rude

The customer service is rude. They are a welp it's out of our hands have a good day and hang up the phone. They will not go out of their way for their customers. I placed a order on the app. It said it processed. Checked back and there was no history of my purchase at all or the gift card I used to purchase my products. When asked they said do you have the card number I replied no since I used the whole gift card on my purchase and threw it away. They said well that's not our problem and hung up. NEVER AGAIN WILL BE SHOPPING AT JO ANN. Hopefully they will be the next business to close . My 52$ somehow vanished and I got none of my products.

Order never shipped. Incompetent customer support. Thank you very much!

My order did not get shipped for a month!!! Reached out to customer support with my order number provided, they replied with a WRONG order number indicated that the order is delivered. Super incompetent! After a few emails back and forth, they issued a refund before giving me the option to reship the package (which I will prefer)! Now the product I wanted is out of stock. For a loyal customer of Jo-Ann for years, this is extremely disappointing.

This company is the Worst!

I ordered two frames on November 25th for delivery, was charged and never heard a word about the order even after multiple inquiries. They were supposed to be a Christmas Gift so I am so very upset! When I inquire via email (because they won't accept phone calls which is outrageous) I get a automatic response that someone will contact me within 24 hours. Hah! I have asked for the order to be voided since when I check with Fed Ex they say they have not even received the merchandise yet! Customer Service is non existent! I need this to be resolved immediately.

On-line order for Craft decorating…

On-line order for Craft decorating supplies placed 11/25/23; multiple packages received with 1-2 items in each and all in mid December which was too late to make my wreaths. I reached out to CS and got back "How can I help you today" from 4 different agents and none followed through, despite the information I provided. One box received with a smaller box inside that was not taped shut. Is something missing - I may never know.

Here's a customer warning to all my crafty friends near and far, when in comes to online orders with JOANN... With great anticipation I ordered a total of four products from JOANN on November 25, 2023, and awaited the timely delivery of the items. The ribbons and a string of garland were ordered for use with holiday decor and family crafted gifts. From the onset of the order, I was informed via automated email: "Thanks for shopping with us. We'll email you as soon as your order ships with the tracking details. Due to high demand, please allow a little extra time for us to fulfill your order.". However, as the days of processing turned into weeks, I wondered what was the delay. On December 9th I sent the first of three emails inquiring as to the shipment delay, with varying versions of customer service responses, including: "This is a quick note to let you know that we received your message and we will be crafting a response soon! We are receiving a higher than normal volume of emails currently, and it is taking us longer to respond. We appreciate your patience as we work as quickly as possible! In the meantime, we encourage you to check out our Help Center on joann.com for answers to our most frequently asked questions." The Help Center was neither helpful nor satisfactory in their answers to my question, How to contact a customer service? On December 19 I finally located a phone number for JOANN after conducting an extensive Google search. However, after remaining on hold for 35 minutes, I disconnected the call. Then on December 18, I received an email message stating one of the 3 ribbons was being shipped and would arrive by Friday, December 22 - not ideal, but at least I could use it before Christmas. However, December 22 and came and went, but there was no ribbon in my mailbox nor my hands to craft. It finally arrived on Tuesday, December 26. On December 23rd I sent another email, my third and final email inquiring as to the reason for yet another delay, and the status of the remaining order. "Customer Service" responded on December 27, with the following email: "Thank you for reaching out to us. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Upon reviewing your order, we have identified that three items have been canceled due to their unavailability during the fulfillment process." As a 30+ year loyal customer of JOANN's I am extremely disappointed with the customer support I received throughout this month-long process of online order and shipment of product. So dear crafty friends near and far, here's my warning to you...beware of online orders with JOANN's. From the delay of time-sensitive products, to the lack of personal (non-automated) customer service, to the inability to post a honest review of their customer service or lack thereof; my recent experience as a long-time shopper with JOANN has soured my future support of their company and products. And for those whom might suggest I alter my shopping experience to an in-person customer, for myself and my current residence location, to shop in-person means a 120 mile round-trip drive. :(

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. They don't ship in a timely manner or at all, then don't offer ways to cancel orders. All emails sent to them are returned as not deliverable.

Absolutely the worst online company to order from

Never buying from Joann again. Absolutely the worst online retailer there is. Ordered Christmas wrapping paper on 11/25. Order was processing. Received an email notification stating my order was delayed on 12/15.....Wow, only 3 weeks after placing the order!! At this point I sent an email to find out why my order hadn't shipped and what the status was. No response. Instead, I get an email telling me my entire order has been cancelled on 12/21. Ordered way in advance not to find myself searching for wrapping paper last minute and now that's exactly what I am being forced to do. Know you inventory, communicate with your customer, give timely updates! Guess it could have been worse....if they had sent me the wrapping paper folded in half like another unfortunate reviewer experienced I would have been on the war path...how ridiculous is that? Done with Joann....If you value your time, and want a positive customer service experience you should too! Happy Holidays Everyone!

Merry Christmas …

I ordered a sewing machine for Christmas. My wife was going to be so excited!! I noticed a credit on my card after a week of no shipping updates. They dont have one to sell me I'm guessing due to the credit. Zero Stars is more appropriate.

We’re not happy until you’re happy……NOT

Purchased a product from them online for a birthday gift 2 weeks away. We receive thank you for your order then nothing. After a week we sent a message to customer service with another thank you for contacting us. Then nothing for another week. We called several times and waited on hold for over an hour getting sick of the tape that said “we aren’t happy until you are happy”. After 18 days they sent an answer saying product was out of stock. Fortunately we ordered a replacement from AMAZON and we got it it time for her birthday. They have no customer service at all! We to think a 1 is too high of a rating for them, and sadly they dont care!

NEVER AGAIN!!!

NEVER AGAIN!!! I will never in my life shop at Joann's again - and I warn you to NEVER shop online with them. I was charged for an order that took over a month to ship, and when it did ship it came in bits and pieces with inaccurate tracking updates, and no packing labels to explain what should be in your order and what is coming. Then half the order was canceled without any notification at all. I had to dig to discover this - and I have yet to receive a refund for those canceled items! The items that did arrive - some were broken, others were incomplete like a set of 3 ornaments and only receiving 2!? LIKE WHAT THE ****!! I returned whatever items did finally arrive in-store, and guess what - that refund is also MIA! Poof! Wheres my money!? Talk about a TERRIBLE experience. And customer service has been a nightmare. Crickets for weeks.

Placed an order a month ago, still have not received! They aren't taking customer calls and REFUSE to cancel, saying we can't cancel. My order is just sitting in limbo for a month, yet they have my money!

I will never order from Joanns again

I will never order from Joanns again. I don't want the gift card my daughter gave me for Christmas, I told her to get her money back. I will never visit Joanns, order from them ever again. I ordered Dec 5th, still not here, and their customer service is useless. Horrible company, someone should look into them.

8 days and still not shipped

I ordered 4 skeins of yarn and some safety eyes 8 days ago and they haven’t even shipped it yet. They said “please allow a little more time,” but did not say they would take over a week to even look at my order. If they’d been clear about how long it would take them to put my yarn in a box, I would have found another way to get this on time to give to my daughter for Christmas. (2 weeks should have been enough for such an established business.)

Do NOT order online for a SHIP TO HOME

I placed an order on 11/26/23, which they charged my credit card, and today is 12/18/23, and I still do NOT have my order. Reading the comments below, I see this is a common practice. Are they using customers to subsidize their cash flow. Are they hoping I will forget about my order so they can keep the credit card payment. Are they ever going to deliver my order. Please note that they no longer have customer support. The reason is blatantly apparent. They do have automated BS form emails if you initiate the email string. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before ordering a ship to home order. Although, I did not think I had to. I have had great luck with purchasing items at brick locations, as well as online orders to pick up at brick location. I won't make this mistake again, and I will write as many reviews as I can to prevent others from making the same mistake.

DO NOT SHOP AT JOANNS -DISAPPOINTING

I knew its was a busy season so I tried to be patient. Checked their shipping and processing information and patiently waited. Days went by. Days turned into weeks. I emailed joanns customer service. Received an automated response telling me they’d get back in 48 hours. TWO WEEKS go by. No contact. I email again. Nothing again. I ask to be escalated because this is ridiculous. Of course I get one baby response “I’ll check on this and escalate to a manger” No management contact. I wait again. 2 days shy of waiting a full month after placing my order and they CANCEL my order. No sewing machine for me. No contact for resolution. Just a big F U from Joanns. I used to shop at joanns semi regular but I’ll never step foot into another Joanns again. TERRIBLE service. TERRIBLE company. What a waste of time and space. As someone who works in customer service, I’m appalled at the poor practices, probably because Joanns isn’t paying enough nor do they have enough employees. Slave labor but nothing to show for it. I don’t know how anyone in this company sleeps at night. Y’all couldn’t pay me to shop here. One week to Christmas and all I get is disappointment. I hope others read reviews online before purchasing cause I made the mistake of not doing so. Apparently the only way to get a response from Joanns is to go to the better business bureau. What a joke.
