Wort shopping experience

Wort shopping experience. I truly hated shopping at JoAnn’s store at Seven Corners, VA. They have the rudest associates, the most outdated fabrics and a bad pricing system. I hadn't been in that store in years and was shocked to find the state of disarray, how hard it is to find not only the type of fabric you are looking for, but also which price goes with what. The prices are marked differently on the bolt of cloth and on the isles, some have price down stickers, who knows. Different types of fabric are all mixed up, look dirty, or are thrown on the floor and stuck in large containers behind the cutting counter. The isles are blocked by freight, it’s so hard to maneuver the shopping cart. Just because it's about the only fabrics store left in the DC area and I had already made the trip, I kept looking. I spent more than two hours to finally find a few pieces I liked but when I was heading to the cutting counter, the associate announced, out of the blue, that the counter was closed and she was not cutting fabric anymore. She was turning everyone away 45 minutes before closing time. I saw this elderly man who had also had a hard time finding fabric being turned away in the rudest possible way. Another lady told me that she asked for a certain kind of fabric and she was dismissed in the same way. So, I left empty handed but returned a few days later because I already had made my mind on the fabric, only to find that the pieces I liked where elsewhere, the prices had gone up, and, oh the horror, the same associate. This time there was another woman who looked like the manager so I thought well, at least I don’t have to deal with the first one. They were loudly and happily chatting away with each other and ignoring everyone around. The “manager” or whoever the other woman was, turned out as rude as the first one. I mean, these women exude aggressiveness, it’s like they abhor dealing with costumers. And the prices turned out different, and higher, of course. Oh well, never, ever again. This brick and mortar store is truly not worth it.

Couldn't order pick up in store kept…

Couldn't order pick up in store kept saying address wrong.put in multiple times. Hit or miss when will allow. So ordered on line..with 1.99 shipping. 4 fabrics...9 days nothing. 2 or in transit by 2 different delivery services and the other 2 are still in progress. Joann you need to get your act together..this is why in bankruptcy

Ms. Desi

Ms. Desi needs to be stopped! She has been rude to multiple people. There is opportunity for her to learn good customer service. She is supposed to help us a customers and she makes us feel like we are a bother. Why is she working there? What’s wrong? She is paid to do a job in customer service and she should do it or quit. She can’t keep treating people wrong. That makes the company look like that they don’t care.

So far I do not have my ordered…

So far I do not have my ordered product. I paid $25 for Express Shipping on 11/3. The info on the website says 3-4 business days to ship using Express Shipping. Today is 11/10!!!!! I have checked the status of the order/delivery and it is STILL in processing. So what is with the high $25 price. I realized I was probably being foolish I was in a hurry to complete a project. I am not happy. I would suggest for no one to make the same foolish mistake. Although, it might have taken months for regular shipping price.

Beware your order may be unavailable…

The website lets you order fabrics that are out of stock or unavailable. What is interesting is they discover about two weeks after the order that oh my...we are out of the item you ordered and we're so sorry. But they don't tell you this within a day or two but figure it out weeks later. So frustrated. Three much needed items were delayed then suddenly out of stock and unavailable. No wonder the company is experiencing financial issues!

I would give them a score of 0 if I could. Placed an order online and there was inventory for the items ordered. Emailed Customer Service twice without a response because the order was stuck in “order processing” status. Eight days after I placed the order I get an email that the order was cancelled probably because they never processed the order and ran out of stock! Never would I order from them again!!!

Never Purchase from Joann's again!

Placed an order for two fabrics there was a hold put on my bank account for the total cost. They then informed me one of the fabrics (90% of the total bill) had shipped and again put a hold on my Bank for the cost of that. I realize the hold will fall off after 14 days yet why should I be forced to wait while they could easily drop the first hold and enter a second hold for the balance!

I placed an order through their website…

I placed an order through their website three weeks ago. My order still shows pending. They don’t have a phone number for customer service and when I contact them through email I only get a generic response. Never again.

Store was filthy

Store was filthy. There were boxes crowding the aisle. Fire hazard, plus I could not get to tons of the fabric. People asked me if I worked there because there were no employees around.

Where is any help for my order?

I have been trying to order the same things for weeks now. I have tried just one item and tried with all of the items that I wanted. And still, there is some kind of error. From daily limits to, well they don’t know. What is wrong with this picture ?

Horrible customer service

I placed an order on line that indicated there were 3 in stock at the Apple Valley, MN store. When I went to pick up the order the next day, the cashier basically said my order wasn't there. I talked to the manager and she said, "I don't have it." I'll cancel the order. What horrible customer service. When I reported my experience online, I got a message pretty much stating that what I might order and pay for online may not match their true inventory. Basically, too bad. Didn't even address the poor customer service I received.

Put me in debt

Put me in debt. They charged my card like 6 seperate times. I ALREADY PAID FOR IT IN FULL. Other times: my yarn was unspun in the skein, They sent me 2 BROKEN yarn bowls, they sent my paclage TO THE WRONG HOUSE and refused to fix it BEFORE THEY HAD EVEN PROCESSED THE ORDER. Wtf Is this website. They shoulda just shut the stores down. This has got to be the WORST experience iv ever had online. Disgusting. The owner or CEO NEEDS TO BE FIRED. No wonder they filed chap 11. Theives!!

A total mess of an order

I ordered 8 yards of one kind of fabric. I received a note that I would get my order in 2 pkgs; first pkg arrived and stated it was 5 yards, but contained 2 cuts of 3 yards and 2 yards. I have now received the second pkg containing 3 yards. I contacted their customer service and was told that they do not guarantee a continuous cut! So, bottom line for me is that obeviously, on mail orders, they are sending out their leftovers. I needed 8 yards for a project, NOT 3 pieces of 3, 2, and 3 yards. This is shameful for a fabric store.

Ridiculous

Ridiculous. I ordered 3 items and paid for 3- 4 days express shipping. Eleven days later I was told by a customer service representative that one item has shipped (which is incorrect because their own tracking information indicates it is still at the warehouse) and the other 2 items are out of stock. Never again.

They canceled mostly everything from my order but, still show in stock online. And only told me that it takes two weeks for their inventory to update but, said I can place another order like really ?. I don’t like blind sided ordering . I wouldn’t order from them again .

Purchased a singer sewing machine

Purchased a singer sewing machine. It was malfunctioning out of the box. Tried to return it but they neglected to tell me electronics cannot be returned. Singer website says purchases made in store must be returned to that store. So I have a $350 sewing machine that can't be returned.

Iam supper sad, said it is delivered but nothing on my property.

Iam supper sad. I ordered cute yarn to knit my granddaughters a matching sweather. TRACK17 said it is delivered but no package anywhere to been found. It took 4 weeks to shipped out of CHINA! Please look in to my order.

I used to like the St Cloud MN store

I used to like the St Cloud MN store. However, since the manager has been replaced, the store has really gone downhill. Nothing is stocked on the shelves. There are boxes in the isle. I understand it is an old building, but product could at least be put away. Just waiting for the fire marshal to come and close the store

Bad experience became GREAT experience

Bad experience became GREAT experience. The Joann website had some time sensitive Daily Deal Drops that weren't reflecting the sale price when put in the cart. I sent an email, but didn't hear back until the next day, when the other sale had ended. I was informed that there must have been a glitch, and they asked if I could provide screen shots. Luckily, I had taken them, so I sent them. Realizing that there was an issue, they were able to credit my order to reflect the discounted price. AND, since I picked-up in store, I also got an additional 20% off the original order. So, it took a couple of emails, but they were apologetic, and helped resolve my issue quickly. Very pleased!
