Be wary of ordering on-line!

I placed an order on-line, it was ready the following day to pick up. When I got home I checked out the order it was not all there as I ordered it, although the website said it was in stock. I order 5 yds of material $2.23 per yard & was charged $2.79 per yard, I only received 4yards, I bought shears and was charged @2.52 more that the price that I was charged on-line. They jimmied the prices around to make it the same price that I agreed to on-line, with me getting less than I ordered. Then after all this, I checked my credit card and was charged twice for the same order. You can not get a hold of a human, you have to contact them by email, well I did to no avail. They have yet to get back with me to even find out the problem. That is not professional, I will think twice before dealing with Jo Ann Fabric again

Same as others have stated

Same as others have stated. Received an email that some of the items I ordered we're out of stock but we're still on website as available. And to top it off they sent an email for me to review the items that were cancelled. They took weeks to send shipping info. The shipping dates kept changing being pushed back. The items I did get took a month to arrive. Will be the last time I order from here. They also never responded to my emails when I was trying to figure out if anything was coming.

No concern for us!

I went to pickup a few items this week. I was very surprised that there were NO wipes for the carts, nor were they cleaned ... no hand sanitizer either. They had laid out a pile of dry paper towels - really? What good are they? The cashier indicated they had been out for a few days. No concern what so ever for their shoppers!

Cancelled items that are still available

Ordered for curb side pick up on 05/09/2020. Got an email this morning that over half my order was cancelled (8/9 items) and the rest is available for pick up. I looked on their website, and all the items they cancelled say they’re in stock at the store I ordered from! So either they have a crappy inventory system and it’s is all completely made up, or their employees just gave up on my order and cancelled the rest of it instead of actually TRYING to get all my items. When I mentioned this on the phone, I was told they can’t do anything since it was already cancelled and I’d have to come to the store and find the items myself in order to get the prices I originally paid. My only other option is to order online and pay the now double prices. Considering I have to drive an hour to pick it up I’m not happy. I ordered for curb side pickup so I DONT HAVE TO GO IN THE STORE AND EXPOSE MYSELF TO COVID-19. Extremely frustrating and disappointing service.

Like everyone else

Like everyone else, I placed an order showing that the item is in stock, I waited over a week for it just to receive an email telling me out of stock. What kind of crap is that? Not even a hey sorry we screwed up and got your hopes up.

The most horrible service.

The most horrible service. I understand delays, but if you charge an order for pickup, then that means that you've already processed it. It's been a week since my card was charged and I haven't received any confirmation on the three orders I submitted. You can't call the store or customer service to follow-up. I'm referring to the store in Paramus, NJ. Last month, I also ordered for pickup as well and never received confirmation. Fortunately someone in the Riverdale store picked up when I called and was informed that the order had been ready for a few days, but I never received an email and neither was the website updated. So if the company puts a process a process in place and wants the customers to abide by it, they should also be accountable for abiding by it themselves so customers are not left in limbo on the status.

Dealing with Joann's has been very…

Dealing with Joann's has been very frustrating. I want to make masks - based on their instructions. First, I ordered for store pickup. It took a week for the order to be ready; meanwhile, they cancelled half the items purchased, including key ingredients. Then, they included one of the cancelled items in the pickup list - and charged me for it. I sent an email, but have received no response from them. Next, I tried to purchase the missing ingredients online. This was also quite frustrating. I wanted flannel - color doesn't matter, but I had to click into each color to see if I could order online. After scrolling thru many, I found one that indicated I could order online. Same issue with the interfacing. I placed the order. Over the last 4 days, I have now received separate emails that each item has been cancelled. I don't understand why Joann's is more incompetent than all the other retailers I've been dealing with over the Covid-19 experience. I must assume that they are not investing in their employees such that they are comfortable working there. Either way, I will look elsewhere in the future.

The response time on orders and request has been horrible. It took a month for one of my orders to arrive. It also took the company 2 weeks to tell me that they could not fill my order. Even when the stores reopen I do not think I will be providing them with my business. Just the worse

81% bad reviews

81% bad reviews! It’s understandable that businesses are overwhelmed with this virus situation but you’d think they would read these and attempt to make it right. My orders have come incomplete, I have been charged shipping for my initial complete order and then charged again for a partial shipment. I’ve double checked that supplies are available and then messaged a day later it wasn’t...”oops” from Joann’s has turned into a disgust. I’m planning on social distancing myself by NOT using Joann Fabric again. And I’ve already starting advertising by word of mouth 😡

We want your review but ONLY if we look good

Interesting enough if your review reflects any kind of negativity on them, for whatever reason their staff is unable to publish or review. They send you their ‘guidelines’ and even though you’ve not broken any of their ‘rules’, somehow it’s still wrong. Never trust a company that only publishes the positive because they clearly have something to hide. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a common theme for Joann fabrics. Word-of-mouth travels fast and I will make sure my corner knows to shop elsewhere. Like everyone else on here it was about their terrible online ordering system and horrible customer service. I know they were struggling before, but I would be surprised if this isn’t the end of them.

Terrible service

I ordered curbside and it was not clear it would take 10 to 15 days to get the order. I called the store and they said they had hundreds of orders and they would let me know when it was available. At that point I decided to wait. 15 days later they emailed me to say the only part of my order I could get was the straight pins I ordered. So I cancelled the order because it was not worth my gas to drive 10 miles to the store that I thought was going to provide my order. Terrible customer service and NO communication.

JoAnn’s is a horrible place to shop.

JoAnn’s is a horrible place to shop. Especially online, they say product is available for delivery in 2-3 days or ready to pick up. I chose pick up. I received an email thanking me for the purchase, but not to show up until I receive a different email to confirm my product is ready for pick up. 3 weeks later and no email, I did receive an email requesting a review of a product I never received. I left the review, immediately followed by an email stating my order has been canceled because it was out of stock. A few days later I received another email , stating my review would not be posted because it does not meet their guidelines. So they give terrible service but do not want you to review about it. So there you have it. Shop elsewhere if you want proper service.

Every time I've ordered (at least 4 times now), they've cancelled several items after I've placed my order stating they were "Out of Stock." They need to do a better job keeping track of their online inventory.

Never Refunded me

I placed and order for zippers and I understand with what is going on shipping would be delayed but it took them 2 weeks the product wasn't available anymore AND they NEVER refunded me despite filling to be refunded. This isn't the first time they've done something like this AND when I tried to leave a review they moderated it. They don't wan't people to know that they have bad service.

It’s May and I Just Received Easter Items I Ordered in March

This review is about shipping speed. I do not recommend ordering online from Joann’s right now. It’s been 5 weeks since I placed my online order, and I still have not received everything I ordered. The first part of my order showed up about 3 weeks after my order date. I have since received bits of my order in about 5 total packages. I ordered Easter ribbon and craft items. Why would I still want Easter items in May? I have no use for these items now yet I’m stuck with them. I understand shipping is going to be slow right now with Coronavirus, but 5+ weeks is ridiculous. I’m thankful for employees working hard to ship orders, but obviously Joann’s doesn’t have their backs as they must be understaffed. They shouldn’t have been selling holiday items online if they couldn’t ship them out fast enough.

During COVID-19 the service at Jo-Ann…is terrible

During COVID-19 the service at Jo-Ann Fabric Store is terrible! I’ve ordered on line three times and either I’ve received it three weeks late or not at all. Their website is terrible and I’ve had to pay in advance for bad service.

Beware mail order

Beware mail order. I placed a large order for flannel fabrics. It took a long time to do this because you have to scroll endlessly through their website to find anything that is actually in stock. Once I placed the order and paid (including the $7.99 shipping), I was informed that almost all of my order is cancelled due to lack of availability. I would NEVER have paid the $7.99 shipping for just the few items that will come. Very annoying, and no opportunity to cancel the whole order. I will ask for adjustment of shipping and update when I hear. Joann needs to manage their e-commerce site! Whoever is responsible for managing the site should be terminated and they should hire someone who knows what they're doing.

In March I decided to make and donate…

In March I decided to make and donate masks for hospitals and a few clinics. I went to Joann Fabrics , in La Verne, CA to ask what type of fabric I should buy. I asked an older lady that was working there and with the most condescending voice she said "They should be N95 masks" and she walked away. I felt stupid and questioned if I should even be making masks. I continued looking around the store and found a group of people doing the same thing. They told me what I should buy. As I came to pay, I thought I'd tell the young lady at the register what I had gone through. I stood in line for about 2 minutes before I asked her if she could help me. She also had the worst attitude so I kept my mouth shut, paid and left. Since this is the closest Joann's to my home I have made two orders curbside pick up orders and its taken about 4-6 days for both. This weekend I decided to try out the Redlands, CA store and my order was ready in a few hours. I made another order today at the Chino, CA store and my order took about an hour to be ready. My thought is that either the employees in La Verne don't like there jobs or they aren't really friendly or both.
