PREJUDICE AT ITS FINEST ALL THE TIME

Every time I go into the store located in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin, I am treated so terribly. No matter which rep I approach asking for help. They turn their noses up as if I asked for their personal money. They won't help me and than say things like go over there and look or wait in line. I say there is no line and I need help with a certain kind of fabric. They still refuse to help me no matter what my dark skin self ask for. I think they are trained to be rude and prejudice. So sad! I have to go to this store because they are near and usually have what I need for my projects. I really miss good people. To add insult to injury, I ordered online curb side pick up due to the Covid 19, I didn’t want to go into the store for safety reasons. Once ordered, was told by phone that my order would be ready by end of the day, I should get an email. I figured I would check the next day for my order and didn’t see it online. I checked day after day. Finally I called and again I was told my order will be ready by the end of day. Well it wasn’t. I called the next day and was told my order was cancelled, I ask why with no good answer. The next day I called again just to get switch around to 3 different reps and yes you guessed it, I was told that they don’t have the fabric in stock. I waited about 2 minutes just for another person to tell me that they have 6 yards available. I went into the store and inquired and was told by another rep who said go over there and look. I asked which section and she said I don’t know what u r looking for. I showed her my phone as far as the order and she said oh that was you on the phone. I again asked nicely where in the store can I find this material and she said, like I said before; go over there, wait in line. She offered no help. I must say, the person who cut my materials was very pleasant and such a breath of fresh air considering all the mess I go through each time I go in Joann in MENOMONEE FALLS WI location on May 19, 2020@ 6:32pm

very bad experience with Joann

very bad experience with Joann. I purchased some fabric online beginning of March (more than 2 months ago) , And still did not receive my order. I send more than 4 emails complaining, and haven't had an answer from them.

I placed a curbside order a week ago…

I placed a curbside order a week ago and just received an email that the entire order was canceled. All items were in stock when the order was placed. Why even offer curbside service? Just say that you are unable to operate at this time.

Glitchy and bad turn around time.

Terrible online shopping experience. My order kept glitching, things would be available then suddenly unavailable, then if I refreshed the page available again. Made it impossible to find and get the items in the colors and patterns I was searching for. On top of that, every item I ordered is beung shipped separately, and on diffrent days. Most arriving 2-3 weeks after my intial order which had a 7-10 day shipping time. Will not use the online service again.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Will never buy from this company again. Placed an order and they double shipped and double billed me. Can not contact them bu phone so I sent in a dozen plus emails and messages through their "contact us" on website for over 3 weeks. They are ignoring me. Why accept orders if you can not handle returns and issues??? Hate Joann's

Horrible customer Service

Horrible customer Service, or should I say no customer service what so ever. You place orders, and you hear nothing for days until it gets cancelled. Place orders for shipping and again your gear nothing for weeks. No one responds to any emails, and your money and order is just well, who knows!! Worst company to deal with at this time.

POOR Customer service . No response! Steel your money

I bought a $500 sewing machine on 4/8/2020 with a delivery date of 5-7 business days . 6+ Weeks later no machine but they have my money . They won’t respond to my emails or answer the corporate phone . Tracking states it was at FedEx Snellville Georgia but Fedex assured me they NEVER received the machine only the request order to ship . So where is my money so I can replace my current broken sewing machine .

I’m understanding that with covid…

I’m understanding that with covid everything is behind, However my order delivery date has changed 5 times. Previously I ordered online to pick up at my local store then got an email saying it wasn’t in stock which seems to be a never ending issue online. Im going on or maybe even past two weeks now which is truly annoying. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues, every single time I buy fabric it never comes back in stock!

Poor online order fulfillment

Pre-pandemic, I only shopped their brick and mortar store. I had no idea how bad their online service was. I am still waiting on items for an order I placed 3 weeks ago. The final straw was I got an email yesterday saying my order would be here “tomorrow”. So now it’s the end of the day and it hasn’t arrived. I click to track my order and w t f it won’t be here for two more days. Very disorganized!

Horrible...

Horrible.... placed an online order for the cricut maker, on the 6th of May to be delivered by the 12th. Checked online to see that the order has already been processed and completed but when I check the FedEx shipping order, there is no update, as if they never received . I’ve tried calling and emailing customer service and have not gotten any response in the last week. As many have already stated, the support line goes straight to voicemail so there’s pretty much no way of talking to anyone about my order. This was first time ordering from them since they had a pretty good deal on the maker , but this will for sure be my last time ordering anything from them

please don't some of their workers are terrible disrespectful to be honest after seeing all the reviews they have I don't even know how can people still go to the store I'm guessing because there is not much competition so they think they can get away with everything

Will someone please open a competing business to kill Joann’s stores?

I’m over Joann’s but feel stuck in a toxic relationship. I use fleece in all my Etsy products. I can’t wait for a legit competitor to pop up and CARE about the stuff they obviously don’t. Today was it for me. Im going to start by sharing the portfolio of the private equity firm, Leonard Green & Partners LP https://www(dot)leonardgreen(dot)/portfolio If you’re stuck buying fabric at Joann’s and need a way to support the owners as little as possible, stop shopping the container store, J crew and anything else you can get elsewhere. If customers can give them a reason to get their act together by making an impact where they’re more profitable maybe the stores would change from soul sucking tiring experiences to simply buying GD fabric bc that’s all we want to do!!!! Don’t need the grumpy counter lady telling me she did all my work for me bc she cut my fabric. Don’t need money tied up in my bank account bc you take multiple online orders not being aware of your inventory and then cancel AFTER tying up my money. Don’t need your staff telling me to go find the codes for 15 fabrics myself after I found them all the day before bc I had fabric cut, your registers were down so you couldn’t sell to me same day and between yesterday and today someone lost the yellow slip that would allow me to pay. Let’s talk about the attempts to be safe and do curbside that get cancelled bc the fabric “isn’t there“ only to know your employees just don’t want to find it so I go in and viola, it’s all there on the shelves. I could go on. I have 3 years worth of these stories bc every time I go in it’s something just like this. Joann’s, you are, with ZERO hyperbole, the absolute worst company I spend money at. No other business holds a light to how god awful you run this company. Hope you made tons of money selling cotton for masks and sitting back while your under paid, overworked employees were total jerks to your customers.

Horrible System

Horrible System. If I can only put zero star I would. I ordered a curb side pick hoping to get it fast, but it’s been 5 days now and they are still processing my order tried calling to see what’s going on, all I got was an automated voice message. I wish Michaels start selling fabric at store. They are so much better.

Placed order 4/24 for sewing machine…

Placed order 4/24/2020 for sewing machine and other items... showing still processing on 5/16/2020. The customer service number is shutdown and they ARE NOT answering emails. I went to Facebook and sent a message, they claim they cannot cancel my order, I would have to wait, let it ship and return. How can you not cancel an order that have not been shipped, that says STILL PROCESSING? And I WILL NOT pay a restocking fee. I have all my documentation of BAD BUSINESS!! I will NEVER shop at Joanns again once this madness is over.

Highly disappointing

Highly disappointing. Joann is deceitful and using false advertising to trick people into buying things they did not originally come for. Twice now I have gone on their website to order fabric. It shows that it is available but when I place an order they send a message apologizing because the item is no longer available. Meanwhile, I already bought other things that I didn't really want but bought while I was there.

Online Order for store pick up.

I placed an order for 2 spools of thread and 1yd of fabric to be picked up at the store. The order was placed around 8am on a Monday morning and it is now 10:35am on Saturday morning and the order is still not ready for pick up. I could have ordered from Amazon and had the masks made for my grandson by now...never ordering online from Joann fabrics again. Total failure in their ability to process orders in a timely manner.

Wife ordered sewing machine—- then…

Wife ordered sewing machine—- then reads reviews to see it is a p. o. s. Call customer service to cancel order 10 minutes after placed it to cancel it. Cs is only email no phone during covid. So been emailing ever hour for 2 & 1/2 days to cancel order. Hoping they gonna send the email we got before for other items saying out of stock order canceled. Since web kept showing out of stock minutes after she ordered it. No reply from cs... kept checking status 60 hours was in processing then switched to shipped. Fed ex still shows just label createdStill no reply from cs. Now gonna have to pay $25 restocking fee to get rid of p.o.s.all they had to do was read 1 of the 60 emails and cancel the order instead of processing it further and would have saved me $25

Items canceled for curbside pickup

I ordered for curbside pickup assuming it would be like any other store and I would be picking the items up in a day or two at the most. After receiving two emails that some of my items were cancelled I decided to see if others were having the same issue. After reading these reviews I’m doubting I will be getting anything in less than a week, if I even get my items at all. I understand stores are having delays now but don’t advertise curbside pickup if you can’t fulfill orders.

May 7 2020 i placed an order for 19…

May 7 2020 i placed an order for 19 different fabrics when it was on sale. If the items were listed at in stock in store available for curbside i picked that option bc i figure it would be faster and easier. Everything else not in stock in store for pickup was going to be ship. All online order for shipping were sent out individually from different states. I have only received 1 of the 4 items being shipped. The other 3 are being shipped separately but i guess i dont care bc they promise no additional shipping charges. 3 days ago i went in store when they reopened to check all the items i ordered for pickup and they were in stock, plenty. Guess what, today i just got an email saying all in store items i ordered has been cancelled bc they're out... so i went online to check, and guess what, they're in stock in store! I guess they couldn't and won't give me the items for the discounted price when i ordered so they cancelled the whole in store pickup order. I haven't check my cc to see if they will refund me but i will give it a few days and will be keeping an eye for that cc refund. I have 3 other pickup order i placed in the last few days, let's see what will happen to those orders.
