Double Billing SOP at JoAnn
Attempted to order item via their website; malfunction would not allow me to load the shopping cart; called/spoke to representative who said I needed to use google chrome; attempted again with google chrome; same issue; called again; agent placed order for me; said would send email with info; never did; today find 2 identical charges appear on my credit card; called back and told that JoAnn's practice is to 1st send a "pending" charge; then later follow with the actual charge when the item(s) ship; followed up to 7 days later with a credit to offset the pending charge??? What the heck kind of unnecessary, archaic, double billing process is that?!? If a party had a limited credit balance on their card,they might be unable to use their card for days!?! Ridiculous. Won't shop there again.
