Double Billing SOP at JoAnn

Attempted to order item via their website; malfunction would not allow me to load the shopping cart; called/spoke to representative who said I needed to use google chrome; attempted again with google chrome; same issue; called again; agent placed order for me; said would send email with info; never did; today find 2 identical charges appear on my credit card; called back and told that JoAnn's practice is to 1st send a "pending" charge; then later follow with the actual charge when the item(s) ship; followed up to 7 days later with a credit to offset the pending charge??? What the heck kind of unnecessary, archaic, double billing process is that?!? If a party had a limited credit balance on their card,they might be unable to use their card for days!?! Ridiculous. Won't shop there again.

Where’s my yarn????

I ordered 14 skeins of yarn, all in stock according to their site. I received 4 skeins in one package a few days later. Another package was sent a day later and I got an email when to expect it. That was a week ago and still no yarn. A third shipment hasn’t been sent yet even though the web site still says the items are in stock. Come on! In this day and age it shouldn’t take over a week and a half to put 3 skeins of yarn in a box. I will never order from Joanns again. I’m hoping that someday I will receive my whole order but I’m beginning to lose hope.

If I could give a zero I would

If I could give a zero I would. I ordered a cricut air 2 bundle for 352 dollars. I got a cricut joy in the mail. They told me I would have to reorder the cricut air 2 bundle and that it may be awhile for them to send me a label to ship the cricut joy back. They then proceeded to say you can email us after you place the new order and we can make any price adjustments necessary. They should have sent me out the correct order and waited on the wrong order to come back instead of me ordering another product while waiting for my incorrect order to be returned to them. Will never shop Jo-Ann online again.

I love Jo-Ann's

I love Jo-Ann's, but several times I've ordered fabric and the order was cancelled because the fabric was out of stock was the reason I received. However, the last time I ordered my order was cancelled without explanation. I wanted to know why when the fabric was still in stock. I purchased the fabric for $7.19 per yard my order was cancelled because they increase it to $10 per yard after my order was confirmed. This is shady business and I thought more highly of Jo-Ann's than this. I see I was wrong. Shoppers beware they are deploying greedy tactics.

Employee compliments

I want to compliment two employees at the Joann store located at 1000 south central ave, Glendale CA. Both the manager Kenny and Janet are the nicest employees I’ve ever met. They’re very knowledgeable, attentive and patient I’ll continue shopping at their location for a long time.

Avoided all costs there are better online providers of anything you can get from Jo-Ann's

I love Joanne's they have a large selection friendly helpful staff and you can generally find what you need. If you're lucky enough to not have to go in on a weekend you can also get out of the store pretty quickly. Their online service is dreadful. They blame everything on Covid (shipping delays incorrect orders you name it) and yet they can't make their orders correct. I have had to order from them in order to protect my family three separate times and each order is incorrect. This time it got here I have spent three weeks alerting them that they sent me two balls of yarn of one color and one ball of yarn up another color so I can't finish my project and no one seems to give a damn. I would avoid their online ordering service at all costs.

Triple charged me for my order and wouldn't cancel my order

I love Joann's, but this past week made me never want to shop there again. I ordered 20 skeins of yarn through the app, put in my card information, and clicked submit. Usually I would get an email from them within the hour saying that my order was confirmed. Well two days pass and still nothing. I look at my debit card balance and it says I have three separate charges from them (they tripled my order). So I call them and they tell me that it was my fault because I "must've clicked 'Place Order' three separate times" (newsflash...I didn't do that). Anyways, here I am 3 days later *still* waiting for a tracking number for my order, almost $300 of pending charges on my account, and I (or Joann's apparently) can't do anything about it but just wait. This was definitely the last time I shop at Joann Fabrics. To anyone reading this: I recommend you shop elsewhere unless you want to be charged multiple times for your order.

I ordered 4 yards of a large print…

I ordered 4 yards of a large print fabric, and Joann shipped it in multiple pieces without giving me the option of cancelling the order in advance or giving me return options after the fact. This limits what I can use it for. They also censored my review where I alerted others to this practice.

I placed the order for curbside pick up…

I placed the order for curbside pick up My credit card was charged immediately. Then the order was canceled. This is within five minutes Of placeing the order. There was no record of my order at all except for the email I received with the order number on it. Did not refund my money. Place the order again but with shipping to Home. Cost me $5 more. No emails regarding the new order. No confirmation no shipping information. Nothing. I have to call my credit card company to dispute the charges. I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. They are absolutely the worst online service ever and I can’t say much about their stores either after visiting it the other day.

Jo-Ann online shopping

I used Jo-Ann online shopping. I was charged 2 .5 times the correct price. I see double charging has been an ongoing problem with Jo-Ann Online purchases. The color swatches are way off online so my fabrics didnt match which makes ordering online difficult at best. I canceled 1 of my 2 fabric choices and tried to reorder due to swatches being way off online. Clerk at Mansfield, Ohio Jo-Ann store could not even tell me how much the items were that she brought to curbside...said she didnt know. She was not interested in trying to help me resolve the double charge and made that very clear. JOANN STORES HAVE DISCONNECTED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBERS SO THE CUSTOMER REALLY IS STUCK HOLDING THE BAG WHEN THEY DOUBLE CHARGE. Customer service and billing problems are handled through email which is also not being answered in a timely manner. Not a positive experience. I would advise shopping elsewhere where you can talk to a customer service rep over the phone if you are double charged.

Worse experience ever

Worse experience ever. I have had one order over $1000.00 cancelled twice for no reason. Then, when i finally got it straight with customer service, they were only able to send $7.00 worth of merchandise because everything else was sold out. This was for a non profit for underserved kids. So sad that they couldn't deliver and i was counting on them.

I bought a tricycle from them through…

I bought a tricycle from them through their online site, that I found through random ads. After receiving It found out it was big for my son. The return and refund process was the worst nightmare I have ever faced. I went to one of their stores, where I was told to return it back to the company since it would be faster to get my money back. And also informed me they have stopped accepting the return paid through PayPal. I went back home, request a shipping label from them. It took two days to get that. Now I had to make a trip to ups to ship it. It has been two months now. I have been calling them frequently, at least once a week to check on my refund status. Finally, they told me it got manually processed today and will take 3-5 days to reflect on my Paypal. If anybody wants to go through this hassle then welcome to Joann.

I can't stand this app

I can't stand this app. It does not search very well. You can't search for availability at a specific store. Worst of all they have so many listings that are not available by shipping or in store. Even when I order and the app shows in stock.....it won't be in stock and then my order is not complete. I end up using this app only because my daughter lives near a store and can pick up for me. Joann should really revamp their app.

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible - “buy online pick up in store” is a total joke like everyone else here is saying. Spent over 2 hours trying FOUR different times to place my order and all kept getting cancelled. I’m done.

Soooooo.......

I ordered 5 yards of cord for a project with five other items, including 5 yards of a differing cord. I picked it up curbside. I received 2 yards and 3 inches, three inches of fray that was not taped. It was thrown in the bag and tangled with the other cord. Instead of telling me they didn't have the product and not charging my card, they chose this option. Now I have two yards of cord I can do nothing with!!!! I have spent hundreds of dollars at Jo-ann Stores. That is the last penny they will ever get from me. All orders have been sloppy, they say they will send and then cancel the item DAYS later, making it impossible to order things for one project and complete on time. Customer service offers no service.

Ordered fabric that was on sale

Ordered fabric that was on sale - minimum order was 2 yards - we ordered about 20 different colors at 2 yds each ........... computer accepted the order just fine - then it started after 3 days - the "ooops...not in stock" emails started - now it looks like we are going to get a total of 7 different 2 yard shipments - and lo and behold - there is a minor shipping charge for each one. If you want to compete with the Amazons ans On-lIne Walmart ordering - ya' all better step up your game, As it stand now, you don't have a chance - we will NEVER do business with you again - either on line or in store - very disappointed to say the least.

Customer service and online is horrible

I have done two different online order. The first one order wrong product. My fault. When I returned item at store not only did I loose $8 due to it being on sale in the last week but then I got the return on a gift card since it was an online order. Frustrating and waste of time. Then I did another three weeks ago. Charged twice once the day of then again when I picked up. Was told I had to email to get the first one refunded. Call was told 7 to 10 business days the return should be in my account. That was three weeks ago. Customer service has really gone down hill. Over the past 10 years. No compentaion offered for the troubles. Not even an apology. I am very upset at this entire situation. I will never shop Joann's online again. I have told all my neighbors and we are all shopping hobby lobby instead now. Congratulation Joann's you have lost lots of customers and more are leaving too.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE, Don't buy anything online from Jo-Ann, After repeated Emails from Joann's offering a 3D Printer on sale, I finally bought one and some printer filament for it. The filament was shipped in 2 days, but the Status on the order for the printer said in Process, a month later and several Emails to the support (support what a joke) email, they finally tell me that the Printer is Not in Stock. Why would they advertise and send me Emails to buy the thing, AND what a month to say is out of stock if they don't have it. To make it worse, it seems they are not going to sell this printer any more.
