Very poor service and still waiting forβ¦
Very poor service and still waiting for refund. Changed collection venue at short notice, delivered in error and failed to specify when booking that venue closed for returns at weekends. Customer service poor until I finally (after about 2 hours managed to find someone who understood the issue and he was excellent)
Late delivery, no refund.
The machine was cross hired through another supplier, I asked for the machine in the morning on Friday and it didnβt turn up until 16:40 that day, so I effectively lost 1 days hire Iβd paid for. I was lied to constantly by the supplier when I called up to get an ETA, first it was 10am, then 12:30, then 3pm. I called HSS and they assured me I would be refunded for that days hire. When it came to the collection day on Monday the supplier didnβt collect it, I called HSS and they chased them arranging for it to be collected on Wednesday. I then got a call on Tuesday by the driver saying he was there to collect it. I was at work so couldnβt do anything. I then received an email and charge for βfailed collectionβ. Again I called HSS, they eventually refunded the failed collection charge but still did not refund the lost days hire. Miraculously the person I spoke to had no knowledge of this there were βno notes on the systemβ. I offered to provide cctv footage to confirm delivery times etc but they wouldnβt accept this. HSS refused to refund that lost days hire.

Garden trellis etc
Ordered some garden trellis and sawn wood. Navigating site was easy as was placing and paying. Prices very competitive. Goods arrived oh so early two days later as per site. My only suggestion would be a text advising approx delivery time but Happy to recommend for others.

Brilliant driver ensured successful delivery
When the driver knocked on the door, it turned out the road was blocked with parked cars and he couldn't get round the square. So off we went to talk to the neighbours (not just me!). Three of them came out and moved their vehicles, and the truck was eased past the one remaining. The big bag was placed exactly where I wanted it. A friendly, competent driver who was very helpful in decided what was required and then actively bringing it about. Good stuff.

I waited in all day for my delivery
I waited in all day for my delivery. At 4pm I rang to find out where my item was & waited 25 x minutes on the phone line, to be told that my delivery had been cancelled. No notification whatsoever. I asked for compensation for the wafted day, but was told that the company dies NOT give compensation. I will NOT be buying from them again!

AVOID! Poor service, failed to deliver and struggling to get a refund!
Ordered a sink, given invoice but no delivery information. Nothing delivered, chased via customer service but keep getting queue automated email. Phone number doesn't work. Money taken, no item and no contact! Disgrace! Need to find a way to contact them to get my refund! Or go to a store! Avoid at all costs! Poor service. How can a company like HSS take payment but not deliver and make contact after order email! AVOID ordering from them!

Excellent company, have ordered a few times and never let me down. Good quality excellent price and great delivery guys. Will be ordering more fence panels again soon. This is how a company should be run!

Unmatched Customer Service
Phoned up to enquire about a jackhammer as I have never used one before, i spoke to Jenny in the Hayes branch who was very friendly and helpful, who then put me touch with Tasha Line in the Twickenham branch who was a pleasure to talk to and had great product knowledge on future DIY projects I have planned. Due to such great customer service by both Jenny & Tasha, I will always exclusively hire products from HSS only, thank you both once again for such excellent and efficient customer service and a special thank you to Tasha who went above and beyond whilst juggling customers, still managed to help me with all of the information I needed.
