Useless
Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.
Home Bargains has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous
I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.
No school cakes or giant monster munch. Absolutely raging. Not acceptable. This place is terrible.

Kendal branch. Asked where a certain item was. Dismissed with a wave, and done there by the nappies. By which she meant incontinence pads. Such lack of what they sell and dismissive attitude is shocking. I informed head office. Having got there response it obviously comes from the top. And to the man whose disabled son was refused access to the toilet I would contact a disability charity and ask them to act on your behalf. Seems to us customers are last on the list. Do as we are going to do and use another store.

Dear Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your Ivy Bridge Retail Park store located at Twickenham Rd, Twickenham TW7 7DY. During our visit, a male staff member informed my son, who is disabled and has a life shortening syndrome, Autism, ADHD, PTSD, Severe alarming Disability, Global Developmental Delay, Chronic Constipation, Double Incontinence to name but a few days things, that there are no customer toilets available and that we would not be allowed to use them. I explained that I was aware of the absence of customer toilets, but in previous instances, we were permitted to use them in times of urgent need. However, despite explaining the urgency of the situation, the staff member continued to insist that there was a delivery to be put away and therefore access to the toilets was denied. I understand that deliveries can pose safety concerns, but there were seven staff members present, none of whom were actively managing the delivery, and there were no obstructions in the way. The staff could have easily escorted my companion to the toilet. What troubled me further was the staff member's reaction. They seemed to find it amusing that they had refused access, even laughing about it. Personally, I do not find this situation humorous in the slightest. I am requesting that this incident be investigated and that appropriate action be taken. This should include training for both staff and managers on when to allow access to toilets for disabled individuals. Additionally, I would appreciate a review of your current policies regarding customer toilet access in urgent situations. It is crucial to ensure that all customers, especially those with disabilities, are treated with respect and dignity. Unfortunately, the situation escalated to the point where, upon leaving the store, my son was unable to reach the car in time and soiled and wet themselves in front of others. This was incredibly distressing, and my heart broke for them. I look forward to your prompt response to this complaint.

The shop itself is fine & well stocked with a great variable selection of products. However, the Huge size cardboard box used for the Disappointing amount of found ( roughly filled a little over 1/2 way) washing powder product is wasteful and deceiving in my opinion to the expectations when opening up for subsequent use. Tiger Lily Lotus flower washing powder in pink box 75 washes. I looked to attach photos but can't at the moment see this option. The reason why posted here and not directly with the actual product is because the purchase was made at the Northwich Home Bargains shop and they must have quality control methods in place.

Fort William basically i got treated like i was passing forged notes because I'm from Newcastle. Watched the 3 people infront of me use £20 notes to pay for their shopping no check of notes as soon as I said hello the woman behind the till pulled a face & was very cold towards me after being chatty to the people infront then proceeded to check my £20 notes very carefully, absolutely disgusted by this treatment. 100% will never shop at home bargains again
