I’ve left it a month or so before leaving this review. Overall great service. I worked with Kevin over email support who went above and beyond to help me get set up and get the most out of my speeds. I’ve downgraded from Virgin Fibre and turns out I really didn’t need all those extra Mbps speeds. I’m on an average of 30Mbps now which is more than enough for 2 of us in the house working from home on Zoom, gaming, streaming, etc. Really happy I made the switch!
Freedomsat organised my switchover to a different satellite service very smoothly. I was well informed before I made my choice and everything was organised. I did have a bit of difficulty with the company they chose to install it however - the appointment was cancelled twice.
We were contacted by Bentley Walker as the Hylas 2 satellite for our Avanti subscription was apparently being decommissioned within one month. We were told that we would have to migrate to a new Viasat subscription and that a new dish and hardware would be required. The setup would cost us £100, and the new subscription would be an extra £6 a month on our invoice. An appointment was arranged for an engineer from Satworks to remove the old dish and install the new one, as well as a new router. The engineer turned up a day later than agreed, and could not complete the work as he apparently could not find a signal with the new dish. We were left with no means of internet for two weeks, having to rely on a mobile broadband connection to run a business, which was incredibly frustrating. Eventually the Satworks engineer attended and set up the dish, but instead of taking away the old dish and hardware, we were told by Bentley Walker that we needed to make our own arrangements to dispose of the equipment at our own time and cost. Bentley Walker have agreed to credit our account for the disruption and have since made arrangements for the old dish to be collected.
We had to renew the kit but the team were on it - communication was great, Becca in the office was really helpful on the install date and Paul the engineer did a great job, helping out my Dad above and beyond!
Customer service was absolutely brilliant other than I was told it would be unlimited data usage which I believe is not the case , no complaints other than that …… so far so good 👍

Recently changed satellite, with freedomsat and had a new dish and modem installed by their very efficient installer Eamonn. The installation was fast and with no issues. Great Company and very helpful when you call them and need help with something. I totally recommend freedomsat

Excellent service ,and the engineer who fitted it was extremely professional and worked through the rain and wind and so far it’s working very well
The internet service only worked steady for 10 days. We were told a piece of equipment needed replacing. When it arrived it made no difference. I spent 55.00 speaking with staff on my mobile trying to find a solution. In the end we cancelled our subscription. All in all it's been an expensive waste of money and time.

Switchover didn’t happen without numerous calls. Staff handled my issues perfectly.
Changeover of satellite suppliers was carried out very quickly considering the sudden news that the previous satellite had to be closed down within weeks.

Having used Freedomsat for over 12 years to receive Broadband in the depths of the Scottish Highlands I am sorry now that I am closing my contract. They have always been helpful, even attentive and professional and came in the scene when it was impossible to get broadband another way. They basically saved many small businesses in remote areas. When I have needed to change the parameters of the contract, it has happened seamlessly and as I had asked. I am leaving them simply because fibre has arrived up here and although broadband will be provided by a faceless, unfriendly company, it may save this pensioner some pennies. I wish them well with their new system.
