Overall good service
Used Enact to remortgage. Pretty smooth process, kept informed throughout. Got a response via the messaging option when needed and got through on the phone every time I called. Would use Enact again.
They were tremendously helpful throughout

Initially thought the service was good however it took significantly longer than expected and Enact were slow to update on what info was required, when it was finally completed they never sent any documents which means I am unable to add my partner to the ground rent and service charge accounts. Have attempted to contact several times both via email and phone and they say they will send but never do. This has been going on several months and is getting a bit silly.

Slow and incompetent. Takes ages for them to reply to messages, totally archaic and pretty much every response is a robotic "computer says no"! The delays on their part have cost me about £1200 extra in interest charges and i have no idea how much longer it will take to complete. Same story as most of the other low star reviews. Wouldn't have used them if the lender didn't insist.

I am currently in the process of a remortgage and Enact are the conveyancing solicitors. They've requested a document be sent back to them, which can't be uploaded on their enact tracker portal system because its larger than 5mb apparently. So I've been emailing it as a scanned document attachment. I've emailed it on their email addresses 3 times, only for them to say they can't see the email each time! I was advised today to send by post, but my current mortgage lender will be taking the mortgage payment on 1st June now and its on a standard variable rate, so this failure of systems and incompetence on enact's part, will now incur a cost of almost £1000 to me. I've tried stressing that "I'm going to be paying a huge amount of money to my current mortgage lender, please can you sort out your processes." But it fell on deaf ears. I tried to ask about how I can send a complaints email through, but I prevented from knowing thus and told it will be escalated once my case completes! I have found a complaints email on enact website and have sent a complaint on there. But this is such an incompetent conveyancing team. And its unfair that the cost will fall on me because their technical processes are so poor.

We recently remortgaged our house and the whole process was made so much easier by Enact, especially we could download and upload all the documents online on their portal. we will definitely use them again & also recommend them to our family and friends.

Following from a previous awful review yesterday I was contacted by a Manager, Emma who reassured me that my case was being closely monitored and that they would help it progress. Yet again I received no further updates, messages I sent this morning were ignored so I was forced to speak to someone via the chat desk. I have been chasing Enact for a week for confirmation that they had received my redemption statement, which would enable me to complete on 02/6 (imperative as I, like many others will face a charge of over £300 in interest if I slip onto the SVR). They assured me a request was sent on 19/05 and basically blamed the Co-Op Bank for not sending it. I have spoken to the Co-Op 3 times, who were also not terribly helpful but they have finally confirmed that they have never received a request full stop! This despite Enact assuring me that a request was sent on 19/5 and a chaser request was sent yesterday! They did however confirm they'd had a chaser this morning (although can you call it that if you've never requested one in the first place?!) but that they couldn't do anything about it because Enact had provided no email address to send it to!!! The sheer incompetence of this company is BREATHTAKING and if it's not incompetence then it is deception. Luckily at this point I had already asked Enact for their email address so could provide it and the Co-Op kindly sent it whilst I waited. However, still no response to my messages, chat desk can't confirm they've received it but will 'pass it onto my case manager' (who has still not spoken to us once in over a month of dealing with them). I'm not hopeful that we will be able to complete and I will therefore lose nearly a year's worth of what I'm due to save by moving. If you are remortgaging to save yourself money then seriously do not consider using Enact- the likelihood is you will end up out of pocket, doing most of the work yourself and extremely stressed.

Professional with matters handled quickly, generally a very good experience regardless of whom we spoke with on many occasions. Efficient and polite company to work with
