Sold a car with cracked windshield.

wouldve rated higher but the car has a crack/chip in the windshield, small piece dangling underneath of car, aswell as my paperwork being messed up so it added to the process. the small piece i can fix, but my windshield? they refuse to fix, told me i can trade in the car for a different one etc etc. ive had this car less than 24hrs. The only reason i saw it was because its now daylight and i cleaned all of that horrific foggy stuff off the windows they had all over the place. called the coverage place i have my stuff through for the extra warranties i purchased and also nothing. if i want it fixed i have to go through my insurance i just got for it, i just spent $3k on it as a downpayment and spent days in the process for getting the car. Wouldve seen it sooner but again didnt see it until AFTER that nasty stuff on the windshield was cleaned off. Would use as a last resort to buy a car, but first choice? far from at this point. Very frustrating that they just sell you a car, its like they dont even double check the car before presenting it to you. i point out the hanging piece while at the dealership, THEY HAD NO CLUE IT WAS THERE. not very thorough in the inspection part apparently. The sales people just try to close the sale once you hit a certain point.

Absolute nightmare

Absolute nightmare. Found a car online, they told me I was approved so I went by Lyft to the dealership to fill out the paperwork and pick up the vehicle on Friday. Although I had bank statements from August, September and October, was refused the vehicle because I didn't bring the November statement. I asked Drive Time to hold the vehicle and they refused, then had to pay for a Lyft back home. Called and made appointment to return Monday, took another Lyft over only to be told they had sold the car we were trying to buy. They then brought out a vehicle with over 88,000 miles on it. Cash only then took my bank statement for "verification"(?) and then disappeared in the back for several minutes. When he was told we were leaving, he snapped at my brother and was rude to me when he came out and told me the 88,000 mile Kia was "the cheapest car in the metroplex" and any other vehicle would "be over $100" more a month than the vehicle I originally tried to buy. I refused and had to money on a fourth Lyft ride. Went in in good faith and all I got was the run around.

Sales guy

The sales guy was ok..felt little rushed and I felt like he didn't want to work with me... Only looked at one car and I mentioned that I liked one card that was out front and he showed that one.... waiting for sales guy for over 45 minutes...

Well I took my car to an inspection at Mavis Tire . They told me rotation were not being done cause my tires need rotating. I just got the car and I got to get work done on it. I also think tires need balancing cause I feel something in the steering wheel at a certain speed . I didn't take it out on the interstate during test drive to discover this. I went on the route they told me to drive.

My Rep had to do everything

My Rep had to do everything, from answering calls to going from one desk to another , while still trying to complete my deal and get my contract together. Seemed ridiculous, especially when you had other members who instead of sitting around at their desk , could’ve help assist potential buyers when they walked in the door, instead of my Rep having to take care of everyone.

Did the application online and was approved. I pick out my card The car note was $345.00 a month. set up a appointment and drove all the way to the location on telegraph. Once a arrived they ran my credit again after I gave them the print out showing my approval status. Once I arrived the payment double and I was told I needed a cosigner. Left and went down the street and brought a car keeper and a lower car payment, with no cosigner. sorry but not sorry. The advertising is a lie.

We like Drive Time

All around good people, I have no complaints. Every aspect of purchasing a vehicle is in our control, this isn't available at a lot of dealerships.

Great experience from start to finish!

Great experience from start to finish. Did lots of research on the vehicles I was interested in and finally had time to stop in. A quick phone call prior to coming with Brian answers all my questions. Couldn’t be happier with the experience, very easy, very friendly staff with zero pressure

Don’t ever buy a vehicle from DriveTime…

Don’t ever buy a vehicle from DriveTime Car Sales as they do not thoroughly inspect the vehicles they sell. The battery on my son’s car died in 4 months and they say they don’t care. This company has terrible, terrible customer service and will hang the phone up on you when you call customer service or client relations. They do not inspect their vehicles thoroughly and don’t replace batteries when they obtain used vehicles to resell.
