This was a waste of time that I knew…

This was a waste of time that I knew from the beginning. I was told all these different things and when I get there it's something else. On top of that I filled out the form online and told them what I was putting down. When I get there they don't even have nothing in that category. I called before I even went to this location and was told everything is good just come in. I payed a Uber twice to get there and back when I could of been notified before hand or told on the phone. This drive time needs to get better with knowing information for them and the customers. I'll never go back to any drive time for this matter. When I walked in I knew it was going to be some bull shit. Not a good company at all and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. If I must say this we as the worst experience ever trying to buy a car. I see this company is not for the customers. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

Second purchase same quality experience …

This is the second we have purchased from DriveTime. The service is amazing, the team is cheerful, friendly and super helpful. They know how to meet expectations. Having purchased from other dealerships, the biggest difference for me was the “no pressure” atmosphere. The best part was the great interest rate we got after paying off our first car!

A Disgraceful Experience

On April 28, 2025, I purchased a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta from the Covington Pike location. I made my first payment on May 30, 2025 from that day forward all types of lights (air bag error light, explanation point light, when turning the wheel it made clicking noise and my vehicle was stalling to excellerate) on the dashboard come on. On June 9th, I made an appointment at Pep Boys with Silver Rock. Pep Boys advised that my vehicle needed to be serviced at Volkswagen dealership. Pep Boys was a disgrace with customer service and all. I spoke with Drive Time customer relations we agreed to take vehicle to Volkswagen dealership. I spoke with the service tech, he informed me that the vehicle incorrect parts on the vehicle. Whatever service that was supposed to be completed. It was half done or not done at all. As of today, June 29th my vehicle is STILL at Volkswagen and the service center has sent three (3) invoices to Drive Time customer relations with part numbers, cost of parts, pictures of the parts and why the services are needed. Customer relations keeps denying the claim saying they need more information. When you purchase a vehicle Drive Time advise you to purchase Silver Rock (warranty) which covers nothing. Everything you bring to warranty or Drive Time customer relations, it's what they do NOT cover. At this point I am done with Drive Time. Keep your hard earned in your pocket.

Drivetime are con artists

I bought a 2021 GMC Terrain from Drivetime in Augusta, GA on May 10th 2025. This was a big investment for me and a difficult decision to make. I needed a reliable vehicle for work and general transportation for my kids and myself. I took the leap trusting Drivetime was selling me a sound vehicle and had done their due diligence in performing a pre purchase inspection. On June 18th just 39 days after purchasing this vehicle and (still making payments actually having just made the first payment after initial down payment) I was left stranded when the transmission wouldn't shift. I contacted SilverRock who I pay for the warranty with. I got the vehicle to a transmission shop over an hour away that is in network that night. The following day they notified me that the transmission fluid was completely black and full of metal shavings. For any remotely qualified mechanic checking the fluids would be part of an inspection. When I voiced that to Drivetime they only said we just check for active mechanical failures. This was an active mechanical failure as the internal parts of the transmission had already begun breaking down. They either didn't inspect or more likely chose to sell it anyways. As of today the 29th of June still no vehicle it has been 10 days without the GMC I purchased and am paying for. SilverRock wanted to source their own transmission to replace the current damaged one and after several days found one that will be delivered to the shop this coming week. Being a holiday week upcoming they notified me the car most likely won't be finished until the following week. After the transmission is replaced there is still further diagnosis to be done for other strange noises that developed. I'm without the GMC I'm paying for 20+ days maybe even a month or more. The warranty only covers 10 days on a rental at 30 a day. When I asked Drivetime if they would cover the additional days or provide some type of options or assistance I was told they will do nothing absolutely nothing at all. No rental assistance, no return, no trade, no real apology from Drivetime Augusta or corporate customer relations. The only assistance I'm getting is through SilverRock who I pay for the warranty with. No attempt at all to do the right thing in any way shape or form. No attempt at all to show any concern for a consumer and human being a single father working class citizen who trusted their company spent thousands of hard earned dollars and was conned by Drivetime. This was a con in fact because no attempt to rectify selling a lemon was made.

Exceptional service

I have to say, this was the most pleasant car buying experience I ever had. Everyone was so helpful and felt like a team. The offices (El Cajon and Torrance) were conveniently located close to the freeways. The service was so friendly. Joseph at the Torrance e location was so helpful and made a good experience great! Bravo to DriveTime! Already recommending to friends

Good afternoon I was a cosigner on a vehicle we purchased at your dealership and the vehicle has been nothing but trouble. I went back to the dealership and talked to the general manager and ask if we could get another vehicle he said he could not do it. He said if we wanted to return the vehicle it would be a volunteer repossession and I said I'm not going to trash my credit. I'm very disappointed in your service.

This place is terrible

This place is terrible, yeah they might be nice people working but they not help out with anything when it comes to your car no sensors, lights, even tires. Never received a working key fob to my car, gave me one that was not connected and they said “look up a YouTube video” on how to connect it. You have to pay with cash and can’t use and credit.

I had a fantastic experience with DriveTime thanks to Ayesha, who provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. She was professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Ayesha took the time to answer all of my questions, explained the entire process clearly, and made me feel confident and supported throughout. My Personal experience

The people at the property helping out are great! Only problem was that ones I drove home with the car. Car started to overheat! Next day I had to wait to call DriveTime to tell me what’s to be done next. Took the car to the shop and currently waiting what’s need to be fixed. Pretty bummed out about the first drive home with car problems.

Will never go there again or recommend…

Will never go there again or recommend them to anyone, got a vehicle from them, first they only have a 3 day return but the vehicle broke down on me on day 31. Called them took it to the shop they told me too, then they say it’s not covered under the warranty and had to pay 1000 in repairs for a car I haven’t even made the first payment on yet. Straight lemon.

You should inform your customer as to…

You should inform your customers as to what a simple interest loan is. You should also inform your customers when they are making the kind of loan whereby they are UNDERNEATH the loan at the time they are driving off of the lot. By the way " underneath" means that the amount of the total loan AND repayment EXCEEDS the total value of the the vehicle making refinance IMPOSSIBLE. Your loans are predatory. Your customers need to know that.

I was desperately in need of a vehicle when I came to Drive Time in West Columbus Ohio. Tyler P. Was my salesman and he was more than attentive and made the process extremely easy and done in an efficient amount of time he answered all my questions explain everything more than thoroughly. He was beyond professional, and I really really am grateful to him for the wonderful experience.! he is a rockstar and literally deserves an increase in pay!!!
