I bought a car on 2/06

I bought a car on 2/06. Drove car for few days. Car had been broke down since 3/10 and still in a shop. Very unsatisfied. And still paying for a car that I don’t have or drive .

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. I recently purchased a vehicle from Drivetime. My sales person Brennan did not give me my full contract(which I received by email way after the fact) nor did he let me know that we actually had a 5 day or 300 mile policy return. I had the vehicle for 8 days when the engine light came on. I called Drivetime IMMEDIATELY and was jerked around for a few days about getting in for a diagnostic. Finally got diagnostic just to be told by the warranty company that's supposed to help me NO, they wouldn't fix it. I was told take the vehicle back because at that time the engine light wasn't on. I tried to give vehicle back and was told that I could surrender the vehicle but I will be responsible to pay the balance of vehicle. I still haven't had the vehicle a full 30 days yet. I am currently seeking legal advice to see what can be done because Drivetime broke the contract first. My warranty company is put there to take care of issues with the vehicle right? So for you to deny to fix a problem with the vehicle and i haven't had it for 30 days and then to take the vehicle back until the problem gets worse is not the type of people I would like to do business with. So BEWARE they are scamming good hard working people with bad vehicles and bad service.

Drivetime LIES and is DECEPTIVE

Drive time LIES and is DECEPTIVE. I applied online for a truck located in Sacramento. I was approved. Or so the website said I was. Then I was contacted by the dealership in Sacramento. I asked if I could send them my information to complete the financing before I came up there. That way I could just fly up and pick up the vehicle and drive back home. I wanted to make sure that if I flew up there I wouldn’t get stuck there. I was told as long as I have my ID, recent paycheck stub, insurance, and down payment, that I was approved, so just to come to the dealership with the information and pick up the truck.Im fact the man I spoke to said this exactly “You’re already approved, so come get the truck” I booked a flight.the day before my flight, II was contacted by the dealership here in Las Vegas and was told to go into the dealership here and bring my ID, recent paycheck stub, Ian’d insurance information them I could reserve the vehicle so it wouldn’t be sold before I flew up to Sacramento to pick it up. I took everything they asked for to the dealership, I gave them my ID, and recent paycheck stub. I had my insurance information and down payment with me. Them they told me they could not approve my purchase. So I have purchased a plane ticket, which I cannot get refunded. Had I flow to Sacramento to get the truck I was told I was already approved for, I would’ve been stuck with no vehicle and no return flight home. They COMPLETELY LIED. They said in order to approve me I would have to give them bank statements showing deposits in the exact amount of my paycheck, because I work for a small company. Hello. I live in Las Vegas. I cash my check at a casino. I sit down after I cash my check and have a drink at the bar and usually play $20 in the slot machine. I have never made a deposit for the exact amount of my paycheck. I don’t think I’ve ever left the casino with the exact amount of my paycheck in my pocket. Besides that. II BROUGHT THEM THE INFORMATION THEY ASKED FOR. EVERYTHING THEY SAID I MEEDED. THEY SAID AS LONG AS I HAD THAT INFORMATION I WAS APPROVED. BUT THEY LIED. I GAVE THEM WHAT THEY SAID TO BRING IN ORDER TO BE APPROVED THEN I WAS NOT APPROVED. THEY ARE LIARS AND ARE DECEPTIVE. And tomorrow morning when the Attorney Generals Office is open I will be reporting this company for their deceptive trade practices. I will also be filing complaints with the Consumer Affairs Division, the Federal Trade Commmision, and, the Better Business Bureau.and anyone else that I can file a complaint with. I will also be contacting an attorney to discuss how I can recover the money Ive lost by purchasing a plane ticket and taking the time off work to go and pick up the truck I was told I was approved for. Then I was not approved for. TO ANYOME READING THIS. DONOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM DRIVETIME. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE LIARS AND WILL DECEIVE YOU.

My sales Rep Summer was so friendly and down to earth. She made the visit pleasant and I was in and out of there. The other staff members were very nice as well. Go by and check them out.

Not an ideal situation turned blessing!

I went into buying a car knowing I had bad credit, a limited down payment as well as how much I could afford monthly, but no idea what type. I searched between 2/3 Alabama locations. Visited both to test drive several. In the nearly 4 week search, I had some pretty bad test drives, good ones & multiple people helping at different times. The vehicle I walked out with is hands down amazing! Great year, make, no damage, looks & feels like I purchased right off the lot brand new. Take your time, be patient & things will work out in time. Luckily, the manager, Dakota, had been through hearing ne say over & over again that I couldn't finagle anywhere. Not on the payment, down payment, pricing or make. I had a vehicle picked but it was needing a small repair that they sent it off to have fixed. Even though I had it picked out, they received a new delivery the next day, but he reached out to tell me about it. I went that evening, test drove it & fell in love! It ended up being a much better choice than what I had picked. Make nice with these people, be strong on what you wants or needs. This experience turned out to be a huge blessing & I only have them to thank for it by continuing to think about my situation! I definitely recommend DriveTime even when you think you have no other choice. Other than the vehicles not having any certain "point" inspections before they are delivered, you automatically get a 30 day/1,500 mile warranty to have it checked out anywhere you choose. Take the chance!

We use the South County location

We use the South County location. Tony my sales rep was amazing. He discussed everything with us went over everything with us did a thorough inspection of the car everything that he was supposed to do very friendly very helpful it was the easiest process and the fastest process that we have ever done. We will definitely be using drive time again and we will be telling everybody about the South County location to go see Tony and the rest of the staff was very nice as well.

I wasn’t able to ‘test drive’ any…

I wasn’t able to ‘test drive’ any vehicles at the Fresno location because I have a breathalyzer so the salesman had to drive the car for me & I had to go based on his opinion about how the car drove while I was sitting in the passenger seat. I got my breathalyzer put into this new car from my old car I was trading in as I decided to go with his opinion and once I had it in and I was able to drive it i immediately noticed a shifting problem so I knew it was the transmission. I called the Fresno location to let them know and all they could do was point me to call silver Rock. I paid $300 to put the device into this car which I never got to drive and if I wanted to switch back to my car I traded in I would have to pay another $300 to do so. Anywho I took the car to Nissan the manufacturer the next day to have it tested out and sure enough it has issues. Not sure how they could sell cars like that but not a happy customer at all

Awesome experience

Josue was our salesman. He did a superb job at making the whole process easy for us! He got us approved for 0 down which I never thought could happen. He didn't pressure us at all and was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because when I first missed their phone call, I called back and asked for Quinn. Her response to me was "what, did I call you or something"...to me this response was unprofessional. Then when I called to give praise to management about josue, I spoke to destiny who said "thank you" and hung up on me.

I don't think anyone enjoys having to spend the money on a new or used vehicle, but DriveTime makes it more pleasurable. I had the best experience with Shane and the rest of the employees there, they don't make you feel like you are just a number, they make you feel important. Frankly, they help ease your mind. I appreciated the way they made me feel and the tremendous help that they offered. Thank you so much! This was in Fort Wayne, IN.
