Usually I do this the other way round and discover too late after placing the order and it’s been a disaster. However Donald Russell Christmas sales magazine popped in letter box. OMG it looks delicious. Good quality and can be delivered. Drooled over the magazine for many evenings jotting down what I thought would make a perfect Xmas day and Boxing Day. My first negative that I noticed was it was frozen. This then made me look up trust pilot prior to ordering. So glad I did . So many negative reviews. Poor quality,non existent customer service and these comments are from some of their regular customers. Now the bells are truly ring but not Xmas bells more alarm bells. I’m disappointed but I will not be placing an order. Xmas is too special to be wasted. And Donald Russell are not a cheap option. Merry Xmas everyone

Great quality meat at reasonable prices. Delivered quickly and extremely well packaged. Can be transferred straight to the freezer or thawed and eaten. I have tried several products from Donald Russell and all have been excellent. I will certainly be back for more. Very well done!

Very straightforward process from ordering to delivery. I have used this company on and off for a number of years and the quality is outstanding. There are a number of outstanding British companies and Donald Russell is one of them.

Hello,As a regular customer for 10 years or more l am sad writing this negative review.I ordered £100+meat,ready meals,desserts beginning of September with earliest delivery 16th October. By mid morning phoned to ask where deliver was.On its way lm told..Phoned at 1pm and told it will be delivered mid afternoon.Come 4pm phoned again and told address label had come off package and box damaged....so no order today!!!Surely a courtesy call telling me the situation wasn't too much to ask.My biggest gripe is the order costs were taken out the day l ordered but l was told l would be refunded in 7 working days. So today off to butchers to buy meat l ordered for a dinner lve arrranged and supermarket desserts.Sorry but this customer service is not good enough.A angry and rather sad customer.

Generally good quality products, well packaged and delivered as requested. Portion sizes are a little small though. Daily emails with offers become tiring, especially as some of them aren't the good deal that they claim to be.

The quality of your products together with delivery experience has been excellent and warrants a 5 star rating over our 4 years + experience. However ever since you upgraded the computer system I have found it impossible to pay by card at checkout. I have to pay over the telephone and find it most frustrating. I wonder if the reason has something to do with the fact that I do not have a mobile telephone and authentication cannot be done by text message. I do however have a card reader. Your system simply tells me "something has gone wrong". After I have placed the order on the phone I receive a number of e-mails telling me I have left something behind. This usually stops when the order is delivered. Maybe your IT people do not believe there are people who can live without a mobile!

Excellent selection of quality meats and menu items which is always delivered perfectly and delicious to eat.

I have been buying from Donald Russell for around 5 years. I have never had a bad experience with them and their products are delicious. A favourite of ours is their ribeye steaks and the chateaubriand, absolutely mouth watering! I 100% recommend Donald Russell!

Have used this company a number of times and have been excellent apart from one occasion when they were trialing new packaging which really did not work as food was defrosted but straight away the problem was sorted by being offered a full refund or replacement which is what I chose. I have just had the misfortune to try MEATSUPERMARKET the packaging was an absolute joke the beef Wellingtons x4 turned up completely defrosted and covered in blood I emailed them within 10 minutes to be told the following day that beef wellingtons can not be refrozen so they have gone in the bin!! No apologies so my advice go with what you know

Always have a positive result when purchasing from Donald Russell. The variety of products is good along with the quality. The delivery process has improved over the years so nothing to complain about here.
