Excellent company who tries hard to deliver a good service.The phone staff are so helpful and friendly. Mostly the meat is good too.

Terribly disappointed in mini beef wellingtons. Although pastry was lovely light and crispy the cube of meat was minute, tough and tasteless. Certainly not worth money. Will not be recommending to anyone

This was possibly the best Beef Wellington I have ever tasted! We will absolutely be ordering again.

Have used Donald Russell for many years with food being of excellent quality. Delivery was a day late by DHL but due to the good packing arrangements was still frozen!! Donald Russell were aware and replied promptly but all good.

Sorry but I wasn’t impressed with any of my order. As for the IRISH beef and not Scottish, I’m disgusted. For this reason I won’t be buying again.

Ordered turkey crown with extras. Arrived when ordered, able to freeze. Enjoyed the turkey, the sausages, and the veg. Still got some in freezer. Good value for money.

I like it when a company delivers as advised on time, product was perfectly packed. Unfortunately only tried the pies before the travelling for family visits over Christmas. On our return home something had gone wrong with the freezer and all that delicious looking meat was ruined, green and mouldy, bitter shock and total disappointment bit the bullet and ordered once again, Expecting delivery today hopefully we will be able to eventually sample the meats. A first class experience from ordering to delivery. Website easy to use, we got regular updates, and the beef was expertly packed in a chilled polystyrene box. The joint cooked to our preferred rare state by following the enclosed instructions. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely use Donald Russell again, although we don't normally eat a lot of meat. This was a really special occasion.

I would love to comment on the quality of their food but sadly, I didn’t receive it. I ordered my New Year choice for delivery on 30.12.23, on the date mentioned I looked at the tracking option on the DHL website only to find it wouldn’t be delivered until 02/01/24. I couldn’t contact DHL so sent them an email but, I guess the office was closed. I then sent two emails to Donald Russell before receiving a telephone number to contact them on. They were very apologetic and refunded my money but, although DHL had failed to deliver I also think the onus falls on the supplier for not using a more reliable service over the holiday period, particularly as the goods were frozen.

Fabulous service, beautiful food delivered with care and on time. Ordered mid-December, delivered a few days later as arranged… cooked and eaten on New Year’s Day… absolutely succulent. Delicious food as always from DR.

As someone who doesn't like chicken or turkey I was astounded to have enjoyed the Cockerill Crown as much as I did. It could not have been better. cooked wonderfully. The gammon joint was superb - took me back 65 years!!! the perfect piece of meat fit for the Christmas table.

We ordered the beef wellington for our christmas day and it was delicious! Could have been a little more done in the middle for me so I would add 5 mins to the cooking time and maybe another 5 to the resting time, but it did mean I could reheat the leftover meat in gravy the next day without over cooking it! It came frozen and was delivered on the day I requested - can't fault the service and product - 5 star - we'll be back!

Absolutely delicious Beef WellIngton for Xmas day treat instead of turkey. It is always a bit of a gamble as to what’s inside the pastry when you haven’t cooked from scratch but nothing to worry about here, very generous fillet of beef and balanced amount of mushroom wrapped around, all enveloped with a perfect puff pastry with beautiful crisscross. Will defo buy again.

Pigs in Blankets ordered for Christmas were simply awful; cheap spongy sausage; very fatty bacon. Just dreadful. The dog, however, disagrees with this review, and he did end up having most of it.

I ordered a Large Beef Wellington for our family Christmas Dinner and it was superb!! We were concerned that we were in Glasgow and how the Wellington would travel and should not have worried. It arrived by courier on date agreed and was in sealed polystyrene container with dry ice packaging and it was still frozen. The beef Wellington was the star of our Christmas Dinner with everyone wanting more 👌 Will definitely order again!!

Fantastic service including delivery. Quality of food was 10 out of 10 We had Beef Wellington Christmas Eve Went down a storm. Thankyou made cooking another meal easy.

Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the duck I ordered for Christmas, quite small, no flavour and barely enough to feed two. I had expected a much better taste than the mass produced supermarket ducks and more meat. Thank goodness it was only the two of us !
