I found all the items I ordered to be of fantastic quality , great value for money and very tasty. Great range of items . Nothing I received disappointed . Fantastic customer service very helpful. Delivered promptly and everything was well packaged and no damage . I would have no hesitation in recommending so much so I have ordered again. My go to butchers for meat and desserts.
First order after a recommendation. Prawns very good. Smoked salmon good. Smoked mackerel very small. Confit duck legs OK but none available at special offer price. Only 4 available on their own and 4 as part of a 'meal deal'. This included roast potatoes (that I can make myself) and 2 boxes of mixed green vegetables. These boxes had been packed at the bottom and so both were broken and shards of plastic were mixed in with the veg. When I reported this I was not offered a replacement or a refund, just a credit on my 'next order'. After this experience I doubt there will be one. I intend to send photographs of the contents of my box to a consumer programme for their opinion.
The Beef wellington was AMAZING everyone said so. I am literally looking for who I can invite over to dinner so I can eat it again. It all came really well preserved, packaging was premium honestly I cant complain about anything I ordered. Watch out for the dry ice though I didn't read all the stuff properly and slightly burnt my fingers but that's on me and the nature of dry ice haha. Perfecto!

Delivery without a hitch. Beef Wellington for Boxing Day dinner really hit the mark. It was delicious, cooked as per the instructions and came out perfect. Easily served 4 with generous portions.

Fantastic meat and meals at a great price! I've ordered a few times from Donald Russell and cannot fault the quality. My only gripe was the polystyrene packaging, which is slowly being phased out for more sustainable packaging. Excellent all round!
We ordered the beef wellington Christmas meal. The order arrived as was arranged in an impressively well-packed case, ensuring that everything was still properly frozen. All the condiments to go with the beef were as delicious as the Wellington itself. We were very impressed and it made our Christmas a real succes. The one ‘negative’ comment I have is that the sausages are absolutely NOT how we like ours, so this is one thing we will not order again. However, the confit of duck and the Alpine fries will be a constant in our house. They are absolutely delicious! Many thanks.
Delicious steaks as always. The service is so reliable and convenient. Packed well and it works out as rather good value! Will definitely buy from them again. We tend to do a few orders a year to keep our freezer stocked with excellent quality meat. The peppercorn sauce was a new addition this order
The carrier eventually delivered my order 3 days late of target and the contents had thawed. I contacted Donald Russel on Monday morning (yesterday) and a complete replacement order has just arrived at 0745 today (Tuesday 9th Jan 24). That is by any measure an incredibly fast and outstanding response by Donald Russel in resolving a problem for which they were not in any way responsible. Well done!
Sadly the Christmas order didn't arrive. If it had not been for me chasing it who knows if I would have ever received a replacement as it was, it arrived too late for one party - waste of food. I barely received an apology over the phone when I rang- not even a sausage roll to say sorry with the replacement order - what a company too busy thinking about the profits not the customer! I note your comments below BUT no one has been in touch therefore how can you say the matter has been resolved?

Xmas delivery of turkey crown and assorted sausages and red cabbage was simply delicious and so easy to cook and enjoy.
The Beef Wellington was superb, excellent beef and lovely pastry and mushroom topping to beef. Instructions for cooking very good and helpful. Still to defrost and cook ‘Bambi’ medallions and stuffed partridge.
Delicious pork loin on the bone. It was tender and full of flavour! We hsd it for our Christmas dinner - will definitely order again!
