The ordering experience was easy from the website. I chose the first available delivery, and the meat arrived frozen and on time (we were the first call). We ate lamb koftas the night after, and tonight picanha steaks. The reason I wanted to try an online supplier, was to try and get a good steak. My local butchers, supermarkets have failed me BUT tonight, Donald Russell have restored my faith in British meat. The koftas were good, but the steak was superb. I shall be buying from them again, it isn't cheap, but it's better than wasting less money on un-chewable steak from else where. Well done

Very well packaged and quality meats. Steak and Kidney Pie was delicious. I only ordered one to try. Will order them again as wife nicked most of that one. Very steaky very kidney with a delicious onion gravy. My only criticism is not with the produce but the courier. They left the package outside my door which opens straight on too the high street. They then text me to say they delivered it. Luckily nobody had stolen it. My Bell is numbered, like many couriers cannot be bothered to ring

The steak cheese burgers were formed meat and not very nice, very pricy.. I think I’ll stick to our local butchers

Bronze Turkey crown…..it was absolutely delicious and moist. Removed skin, put some thyme and butter on it, wrapped in cling film,then tinfoil. Cooked in a preheated oven at 160fan, for 40 minutes (500gms), with water in the bottom of the roasting tin. Fabulous. So good I have bought 2 more

The turkey parcel was dreadful I'm afraid and far from the usual standard. It was back up in case needed for the festive period and consumed early January. Other contents were quality.

The food from DR is great, and I love using them - BUT, they promote subscription companies such as 'Beer52' and 'Wine52' who tempt you in with great offers but then make it impossible to cancel! Shame - I recommend you look at this DR as damaging your great reputation.

Received my order for prawns and beef on time. Both were absolutely delicious. The sirloin joint was as tender as the fillet I buy locally. The prawns were the tastiest I have ever tasted

My Christmas order could have been an utter disaster, and nearly was twice when DHL failed to deliver it and it rotted in their warehouse. However, Donald Russell customer services were amazing, and shipped the same order out a total of 3 times, the third time via Fedex who delivered without a problem. The food was delicious as it always is, and I can not fault Donald Russell for the way they handled delivery problems that were out of their control. I only hope they have been able to claim the huge costs they must have incurred back from DHL.

Easy ordering. Good communication. Great piece of meat packaged and sent via a decent courier company . Great taste to meat . Will be reordering soon

When you use their offers this is e real quality service at a real value price. The Chateaubriand is the best tasting meat i have cooked. Also very clear cooking instructions online for each item, Hard to fault

First-time user, and it won't be the last time! Last Christmas I spent more time in the kitchen than with loved ones. Thanks to Donald Russell, all the food went in and came out pretty much together in under an hour. Everyone complimented the food and the Beef Wellington was wonderful. Will absolutely be doing the same next year! Thank you for making my Christmas much easier and enjoyable.

Tip top experience. First time buyer and this beef wellington could not be bettered. Arrived frozen from Scotland to Oxford as promised. Followed cooking instructions to the letter and the result was one of the nicest meals for a long time. Can’t recommend highly enough. Will use again.

Ordered five different vegetables for Xmas. Very excited as it would save a lot of time and stress on the big day. Had reservations once received that they had to be cooked from frozen. I was right to be concerned. The only item that cooked ok was the red cabbage. The rainbow carrots were awful, dirty sludgy coloured thin sticks that were slimy after cooking. They were that bad i nearly peeled some more carrots but didn't have time. The honey roasted parsnips were burnt in areas but at the same time hard in areas after cooking for the recommended time, they were also tasteless. The peas and sprouts were just OK. I followed the cooking instructions correctly. I spent £50 whereas I probably would have spent £10 if bought in the supermarket. Very disappointing and don't recommend . I have since been contacted by customer services, they were very apologetic and were very helpful and resolved my issues. Thank you

not goo bad wouldd beef wellington look good but when cooked not good cooked to time advised but still not cooked gave longer top of pastry looked good but botton still uncooked when i cut it steak looked grey and all the filling fell out it looked and was very dry i allways buy marks and spencers which is far better than this price was good but qualiy

Had the Christmas dinner box - turkey was tasteless and overwhelmed by garlic from the stuffing. Veg and Potatoes ok. Quite expensive for what it was. Sorry Donald Russell produce normally much better.

This is our 3rd christmas ordering from Donald Russell and our 3rd experience of fast ordering, reliable delivery, loads of choice, value for money and most of all, delicious food! You are crazy if you don't give them a try! Yummy!!!

It would be much better if items ordered in a set of 2 are INDIVIDUALLY wrapped as this would make it much easier and flexible for single people to use. Recently received 2 turkey parcels wrapped together and I cannot use for Christmas as I cannot separate without the possibility of damaging one of them not wanted at the same time. Would like cooking instructions on ALL items, not just those in boxes or with cardboard surrounds. Cooked a Pork with Crackling today which was tough and the red cabbage was basically inedible. Not a Christmas meal I had planned with a very good friend.

Fantastic produce Very pleased to see that DR provides offers on its meat products from time to time. Have ordered many times and will continue to order as food is excellent quality.

Christmas order was supposed to arrive today. Waited in all day and still nothing. It is now 22.26pm and still nothing. Really dissapointed. Won’t be ordering with Donald Russell again.
