Giving this company one star is one too many

Giving this company one star, is one star too many in my book. One cannot even speak with a customer service representative from this store to discuss their concerns and/or questions. It has to be done via email only and it takes on an average 2 days to receive a response back, sometimes longer. Additionally, the representative I dealt with via email, proved to be challenged with communicating. I had the unfortunate experience to be communicating with "Leslie" from this company, who in an email specifically stated "no customer is responsible for return shipping costs", when I asked her who would be responsible for the shipping costs, should I decide to return an item. I have her email to prove it and sent it back to her for her to review. Her response was sending me a link to the company's return policy. I would think a consumer should be able to rely upon the word of an employee, but obviously they cannot with DCG Stores. I returned the item, based on Leslie's response that no consumer was responsible for shipping returns. However, once I returned the item, Leslie had a different story. She said customers were responsible for the shipping costs. So to make a long story short, I bought an item for $200.00 returned it, which cost me $64.00 to ship back, and DCG Stores had the audacity to even deduct $11.00 restocking fees for the returned item and only credited me $188.00. In the end I paid $76.00 to end up with nothing! I asked in numerous emails to provide me with a supervisor's email so I could discuss this. Not once was this addressed. Leslie's response was "Hello, it looks like you already returned the item and got a refund.. Best, Leslie" How is that even possible that Leslie could have missed my entire point and request? It is unfortunate that DCG stores have failed this consumer, and by the looks of their reviews, have failed many, many, many more consumers, in addition to myself. I can only hope that one day this company needs to order an item from a company as bad as theirs, and they receive the same unprofessional and unsatisfactory treatment that they so flippantly pass along to their customers. In the interim, I pray that DCG Stores grows a conscience. Trust me, when I say, this has taught me a lesson to rely on reviews before making any future purchases with other companies. I doubt though, that any other company could come close to the poor treatment and service that DCG provides.

Never got my purchase

I ordered a youth desk on July 31, 2020. The site said it would ship in 2-3 business days. After hearing nothing from them after a week, I emailed them for a status. They emailed the following day saying my desk was on back order and was expected to ship on August 7th and I would get a tracking number when it shipped. I waited another week for the tracking number and emailed them back when I didn’t get a shipping and tracking confirmation. They never responded back to my email and they do not answer the phone. I noticed they did take the credit card hold off of my card. But still, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM.

Bad Experience.

I purchased goods May 31st 2020 to be delivered in 2weeks. Today is August 11, 2020 no goods, no refund. I have tried to get my refund to no avail. I feel hurt. DCG please give me a refund.

Terrible terrible terrible. Go elsewhere. This company takes your money and doesn’t send the product. Then they don’t answer the phone or reply to emails. They suck!

ordered a specific color mattress and…

ordered a specific color mattress and they sent the wrong one. After 3 months and 13 emails later, still NO conclusion to their mistake. They claim to be considering a replacement. I contacted the BBB and the state of California and are waiting to hear the results.

Horrible customer service!

After waiting for almost 2 months for a futon cover set, and countless emails later, they finally informed me that my futon cover set was discontinued and my order was cancelled by the manufacturer. So I then went online, found the same exact futon cover set at Wayfair, ordered it from Wayfair and had the futon cover set delivered in about a week after placing my order. I am still waiting to be reimbursed by DCG for the cancelled merchandise.

Great Futon

I just wanted to submit a positive review for DCG Stores, as opposed to all the negative ones I read. I ordered a futon and mattress on June 15th. I received both in separate shipments by June 30th - very reasonable. DCG was responsive to my inquiries and provided estimated ship dates, which were accurate. Both shipments arrived complete and undamaged. Bottom line is the futon and mattress are quality products. I am pleased with my experience with DCG Stores!

Buyer beware…

Order placed May 23. No notice that the furniture was shipped almost 6 weeks later. Customer service is non existent. Buyer beware! Revised - The shipping date was not true and the order was cancelled!

Nothing good to say about this company

I ordered a dresser and ended up canceling it because it was taking too long. I even sent an email stating that I wished to cancel. Almost 2 months after the original order, the dresser shows up at my house. I no longer have the money available in my account as it is allotted for my rent. So now, my rent check is going to be returned if they try to take the money. I'm not going to try to return an item I can barely lift. Terrible communication. Will never recommend or buy from again!

Please do not buy from this company they are so incompetent I ordered futon covers and they sent me stuffed cushions which I had to pay to dispose of then I ordered mattresses and they sent me the same stuffed lumpy cushions and tried to convince me they were mattresses once I unwrapped them there was no way I could get them rolled up and sent back they admitted they sent the wrong items them told me to hire a private shipper to ship them back at my cost. I must have sent them photos at least twenty times and got one response I need to pay to ship them back they should not be allowed to stay in business I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau

I am really disappointed in the bad…

I am really disappointed in the bad reviews i was a little nervous. We ordered a queen matress with medium firm latex foam and cotton filling it took a while to arrive and the tracking number was never sent to me i randomly got a call at 9 am saying my matress was in the city and i could either pick it up or they could continue shipping it and it would arrive the next day so long as i was there to sign for it which i appreciated greatly they even carried it up the stairs and i live on a 2nd story apartment i didnt have any problems with it it was double wrapped for protection i should have bought a cover for it i will probably buy one of there protective covers. Hopefully it wont take as long to get here but i understand they are made to order

I ordered a $700 Futon with Queen…

I ordered a $700 Futon with Queen mattress. I received the Futon and no mattress. They tell me they are made to order and will let me know when it ships. At this point no one is answering my emails and I still have no mattress! I will never order from this company again

Defective futon cover

The futon cover was smaller than stated on the website. It was unusable for my full-size, 6.5-7" deep futon. I attempted to stretch it out by various methods. My attempts to make it work extended beyond the 30-day return window. Even when I explained that the futon cover seemed defective because it was the wrong size, they would not accept a return, make an exchange, or offer any solution -- not even a 10% discount on a new order.

I ordered 2 futons with mattresses.... I received 2 futon frames, but only one mattress.... I have contacted this company at least 4 times to find out what's up...now they wont answer me ..AWFUL COMPANY

HORRIBLE COMPANY. & UNETHICAL COMPANY

HORRIBLE COMPANY....I ordered a vanity chair and when it finally came 3 weeks later it was defective. I contacted them for return information. I had to ship back to them AT MY EXPENSE ($50.65). Sent them a copy of the UPS receipt. The chair was received and I then began emailing and calling about the refund. Always told my refund will be sent soon. Today I received a very small refund that wasn’t even the full amount of the chair. What a horrible company to deal with. PLEASE DO NOT BUY OR USE THIS COMPANY.....SUCH A SCAM!!!

I would NEVER order from this crooked…

I would NEVER order from this crooked company again. Buyer beware. They have zero customer service!! I received part of my order, and after a week of trying to contact them about it, I asked to cancel the order. As soon as I sent an email about cancelling, they magically said it's been shipped, but there is no tracking number. They never answer phone calls, or emails. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY.

Absolutely thrilled!

We ordered a white, full size futon and 8 inch mattress. They didn't all arrive on the same day (3 boxes, 3 days) but that was fed ex - not the company, because we tracked all of them. They did all arrive within one week. We are very pleased with all items! The futon came with color coded instructions that were easy to follow, and the mattress is very, very comfortable! Couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you DCG!
