SCAMMER ALERT!

OMG... AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE A PLAGUE! They are scammers! I ordered a wood Futon Lounger and cover for the mattress I already had. Immediately they started asking me for 'Authentication' (proof) of the order amount. Which immediately made me question 'why they needed proof that my account was legit'? , I could not reach them by phone and I kept getting a 'canned response' stating that the "Authentication amount was incorrect" and that they tried to retrieve money from the account ending in"#" no number given, just the symbol. They managed to take out $1.99 before I realized that I was about to be scammed for a lot more than that! NO COMPANY TAKES EXTRA MONEY FROM AN ACCOUNT JUST TO PROVE THAT YOU HAVE THE FUNDS. I had to close my account so that they could not get more out of my account. PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE this company. THEY ARE FRAUDS!

Ordered a Futon Cover for an 8" queen…

Ordered a Futon Cover for an 8" queen futon mattress. Along with an $800.00 futon. The mattress cover came almost 1 month later, the cover weighed less than a roll of paper towels. I assumed it would be a very cheap inferior cover because of the weight. I returned it and got a 75% credit of the purchase price. No where in the T&C was a restocking fee listed - it was all 100% satisfaction comments. NOT HAPPY!

I would give negative 0

I would give negative 0 ! This is a DCG company that I honestly dont know how they are still in business!!! They sent the wrong mattress via futon creations and then argued to the end about it, denying it, even with all my pictures! I disputed the charges and won! This is a total SCAM company and most people will not fight like I did! Please report them to consumer affairs: Futon Creations and DCG Co. if you have been wronged too!

keep updating my order, but they won't ship it!

Every week I get an email that my order won't ship until I update my credit card, I do, and get an email thanking me and telling me my order will now process. March 24, April 4, April 13, three times this has happened! I finally cancelled my order!

The "free shipping" is not true

The "free shipping" is not true. I ordered a piece of furniture that was delivered by freight. Because a "lift gate" was used to lower it to ground, I was charged almost $200.00 additional from Fed Ex.

Zero stars

I would rate this company zero stars, if possible. Although phone numbers are listed on the website, they only reach a recording that says "due to Covid, no phone support is available." Phone service by other, more legitimate, companies doesn't seem to be an issue relevant to the current Covid situation. This company can only be contacted by email, and their email responses are less than worthless. In our case, we needed to return a futon cover after the thirty-day period due to an unusual circumstance. We were asking for a store credit toward an even larger purchase with them, something a legitimate company would ordinarily be glad to accommodate. Their only response: "Unfortunately, the return policy date has expired. We cannot accept the return." No direct response to the problem we had described, and, when I asked that the issue be escalated to a supervisor (normal procedure with phone support), the response was: "per company policy the return policy date has expired. We cannot accept the return." That is the sum total of their "customer service." Do not do business with this company or with futoncreations.com, which is a thinly disguised version of DCG Stores (the web pages look exactly the same, with the same prices). You would regret it. They have an 89% one-star rating on another review site.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. No phone customer support “due to Covid”- come on. Still?? What a scam. And their phone number is all over the website haha. Only email support from someone who couldn’t seem to understand the issue at all and just kept saying the same things over again but no actual resolution for my return issue. Trying to return a futon chair mattress (which also arrived without the ordered ottoman) and because of the size was seeking help to get the box picked up by fed ex. Zero help. Like they just didn’t understand the issue. I have asked for a manager to call me now that this has gotten so bad but of course zero response. Should NOT be this hard. Would not buy from this company again. Completely unhelpful. When I asked (twice) to be contacted by a manager the same unhelpful person replied back “How can I help you”??????? Awful. And stuck with the unwanted mattress.

Stay away!!!!

Stay away!! This company must be scamming peoples credit card info. They would keep emailing me that my address was not correct. I called my CC company and they confirmed that I had the correct address. I'm assuming they are a front for credit card info that is used later on. They also have no phone assistance available.

Horrible customer service, late delivery and return policy

Horrible! Ordered a futon cover from Amazon. It took a week to deliver and since we needed one before that, we got another one. Now, we just learned that we have to pay for our own shipping cost back. No where on the Amazon listing that this is mentioned. We contacted the seller and they argued that it was shipped "on time." As consumers, we only care about delivery date, not shipping date! Most of us pay for Amazon Prime to get fast shipping and hassle-free return. Not with this company. They should NOT be allowed to be on Amazon!

I would have given a Zero if that was a…

I would have given a Zero if that was a choice. Do not order from this company. They sent me a futon mattress that was poorly packed, damaged, ripped, and dirty with dirt marks on one side on the mattress. I immediately contacted my amazon account to get a full refund, as no customer should receive damaged goods, and I was told they will refund me once I PAY TO SEND THIS FULL SIZE MATTRESS back to them!!! Seriously!! A customer should not have to pay for return on a damaged product that is the company's sole responsibility and complete lack of quality. Stay away from this business! I will be taking further steps. I refuse to pay for a return----this was not my fault. DCG also shows a picture (image) online about what the mattress looks like inside----it is completely fraudulent! I have pictures to show it is NOT what they are claiming on Amazon and I have pictures of the damaged futon mattress upon delivery arrival.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. This company is NOT reliable. A brief summary of my experience: I tried to order a futon cover, and then went around and around for days with their customer service department because they struggled to confirm my billing address (it's been the same for 20 years); meanwhile, the charge was clearly visible on my credit card statement, and VISA said there was no problem they could detect. After DCG charged me for the order, they wrote about ten days later to inform me the item was no longer in stock, and then took forever to refund me. I figured we were done. About 2 weeks later they emailed to say the item had arrived in their warehouse and they'd 'accidentally' mailed it to me. This led to another endless round of emails, not to mention their requirement that I go to a UPS drop off to return the item (I figured they'd count it as a loss and let me keep it, given it was their error). I should add, too, that I took a look at the item out of curiosity, and the manufacturing quality was VERY poor. I could have sewn a better quality one myself. Two weeks have passed, UPS has confirmed delivery, and I have yet to receive credit. I'm now in round three of emails with them. I'd estimate I've spent five hours or more sorting out issues with them. Note, too.... They claim 'because of COVID' they can't speak with customers by phone, and thus the ongoing run-around by email. Good luck to anyone who decides to buy something from them. I've never in my life dealt with a company that is so poorly managed.

I gave 3 stars. The wood futon is really nice. Yes, the customer service needs alot of improvement but they did reply to our emails same or next day. Three stars were because of the mattress. We bought a 10". It's too BIG and BULKY for the futon frame. It's HEAVY too. I wish we had ordered the 8". My suggestion to the store is to offer 6"and 8" only. People would be more satisfied with their purchase. My silver color is really a brown too. I am stuck with my mattress now because I can't afford to pay shipping to send back. Final word, 6"or 8" mattress is best and the futon is a beauty! #DannyPresnellNC

futon mattress

I ordered a futon mattress. I found customer service to be very responsive and helpful. I ordered the 10" with foam pads in the middle and cotton on outer layer. Although I would like the fabric liner to be better quality, I think it's great for what I paid. It only took 6 days to be at my door from day of order.

(Q) On Tuesday, we established that when I search for "gray futon covers" on your website, "rugby silver" is returned as a result. I'm not picky. I'm furnishing a room with several shades of gray. I ordered it. What I received is definitely brown or taupe that clashes with every gray in the room. In order to save me the expense of shipping and you the expense of refunding the price of a full mattress, and to stand behind your customer satisfaction guarantee, I asked if you would credit me for an actually gray futon cover from your store-- not ideal for any of us, but the solution with the least negative impact all the way around. You said you were triple-checking with your warehouse, as you were trying to help me as much as you can in all the ways you are able. Will you please credit me for an actually gray cover for this not-gray mattress? (A) We are sorry to hear that your ordered item(s) did not work for you. If you are exchanging, please submit a new order online for the correct item. To return: 1. Please write the return authorization number "RA291661" on the shipping label and Package. Returns must be shipped within 10 days of the return authorization generation. 2. We ordered a futon bed

We ordered a futon bed, only because they advertise it's made in the USA. The shipping was fast, but when we got the boxes, they all said, made in Indonesia. I emailed them about this, their reply was, the mattress is made in the USA , but said nothing about the rest of the bed. I emailed them back and said their advertising is false, claiming its made in the USA. If I knew it was made in Indonesia, I never would have bought it.

I wish I could rate this 0 stars. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I ordered through Amazon for my DCG product. I ordered a granite kitchen counter. About 2 weeks after I received the product, unopened, I decided to just get cabinets installed into my kitchen instead of using this. When I went to return the product, I realized that the company does not provide a shipping label, instead, you have to pay for shipping which in my case would be nearly $300 just to ship it back...I tried calling the number, there is an automated line that says they aren't taking calls due to COVID... Upon emailing them, I received very rude service. I asked for a mangers name repeatedly and do not get one. I asked for a number, they continue to give me the number that is not taking calls. I asked for an alternative mangers email-they do not give me one. They suggested I donate my purchase...Donate a $400 unopened cabinet??? That is crazy. I would NEVER purchase from here again and wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Not fast shipping but otherwise satisfied.

I ordered a lucite chair for my vanity. One week after I placed my order it had not shipped, so I sent an email asking when it would ship. Later that day I received a shipping notification email, though I never received a direct reply to my email. It took another week for the chair to be delivered (via Fedex). The chair looks exactly as it did in the picture and met all of my expectations. So while I would not say this company provides fast shipping as they advertise on their website, I would consider ordering from them again.
