increased my bill 260% with no warning
They increased my fixed monthly bill 260% (to £353!!) with the only warning being sent the working day before they lifted payment!! This was despite my usage never going above £175 pcm. Scummy company.
Community Utilities has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Have you been charged a surcharge on your bill for Moda? This is likely illegal, and CU should be prosecuted for this.

You can't telephone them and it takes 3 months for them to respond to emails. Once you set up a direct debit you can't cancel it and they keep on taking your money long after you have left your apartment.
They do not ever provide a phone number but when you email them they rarely respond. They cannot provide you accurate calculations of what you owe. The staff are incompetent. I've never had this much trouble with an energy provider before. Avoid like the plague
The worst and the bad company I have seen in the uk. Be careful if you buy/ rent a property that the utilities bills is managed by this company. They count us wrongly, and forced us to pay the expensive and ridiculous bills. This company never answer our email or so-call chatroom on their website. We sent them email every month and ask for meter records, but they never replied us in six months!
Unfortunately I was made to use this company as they monopolised the development I lived in. It is now 3 weeks after my move out date and 7 weeks after my notice to Community Utilities of my move out date, and I have yet to be issued a final bill or refund of my credit balance. I was assured that I would not need to do anything further, and I receive any refunds into my payment card. 2 weeks ago I was charged again (despite having moved out and my account being in credit). I immediately emailed Community Utilities (you can only email them as they have removed their contact number) and have still not heard back. Will I get my money back? No idea. Avoid like the plague (if you can help it).
