Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

I decided to do the "recommended" 3 years course with Chrysalis Courses. I am now a qualified and practising Hypnotherapist and Counsellor. I found Chrysalis to be very supportive during my studies helping me to achieve the goal of changing my profession and taking a new direction in life. I would highly recommend anyone to take the full 3 year course if you are serious in becoming a qualified counsellor with qualifications that is accredited & recognised throughout the UK and abroad and provision to be a member of the National Counselling Society and Hypnotherapy Society. The course material and methods of learning have made learning interesting and possible even while holding down a job. I have now quite my job and have my own private practise. My qualifications have also allowed be to become a volunteer with counselling organisations as my way of giving something meaningful back to society. Colin M

I am very disappointed of this corse very poorly made and for its content I could say is not worth the money which you pay.I finished my first year and I decided not to continue with year 2 and 3.I submitted my 3 case studies I was waiting 2 months and 2 weeks just to get a response letter from them which was in my all 3 cases fail and without any chance of resubmission.They charge me one month more for nothing and I wasn't refunded and they sent me straight away a certificate of attendance just to shut my mouth.Very dissapointed as I can't get anybody from Chrysalis to have any feedback about this.Anyway beware of Crysalis is a complete waste of money and time.

Hypnotherapy in the first year was great , good teacher and I learned a lot. Second year not so great.Firstly we swapped tutors after a few liessons which felt a bit disruptive. The recommended reading list was very poor with some books being barely relevant to the subject matter . If it wasnt for our very helpful tutor who recommended more informative and relevant books it would have been hopeless trying to gather information for the essays. Also the fact we had counselling case studies at the end of the second year was not appropriate in my view. I did not feel I was nearly competent or adequately qualified to take on psychological issues of people I had never met even with supervision. I believe this is going to change from now on and not a moment too soon. The course content itself in the second year was ok and with enough extra reading I felt I was gaining the knowledge I needed. I will update this review when finished my third year. Overall I have enjoyed the course so far .

I would not hesitate joining this course at all. I have enjoyed every minute of it, there is a lot of self awareness required, and a lot of homework, but it is all so worth it at the end of every year when you are closer to your achievements. I feel extremely proud of my achievements so far.

I found the Chrysalis course very well run and informative, I feel like I have learnt a lot this year and it has been very enjoyable. From my first meeting with Mae Williams everything was explained and ran very smoothly. Spreading the cost of the course has allowed me to do it as it is a lot of money to find and pay upfront. Also classes being held at the weekends meant you they didn't interfere with the day job. Bob Collins is a lovely man and was always constructive and helpful throughout the year, I had lovely classmates too and have made some great new friends.

Excellent and well thought material, presented in a way that was stimulating and thought provoking. The handouts were informative and written by someone possessing an open mind, a well of expertise and witty humour. For me, as a mature adult student, it was freeing and refreshing as it it did not put unnecessary restrictions on the mind often prevalent within more formal and academic study. In my humble view it would have been great to have an extra syllabus per month to include a discussion on the theory behind counselling process and to practise counselling. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and potent course offering many opportunities for self-growth and development to become a professional and well rounded therapist and I would recommend to any sincere and dedicated person embarking on the career in counselling and psychotherapy.

Chrysalis have a serious lack of communication and support for their students. The qualifications they offer aren't as good as they sound. I was sucked in by an advert, which has subsequently been changed, due to involvement by the advertising standards agency. The lack of support is the worst thing and they don't directly answer questions when asked.
