The ordering process is very good but…
The ordering process is very good but my criticism is lack of communication post invoicing regarding delivery. This is the second time now that I’ve had to chase delivery dates and on both occasions the 2-3 working day target has been missed. I have some understanding of the logistics and getting goods to the customer but this is about communication; if there is a delay just let me know so I can accept the situation and deal with it from my end.

Poor communication & delays. Non stock.
Items listed as in stock and available for delivery within 2/3 working days. This was not true. And then expected me to order ten times the required quantity in order for them to make an order from their supplier. Incredibly poor communication resulting in a week+ delay. I won’t be returning, we regularly process six figure material costs & are always on the look to find competitive supplier to work with, however it seems this company are not yet there in terms of processing.

It would have been a 1 star but the customer service guy via email was quick to email updates about the order. i'm not a builder but for DIY for my business. Ordered Planed square edge timber (25x25mm) or 1 x 1 inch "specifically" due to the dimension - 66 metres worth. To be used as decorative cladding and to sit flush with 25mm cable trunking. Never had an issue from other suppliers in the past as have another business site with the same , due to stock availability ordered with this company. but to place +/- 5mm variance on something that's only 25mm to begin with isn't great. Low and behold the wood arrived and ALL of it is smaller more like 20/21mm! I have no time to send back and source another supplier as i'm closing my business very soon/ advertised its happening and all wood needs to be stained before this scheduled work. Now i have to deal with cable trunking that's going to stick out past the depth of this wood. Won't be using again.. but lesson learned - get what you pay for.

It is ridiculous the fact there is 10%…
It is ridiculous the fact there is 10% online for blue light holders when spent above 350£ and when you appoint the code only give you 10£ discount. Nothing mentioned on website. When called in staff unable to help.

Fabulous communication from both Becky at building materials & their chosen delivery partner (CCF) Both were polite, professional, efficient and courteous throughout. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again. Thank you building materials!
