Our experience started with my father walking to the toilet and asking the manager where the toilet was to be found. The manager neither stopped nor gave him other than a general direction of travel.
In my considerable years of life, I've never purchased a bottle of wine, and it has been plonked on the table and not opened or offered to anyone.
On asking if there were any specials, I was told 'no idea...... do you want me to check....'. I can't fault the food but why would you pay the prices asked without the service to go with it!
When we politely asked for the service charge to be removed, we were told 'I'll have to check with my manager.' When I challenged it, I was told that was the policy! I can only fault the management as even after refusing the service, they couldn't even be bothered to ask the reason why! Such a shame as we had travelled for my Nans 90th birthday, which again they had been made aware of and nothing was mentioned even though other tables were being recognised for birthdays.....
