Prepaid reservation was cancelled on a pretext and then was insulted by staff.
Terrible company. Was late to pick up a vehicle because my flight was delayed. They gave away my car rental and charged me for it. They wouldn't let me talk to a manager. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Just look at their Google reviews. More 1 stars than everything else put together.
The on-site manager went above and beyond to accommodate our needs including coming in early on his day off to open the store and drive us to the airport.
I was concerned about insurance for van and found it was cheaper to contact my agent in Idaho to be covered rather than what was offered through Airport Van Rental.
My overall experience was not a bad one. When I got to the airport, I tried using the phone number listed in the email to call and ask for a ride. The phone number in the email didn't work. So I googled it and requested a ride. Whoever answered the phone hung up on me. So I called back. I got a very nice lady who told me that the shuttle didn't go to my terminal because of something to do with the hotel. Really wish that was mentioned in the email. So I had to trek two kids and a lot of luggage to he terminal over and call back again because for some reason they just couldn't have the shuttle drive over there to meet me as I made my way over. So I called when I got there and waited the additional 10 minutes or so for the shuttle. We finally made it to the rental place and the car seats that I requested were not in the car when I got there. The check in process after that was relatively smooth, I just wish that the phone number was up to date in the email, the terminals that the shuttle can't go to were listed and more importantly, that ACE was with the other car rental places close to the airport.
Employees very patience and clear about rental guidelines and additional services Excellent prices... much lower than other airport rental companies Will use again when I return to Denver

Flew into Las Vegas Way to early on Tuesday. I arrived at the rental car terminal at 6:05 am and read the instructions that says that you can walk across the street to get your van or call and they will send a bus for you. I called, but found that they do not open until 7:00 am, (no one should be up at that time anyway). I asked the security guy where AVR is located and he pointed off to the left across the street to a building that had about 100 vans there. So I had my 2 guys stay with our luggage and walked across the street and found that they were not open yet. Grace Imperial was saying good buy to her 2 children and arrived early to work and I asked here to show a little love and she did. She let me in Early, Gave us a Brand new Dodge Caravan with not a mark on it perfectly clean and ready to go. If you rent as much as I do when you go off the major brands (FOX and others ) check out can easily take 15-30 minutes for all the up-sells. Grace had me done in 5 Minutes. She was Amazing. I was able to go across the street Grab my luggage and 2 sons and head on my way. It was actually closer and easier they the majors. I will defiantly be back. Glenn Bigearinc.com
The van was great, but the process to get the rental took way too long. An hour and a half is too long especially since we did have a reservation.
Easy and affordable-Everything went as planned and nice people to work with. Will use them again.
Long lines and long wait times. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Customer service representatives at the call center are not accurately trained on site policies therefore resulting in misinformation.
Was not aware to where I was suppose to drop off van after hours... and charged us a fee to add on a driver... was quoted one price and it doubled when we went to get our van....

The JEEP SUV that was rented to me had a crack in the windshield that I didn't notice until I was well under way. When I returned the car the attendant gave me a very hard time about the cracked windshield implying I was responsible. Thankfully a manager had a record of the cracked windshield. I should not have been treated so badly by the attendant. The vehicle should never have been rented with a cracked windshield. I will NEVER rent from Airport Van Rental Again.
Didn't have the style of car reserved, instead gave us a beat-up mini-van, literally scraped up. Passenger side of van had been damaged on both doors. Hits & dings on all sides of the bumper, so many it was hard to mark all the spots on their little vehicle drawing, we took cell-phone photos to make sure it was documented. Didn't like the $200 deposit, that wasn't communicated. Would not use the web-sight again for car rental.
This company ripped us off with their gas and renters protection charge..they charged us $18.95 per day for the renters protection fee without my consent and they put initials on the form and telling me that I sign it, I did not agree and sign the renters protection fee. Before we pick up the van they offered us that we don’t need to fill up gas on the van and they will only charge us $3.69/ gallon during drop off..when we return the van the tank is almost half full but they still charge us $78 for full tank..they don’t want to talk to us when we complain about this..stay away from this rental company..
The service was great. The only thing I did not like is the fact they hold an additional 200 dollars that I was not aware until I was at the counter to get the car. I do not like surprises so It was inconvenient for me when the lady told me.
Both van drivers to and from the airport did not help us with our bags and the attendant when checking out made it feel like he really had better things to do rather than check us out.
We rented 2 vans from AVR van rental and we were very satisfied with the service that was provided to us. The vans were very clean and brand new. I will strongly recommend family and friends to rent from AVR in Huston Thank you
Great value & customer service. Would've gave 5 stars.....but it was a little confusing on how to get to lot from LAX.
